7 best bets to miss the cut at the 2025 Masters (including Wyndham Clark!)
While only one golfer will take home the green jacket at Augusta National this Sunday evening, there's $20 million up for grabs across the board at the 2025 Masters.
All the players in the field have to do to claim a share of it is make it to the weekend. That's much easier said than done, of course. After two rounds of play, the field will be trimmed down to the top 50 (and ties) on Friday evening. Everyone else goes home empty-handed after 36 holes.
We saw some big names miss the cut last year — including Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Viktor Hovland and Wyndham Clark — so we know even the most elite players on the course aren't immune from the cut line.
So which familiar faces might be headed home early this year? We've got seven names circled.
All odds via BetMGM
Max Homa
Make Cut: +125
+125 Miss Cut: -155
It's been a terrible, no good season for the 34-year-old who finished T3 at Augusta last year. After starting the season with a T26 at The Sentry, Homa has made just one cut and missed five consecutive — including last week's Valero Texas Open. After recently splitting with his long-time friend and caddie, Joe Griener, it may take some time before we can trust Homa again.
Matt Fitzpatrick
Make Cut: -160
-160 Miss Cut: +130
Fitzpatrick has also struggled quite a bit this season. And he's also changed caddies. That hasn't helped him quite yet, but again, give it time. For now, stay away from the Englishman who has back-to-back MCs in his last two outings.
Thomas Detry
Make Cut: -160
-160 Miss Cut: +130
Detry is a debutant, which already means he more than likely can't contend this year. But more concerning is the fact his Strokes Gained (-0.5) has cratered since winning the WM Phoenix Open. After back-to-back MCs at the Arnold Palmer Invitation and The Players, he bounced back with a T22 at the Valspar and T47 at the Houston Open. Considering what awaits him at Augusta, now is the time to fade Detry again.
Michael Kim
Make Cut: -175
-175 Miss Cut: +140
Kim had a few strong weeks with a T6 at the Cognizant setting up a fourth-place finish at the Arnold Palmer, but he missed the cut in his only other Masters appearance back in 2019. His True Strokes Gained at Augusta is an abysmal -4.38.
Wyndham Clark
Make Cut: -225
-225 Miss Cut: +180
Wyndham missed the cut at Augusta last year after stringing together rounds of 73 and 78 to reach seven-over par. It was bad. No other way to put it. He was -2.23 strokes gained vs. his expectation and -0.85 True Strokes gained over all, per DataGolf. If you want to bank on his recent form, go for it. But there's a big difference between Houston's Memorial Park and Augusta National.
Brian Harman
Make Cut: -175
-175 Miss Cut: +140
Congrats on the Texas Open win, Brian Harman, but we're still fading you this week. Harman has missed the cut in three straight Masters Tournaments after a T12 in 2021. His True Strokes gained is pretty negligible at -.10, but we're going to stay away regardless.
Billy Horschel
Make Cut: -160
-160 Miss Cut: +130
Horschel has missed the cut at every big event so far this season with the exception of The Players, which is held at TPC Sawgrass near his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The Genesis Invitational, WM Phoenix Open and Arnold Palmer Invitational each saw Horschel make an early exit.

The club has scored 22 goals this year, compared to just seven given up, resulting in a plus-15 goal differential. The Kansas City Current have won their last three matches in a row, including most recently defeating the Chicago Stars 3-1 behind goals scored by Beatriz Zaneratto, Joāo, Temwa Chawinga, and Kayla Sharples. BetMGM Bonus Code WIREBG150 Delivers $150 in Bonus Bets for UFC 316, NBA, NHL & More

BetMGM Bonus Code WIREBG150 Delivers $150 in Bonus Bets for UFC 316, NBA, NHL & More On the UFC's list of toughest pound-for-pound fighters, bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili is ranked No. 4. He puts his bantamweight belt (and his reputation) on the line tonight against Sean O'Malley as the main event for UFC 316. If you're excited about the card Dana White has pulled together at the Prudential Center in New Jersey and looking to make a wager, you can score $150 in bonus bets with the BetMGM bonus code WIREBG150. The BetMGM bonus code WIREBG150 is available to new bettors in Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia. It awards $150 in bonus bets to those who place and win a first bet of $10 or more. For new bettors in the rest of the states where BetMGM operates, the BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE will be your thing — and you'll collect a protected first bet up to $1,500. You can't go wrong with either, as both are considered among the best sportsbook promos in the industry. This won't be the first time Dvalishvili and O'Malley have clashed in the Octagon. Last Sept. 14 in Las Vegas when O'Malley owned the belt, he was a slight favorite to win the UFC 306 main event but lost a unanimous decision to Dvalishvili. Since that time, Dvalishvili defended his title in January against Umar Nurmagomedov. Meanwhile, according to Yahoo! Sports, O'Malley has undergone hip surgery and quit using marijuana to maximize his chances to regain the belt. According to the BetMGM app — one of the nation's top sports betting apps — bettors are skeptical about 'Suga' Sean's chances. He entered the weekend at +240 to win. In the other title fight on the UFC 316 card, women's bantamweight champion Julianna Pena is a huge underdog (+500) to keep the belt against Kayla Harrison. There's just one catch: Angel Reese will be there for the Sky, but Clark isn't expected to play for the Fever because she has been dealing with a quadriceps issue and his missed four straight games. Nonetheless, it's the WNBA's fiercest rivalry and there could be fireworks even if there's no Clark. The Indiana Pacers won Game 1 by one point, 111-110, in an instant classic. Despite the win, the Pacers are still a big underdog to win the best-of-seven series, which continues Sunday night. The folks at BetMGM are offering new users an offer to get your first bet back in bonus bets if your first bet doesn't win, up to $1,500, for the 2025 NBA Finals between the Pacers and Thunder. What our Post expert thinks about the NBA Finals It says an awful lot about how good the Oklahoma City Thunder have been this season when they lose Game 1 at home and are still -330 favorites to win the NBA Finals. One thing is for sure, however: The Indiana Pacers will not go quietly. A win on Sunday would put Indiana in the driver's seat for the rest of the series. 21+. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.
