Don't sleep on Amazon's huge $350 Pixel 9 Pro XL Prime Day discount if you're into Android giants!

Phone Arena09-07-2025
Even before unveiling the Pixel 10 family next month, Google is selling a lot of great Android phones with solid (at the very least) specifications by 2025 standards and excellent prices (especially during events like Amazon Prime Day). You've got the mid-range Pixel 9a for the search giant's most cash-strapped fans, the (slightly) higher-end Pixel 9 available at an almost shockingly hefty $250 discount from its $799 list price, the even more advanced Pixel 9 Pro at $250 under its regular starting price of $999, a cheaper-than-ever (but still pretty expensive) Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and yes, the non-foldable Pixel 9 Pro XL colossus at a fittingly massive discount of its own.
5G, Unlocked, 128GB Storage, 16GB RAM, Android 15, Google Tensor G4 Processor, 6.8-Inch LTPO OLED Display with 2992 x 1344 Pixel Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, 50 + 48 +48MP Triple Rear-Facing Camera System, 42MP Front-Facing Camera, Gemini Integration, 5,060mAh Battery, Hazel Color, Amazon Prime Membership Required Buy at Amazon If you hurry (and have an Amazon Prime membership), the 6.8-inch Google Pixel 9 Pro XL can be yours for a whopping $350 less than its usual price of $1,099 with 128 gigs of internal storage space. Because this is the only variant marked down by 350 bucks, and at the time of this writing, just one "Hazel" colorway appears to be in stock at that hugely reduced price, there's clearly a good chance this particular Prime Day 2025 deal will go away before the sales event's official July 11 end date.
And that's before we get into other state-of-the-art specs and features like a triple rear-facing camera system composed of a primary 50MP snapper and two different 48MP sensors, as well as a 42MP front-facing camera, not to mention the aforementioned 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen equipped with 120Hz refresh rate technology and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. At 221 grams, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is pretty bulky (and it obviously doesn't come with a built-in S Pen like Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra), but if you think you can live with that, this might be the greatest ultra-high-end phone you can buy for Prime Day 2025, at least from a bang-for-buck perspective. And if you hurry. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

Buy at Amazon Receive the latest mobile news By subscribing you agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy Looking for a Samsung tablet that can tackle day-to-day tasks without breaking a sweat and won't tank your bank account? Well, we found a pretty awesome limited-time deal on the affordable Galaxy Tab A9+, which we believe might tickle your now, Amazon is offering a 29% discount on the model with 64GB of storage, letting you score one for just under $156. This means you'll save $64 if you take advantage of this deal, which is not bad at all. Most of the time, the discount hovers around $50, so we believe that every time you can save more is an unmissable course, since it's in the budget segment, it won't wow you with stellar performance. However, its Snapdragon 695 chipset and 4GB of RAM are enough to handle daily tasks like web browsing and video streaming with ease. And don't worry—it also comes with a dedicated slot for a microSD card, so you can expand the storage if the built-in 64GB aren't main reason to pick this one up, though—aside from the sweet discount—is that it delivers a pleasant viewing experience on the cheap. It rocks an 11-inch LCD screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, bundled with four stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. On top of that, it features a 90Hz refresh rate, which is a nice touch given the yeah! If it fits the bill for you, don't hesitate—go ahead and score one for less now!

Apple is considering tandem OLEDs for its 2028 iPhones

According to a recent report from The Elec, Apple is currently evaluating plans to bring tandem OLED displays to the iPhone. The display tech made its debut on the iPad Pro (2024) and brings two OLED panels layered on top of each other. The benefits include higher brightness output and reduced power consumption. Apple is currently evaluating the optimal tandem OLED display for the iPhone, and it apparently prefers a simplified implementation to the one used on the most recent iPad Pros. A simplified tandem OLED would still consist of two panels, with the second OLED layer only including the blue subpixels, while the primary panel houses the red and green ones. LG Display has allegedly contacted Apple about a simplified tandem OLED display last year, and Apple is also in talks with its other key supplier - Samsung Display. Apple usually operates a standard two-year schedule for development and mass production, and the new report suggests the earliest iPhone with a tandem OLED would appear in 2028. While the report does not go into detail about which model of the iPhone would receive the new display tech, it will likely be an exclusive feature for Pro models. Source
