'Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,' they said. 'Anne's light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.'
Burrell was best known for hosting the long-running series 'Worst Cooks in America' on Food Network for 27 seasons, from its inception in 2010 to 2024.
After news of her death broke, a representative from the channel shared with The Post: 'Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent – teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. The source noted Burrell seemed fine when the show ended and that everyone is 'shocked and confused' over her death.
Along with performing at the club, the kitchen guru was out and about around New York City, sharing what would be her last social media post on June 12.
'I ran into [the Green Lady of Brooklyn] in my neighborhood today!' she wrote beneath a picture of her and New Yorker Elizabeth Eaton Rosenthal. 'I'm not going to lie – I have been keeping an eye out for her. I may or may not have followed her down the street for a minut. She is just lovely!!!'
Rosenthal, 84, who is devoted to only wearing the color green, replied to Burrell's Instagram, gushing over their interaction.

'Hi Anne, it was so much fun meeting you, see you again soon in the neighborhood, the only thing I make is coffee and fig preserves from my fig tree, love and hugs,' the Green Lady of Brooklyn wrote alongside green heart emojis.
'I would like to invite you to my garden and pick figs when they are ready, usually beginning to ripen beginning September, and come and visit the garden on a sunny day anyway.'
Following then news of Burrell's passing, Rosenthal took to the late star's page, writing: 'Hi Anne, you are such a lovely person just to meet and not knowing you, I just love you and so sorry but come to my garden and visit with all your beauty and love and I will be waiting for you.'

Prior to her death, Burrell tied the knot with Stuart Claxton in October 2021 after meeting on Bumble in 2018. Fellow celebrity cook Rachael Ray was a bridesmaid at their fall wedding.
In 2020, Burrell gushed over meeting The One.
'I don't know if we had both thought of marriage, but we both were like, 'Oh, yeah, this is something,' ' she told People at the time. 'This is really going to be real and this is going to turn into something.' '

'Once you get to be a woman of 50 years old, you don't really think that marriage is going to be on the plate for you,' she continued. 'I was always really focused on my career and marriage was never a huge thing in my life that I was looking for. Then when I met Stuart, my opinion about all that changed.'
The celebrity chef is survived by Claxton, his son, Javier, her mother, Marlene, her sister, Jane, and her brother, Ben.

Jessa Duggar waited a week before naming her newborn son. Here's what she chose

The Duggar family tree has grown by one — and now we know the name of the newborn baby. Jessa Duggar, the fifth child and third daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of '19 Kids and Counting,' welcomed her sixth child with husband Ben Seewald on July 26, per her Instagram. The reality star turned influencer has since been telling her birth story in a series of YouTube videos. In the third installment of the series, published Aug. 8, Jessa Duggar joked that they should name the newborn baby boy 'Pork Chop' because he weighed 10 pounds, 1 ounce at birth. 'But since that's not on the name list, what else?' she said in the video. As Duggar and Seewald were sitting in the hospital, they were trying to decide between Owen, Edward and Calvin for the first name and Patrick and Athanasius for the middle name. On Aug. 11, Jessa Duggar released the fourth installment of the series and revealed that two of the first names made the cut — but neither of the middle names did. The name they chose? Edward Owen Seewald. 'We liked the sound of Edward from pretty early on in this pregnancy,' Seewald said toward the end of the video. The name was also a big hit with the couple's other kids. 'We always like historical names, too, so there's some historical significance with Edward,' he added while name-dropping preacher and philosopher Jonathan Edwards and King Edward VI of England. According to Behind the Name, Edward is an Old English name that means 'rich guard' via the elements 'ead,' meaning 'wealth,' and 'weard,' meaning 'guard.' Other historical baby names for boys include Henry, William, Charles, George, Richard, Thomas, James, Robert and Francis. As for Owen, Seewald said he was drawn to the name because of John Owen, one of his 'favorite theologians.' Owen either means 'well born' in Welsh or 'yew tree' in Irish, per Behind the Name. Both names were included in the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 most popular boy names of 2024 with Owen ranking 26th and Edward ranking 228th. The couple are also parents to sons Spurgeon, 9; Henry, 8; and George, 19 months, and daughters Ivy, 6, and Fern, 4, according to People. While they have since settled on a name for baby No. 6, Duggar and Seewald said that it took them nearly a week to come to an agreement. At the beginning of their Aug. 11 video, the couple are in the hospital when Duggar asks her husband if they've settled on a name. 'We've been trying,' he responded. 'But Jess is on the pills and her mind is foggy. She's a little nervous to pick a name when she's not thinking as clearly as she could.' By the time they were ready to pack up and leave the hospital, their baby was still without a name. 'They told us we have nine days from birth to let them know,' Duggar said. 'Hopefully it doesn't take that long,' Seewald added. In the car ride back home, Duggar said leaving the hospital without a name gives them an opportunity to try out each of the names on their list for a day or so to see how it fits. 'Sometimes you've just got to see their face and maybe even test some names out for a few days,' Seewald said. 'But we finally made up our mind.' According to Jessa Duggar, kids Spurgeon, Henry, George, Ivy and Fern were on board with the name. 'The kids are very excited. They were rooting for Edward,' Duggar said.

The Mötley Crüe frontman, 64, who underwent a medical procedure earlier this year, has gone viral for his lackluster performance in Bethel, New York, last week. 'He even looks like he doesn't want to be there,' one fan wrote in the comments section of an Instagram video of Neil's performance. 'My god. He's reading the words from the stage,' another fan said. 13 Vince Neil returns to performing after undergoing a medical procedure. The Post has reached out to Neil's rep for comment. I haven't been on stage since almost a year now. I had a medical thing that happened to me, and they said I wouldn't be back on stage again.' 'I said, 'F–k that, man,'' Neil added. 'And I'm back, and I'm with you guys tonight. And I'm really proud to be here, man. Thank you so much.' Mötley Crüe — which is currently made up of Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and John 5 — delayed their Las Vegas residency earlier this year and canceled their show at the Boardwalk Rock Festival in April due to the frontman's health. The band also didn't perform at the late Ozzy Osbourne's farewell show in July because of 'health issues.'

Woman Waits 25 Years to Open Wedding Gift from Maid of Honor. What She Found Left Her Speechless (Exclusive)

Carri Anne tells PEOPLE she resisted the urge to peek for decades, finally opening the box on her 25th wedding anniversary NEED TO KNOW Carri Anne received a wedding shower gift from her maid of honor in 2000 with instructions not to open it until July 29, 2025 The sealed box traveled with her for 25 years through multiple moves, including overseas As the milestone approached, her kids encouraged her to film the moment for TikTok For 25 years, a small box sat untouched on a closet shelf, traveling from city to city and even across oceans, waiting for one specific date. Sealed with medical tape and marked with a handwritten label reading 'Do Not Open Until July 29, 2025,' it moved with Carri Anne through every chapter of her adult life. 'I've known about it for 25 years and I've stared at it for a long time,' Carri Anne tells PEOPLE. The gift, from her maid of honor at one of her wedding showers in 2000, came with strict instructions not to open it until her 25th wedding anniversary. Every time her family relocated for her husband's military career, she unpacked it with her household goods and placed it on the shelf in her closet. 'July 29th is my anniversary,' she says, the date ingrained in her mind long before the day arrived. She admits she had been tempted to peek over the years but resisted. 'It was a special gift, a thoughtful gift,' she says, remembering the box's whimsical year-2000 design. When her daughter reminded her that the anniversary was just weeks away, she decided it was finally time. But before opening it, she brought the story to TikTok — at her kids' urging. 'They're the ones who encouraged me to go on TikTok,' she says. 'I'm brand new to TikTok.' Carri Anne says she was nervous to cut through the tape. 'I was very nervous,' she shares. 'I was really nervous until I put it on TikTok and it went viral, and then I got nervous.' She had no idea what was inside. 'My girlfriend was just… she's a ham,' she says, explaining she expected a gag gift or maybe old photos from high school. Inside, she found a handful of index cards. The moment she began reading them, something unexpected happened. 'At first I thought it was her handwriting,' Carri Anne says. 'And then I started to realize that it was other people's contributions when the penmanship changed.' As she kept reading, a familiar script stopped her. 'I recognized that my sister had her note that she had posted, and then I recognized my mom's handwriting,' she says. 'And so it was just this whole thing.' Her mother passed away eight years ago, making the discovery deeply personal. 'It was really a very special moment,' she notes. Carri Anne says she is almost certain the shower where the box was created took place at her mother's house. 'I'm remembering us being out on the back deck and wondering where she had this little box hidden,' she says. Her mother, she adds, was 'a really thoughtful person,' making the gift even more meaningful. 'She would have eaten this up,' Carri Anne says. 'She would've thought this was the coolest thing.' Inside the cards were snapshots of the year 2000, written in real time by friends and family. 'Some of the cards were like, oh, Monica Lewinsky… did Hillary dump Bill?' she says, laughing at the political gossip preserved in ink. There were also nods to her Wisconsin roots. 'I loved that some of the people were talking about what was going on in the Packers at the time and the local sports teams,' she says. Fashion was another favorite theme. Capri pants, flared jeans, and the return of '70s styles were all recorded. 'I should have kept my clothing,' she says with a laugh. 'And then a lot of people talked about the millennium, we all thought the world was going to end, the computers were going to stop.' The experience has inspired a new family tradition. 'My husband and kids were like, why don't we take the same box and we'll cross out 2025 and put 2050,' she says. Her hope is to open it on their 50th wedding anniversary — 'God willing, we are there,' she adds. And maybe, she says, her kids will keep the idea going. 'They've been pretty enamored with this whole story as well,' she says. 'They could also carry that tradition on.' Online, the response has been overwhelming. 'Mostly the comments that have touched me the most are how special it was to have handwriting from loved ones who have passed,' Carri Anne shares. Many viewers admitted they were moved to tears by the idea of holding something handwritten by someone they miss. 'Once they realized what was in it, a lot of them said they got teary,' she says. Some messages came from unexpected places, including overseas. 'My brother's student in Indonesia saw the video,' she says. 'That is just mind-blowing to me.' Her maid of honor, who gave the gift, remains one of her closest friends. 'We met in seventh-grade math class,' Carri Anne says. 'Her and I were just glued at the hip all throughout high school.' They've supported each other through decades of life changes. 'She was always a really thoughtful friend, and she always gave you personalized gifts,' Carri Anne says. Today, her friend is a nurse anesthetist. 'She's a pretty inspiring woman,' Carri Anne says proudly. The box itself has seen nearly as much of the world as Carri Anne's family. 'It's been in two countries… Europe and the Caribbean, and then it was in D.C., California, Virginia, and Chicago,' she says. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Each move reinforced the value she placed on keeping it safe. 'That's kind of fun to think about — that it's traveled as much as we have,' she says. The experience has also changed the way she thinks about time. 'Moments are so precious in life, and you just don't know what's going to happen the next moment,' she opens up. Carri Anne admits she's always been sentimental, but this reminded her how quickly life changes. 'Time changes really fast, so we've got to just hold on to each day,' she says. She also often thinks about her mother and her cousin Lana, who recently passed away. 'That was something that I just wanted to mention, too,' she says softly. Looking back, she feels the box was never just about the year 2000. It was also about the people who filled her life — and the way their handwriting still brings them close. 'My mom would've totally remembered everything she put in there,' she says with a smile. Now, the box is sealed again, waiting for its next big moment. And for Carri Anne, that's the perfect reminder of how much small moments matter. 'It just makes you realize how special it is to hold them in your hands, all these years later,' she says.
