BET Awards 2025: Complete Winners List
Originally appeared on E! Online
You can bet the BET Awards have kicked off with a bang.
This year's show, hosted by June 9, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles features some of the biggest names across music, film and sports—and, as always, it's some stiff competition.
For one, Kendrick Lamar scored 11 nominations across six categories, naturally earning nods for Album of the Year for GNX, as well as Video of the Year for his impressive 'Not Like Us.'
Meanwhile, Drake also managed five nods of his own, including for Video of the Year for 'Family Matters,' one of his own diss tracks toward Kendrick. And while the rappers' beef certainly contributed to Kendrick's whirlwind year, he is also up alongside SZA for their '30 for 30' and 'Luther' collaborations.
In addition to the 'Kill Bill' singer's nominations with Kendrick, she—along with Ari Lennox, Arya Starr, Coco Jones, Kehlani, Muni Long, Summer Walker and Victoria Monet—is also up for one of her own in the Best Female Pop/R&B Artist category.

Of course, music is just one of the many industries being honored by the Black Entertainment Television network's annual affair. Piano Lesson, as well as and SZA's One of Them Days, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Luther: Never Too Much, Rebel Ridge, The Six Triple Eight and Mufasa: The Lion King, all earned recognition.
Trust, sports stars are being honored, too. WNBA star Angel Reese, as well as her former Louisiana State University teammate Flau'jae Johnson are up for the Sportswoman of the Year Award, alongside other renowned players including the Aces' A'ja Wilson and USC player Juju Watkins, as well as South Carolina coach Dawn Staley, Coco Gauff, boxer Claressa Shields, and Olympians Sha'Carri Richardson and Simone Biles.

Tyra Banks and Jenna Lyons Among Project Runway Guest Judges for Season 21
Season 21 of Project Runway is coming soon! Not only did we just learn the lineup of contestants, but Freeform also just announced the slate of guest judges. The panel is about to be star-studded when the show returns this summer. They've tapped celebs from all across the worlds of fashion and media, including Tyra Banks and Jenna Lyons. Check out the full lineup below. E! News dropped all of the tea about the upcoming season of Project Runway, which features two past contestants and a RuPaul's Drag Race alum. Heidi Klum will lead the show, with Nina Garcia and Law Roach serving as judges. Christian Siriano is going to be a mentor for the designers in the workroom. That's already a solid lineup, but the guest judges are like the icing on the cake. Tyra, who hosted America's Next Top Model for ages, will bring her expertise to the panel in addition to Jenna, who leveraged her J. Crew success into a stint on The Real Housewives of New York. Other A-listers slated to appear throughout the season include Sofia Vergara, Joan Smalls, Mickey Guyton, and Nikki Glaser. Plus, there are a ton of famous designers like Christian Cowan and Michael Kors. Freeform is pulling out all of the stops to make sure the show's jump from Bravo is successful. In an interview with E! News, Christian teased the dynamic on the judges' panel. He said that fans can expect to see Law delivering his signature, unfiltered commentary. And since everyone has different tastes, some of the judges don't always see eye to eye. He teased, 'Having Law as a judge is incredible, because you're getting very real fashion in the moment.' 'It's incredible Heidi being back makes it so fun and amazing,' Christian continued. 'Her and Law don't like the same things, and Nina doesn't like the same things.' Project Runway returns Thursday, July 31, at 9/8c. on Freeform. TELL US – ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO PROJECT RUNWAY SEASON 21? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE LINEUP OF GUEST JUDGES? Atlanta rapper Silentó gets 30 years after pleading guilty to killing his cousin
Silentó, the Atlanta rapper known for his hit song 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),' pleaded guilty but mentally ill Wednesday to voluntary manslaughter and other charges in the 2021 shooting death of his 34-year-old cousin. The 27-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Ricky Lamar Hawk, was sentenced to 30 years in prison, DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston said in a statement. Hawk also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, possessing a gun while committing a crime and concealing the death of another. A murder charge was dropped as part of the plea agreement. 3 Rapper Silento, legal name Richard Lamar 'Ricky' Hawk, is seen in a police booking photo after his arrest on murder charges February 1, 2021 in DeKalb County, Georgia. DeKalb County Sheriff's Office via Getty Images DeKalb County police found Frederick Rooks III shot in the leg and face in the early morning hours of Jan. 21, 2021 outside a home in a suburban area near Decatur. Police said the found 10 bullet casings near Rooks' body, and security video from a nearby home showed a white BMW SUV speeding away shortly after the gunshots. A family member of Rooks told police that Silentó had picked up Rooks in a white BMW SUV, and GPS data and other cameras put the vehicle at the site of the shooting. Silentó confessed about 10 days later after he was arrested, police said. Ballistics testing matched the bullet casings to a gun that Silentó had when he was arrested, authorities said. Rooks' brothers and sisters told DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Courtney L. Johnson before sentencing that Silentó should have gotten a longer sentence, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The rapper was a high school junior in suburban Atlanta in 2015 when he released 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)' and watched it skyrocket into a dance craze. Silentó made multiple other albums, but said in an interview with the medical talk show 'The Doctors' in 2019 that he struggled with depression and had grown up in a family where he witnessed mental illness and violence. 3 Silento arrives at the BET Awards in Los Angeles, June 26, 2016. Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP 'I've been fighting demons my whole life, my whole life,' he said in 2019. 'Depression doesn't leave you when you become famous, it just adds more pressure,' Silentó said then, urging others to get help. 'And while everybody's looking at you, they're also judging you.' 'I don't know if I can truly be happy, I don't know if these demons will ever go away.' Silentó had been struggling in the months before the arrest. His publicist, Chanel Hudson, has said he had tried to kill himself in 2020. 3 Rapper Silento poses for a portrait in New York, July 21, 2015. Drew Gurian/Invision/AP In August 2020, Silentó was arrested in Santa Ana, California, on a domestic violence charge. The next day, the Los Angeles Police Department charged him with assault with a deadly weapon after witnesses said he entered a home where he didn't know anyone looking for his girlfriend and swung a hatchet at two people before he was disarmed. In October 2020, Silentó was arrested after police said they clocked him driving 143 miles per hour (230 kilometers per hour) on Interstate 85 in DeKalb County. Hudson said at the time of Silentó's arrest in the killing of Rooks that he had been 'suffering immensely from a series of mental health illnesses.'

Gigi Hadid & Bradley Cooper's Date Night Includes Surprise Celeb Cameo
Originally appeared on E! Online Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper are happy in this modern world. Case in point: The supermodel and the A Star Is Born actor were in good spirits as they walked hand-in-hand to Il Mulino in New York City. While waiting outside the Italian restaurant, the couple—who have been dating since 2023—were seen sharing a laugh before hopping onto a FaceTime call with Bradley's longtime friend Will Arnett. For their date night, Gigi, 30, donned on a yellow dress and an oversized brown leather jacket. She accessorized her summery look with white socks and brown loafers. Meanwhile, Bradley, 50, kept it casual with a dark button-down top, matching pants and black boots. He completed his 'fit with sunglasses and a camouflage print baseball cap. But Will isn't the only the only famous figure who's friendly with the couple. After all, Gigi and Bradley have been on several outings with and boyfriend Travis Kelce, including to the singer's Eras Tour show in Paris last year. More from E! Online 1000-Lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Unveils Transformation After Skin Removal Surgery Aaron Rodgers Reveals He's Married Gilligan's Island Star Tina Louise Makes Rare Public Outing at 91 "It was fun," Travis shared of the experience during a May 2024 episode of his New Heights podcast. "I got to see Gigi and Bradley—BC, Big Coop—we were all in the suite having a blast." And this April, there was another star-studded hangout at Gigi's 30th birthday, with Anne Hathaway, Tan France, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Martha Hunt and the Guest in Residence founder's sister gathering alongside Bradley to celebrate the milestone. Still, Gigi—who shares 4-year-old daughter Khai with ex Zayn Malik—does prefer to keep her romance with Bradley as low-key as possible. As she explained in a March interview with Vogue, "You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating and even for my friends who aren't public figures, that's hard." "Then there's another added layer of privacy and security," continued Gigi, who met Bradley at a backyard birthday party for a mutual friend's kid. "You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on Deuxmoi or whatever, but you just don't know." For more on their relationship, keep reading.
