Delaware police identify Clayton man killed after running stop sign
A 73-year-old man killed after he ran a stop sign near Clayton has been identified by Delaware State Police as Joseph Bonello.
Bonello, of the Clayton area, was driving a Jeep Compass north on Alley Mill Road west of Clayton about 12:05 p.m. on April 22.
As he approached Clayton Delaney Road, police said, he "rolled through" the stop sign at the intersection and his Jeep was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado.

The Silverado's driver, a 40-year-old Clayton-area man, and his two passengers were taken to an area hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries. They were later released.
Bonello was also taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Delaware woman dies after crash involving EMS vehicle, police say
Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving an EMS vehicle in Milton. A Ford Bronco travelling north on Mulberry Street was approaching Milton-Ellendale Highway at the same time that a Sussex County EMS Chevrolet Suburban, which was responding to an emergency call with its emergency equipment activated, was approaching the same intersection on Milton-Ellendale Highway, police said. The preliminary investigation showed the Bronco going past a stop sign and into the path of the EMS vehicle, causing a collision on the passenger side of the Bronco. The Bronco struck a tree after the collision. The driver of the Bronco was a 74-year-old woman from Ellendale, who was taken to the hospital, where she died. Police are withholding her name until family is notified. The driver of the EMS vehicle was a 38-year-old woman who is a Sussex County Paramedic. She went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The investigation into the collision continues. Loose tire injures two highway cyclists near Atwood
RAWLINS COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A loose trailer tire slammed into two cyclists Friday afternoon along U.S. Highway 36, leaving both with serious injuries. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Friday as a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling on U.S. 36, towing a trailer. The trailer lost a front tire, which broke free and struck two 75-year-old cyclists riding on the shoulder. KDOT changes weekend closure plans for I-135 in Wichita Both cyclists, from Marion, were taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries. The driver of the truck, a 54-year-old man from Granby, Montana, was not injured. Troopers noted the trailer had no tag. The crash is still under investigation. For more Kansas news, click here. ‘Doomsday mom' Lori Vallow Daybell kicked out of court after arguing with judge during attempted murder trial
Convicted killer 'Doomsday mom' Lori Vallow Daybell clashed with an Arizona judge and was kicked out of the courtroom during a contentious attempted murder trial. Vallow Daybell, who is representing herself in the case, was removed from a Phoenix courtroom Friday afternoon by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Justin Beresky, the same day she cross-examined the man she is accused of plotting to kill. The 51-year-old mom is on trial for allegedly conspiring to kill her niece's ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux. Prosecutors allege Vallow Daybell and her now-deceased brother Alex Cox conspired to kill Boudreaux and that Cox fired the shot that was inches away from hitting the estranged relative's head. 'Do we get a hearing on what 404b (character evidence) can come in,' Vallow Daybell said, according to courtroom footage by East Idaho News. 'If I opened the door, do I get a hearing do we stop the trial and I get a hearing?' Beresky cut off Vallow Daybell's inquiries, saying there could be a brief hearing if she wanted. 'If you are going to introduce how you have great character and good character we will have a short hearing on what evidence they can bring in to rebut that character which could include that you have been convicted of four murders,' Beresky interjected.
