Caitlin Clark and Flau'jae Johnson may have battled on the court as fierce rivals, but off the hardwood, their mutual respect runs deep — and apparently, even into the studio.
Clark, an Iowa Hawkeyes legend now starring for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, was recently asked about getting name-dropped in one of Flau'jae's latest tracks and whether she'd consider joining the LSU Tigers guard-turned-rapper for a song.

Clark's reply was candid, appreciative and entirely on-brand.
'No. I would never. I would leave that to her,' Clark responded with a smile. 'She's incredible, but it was awesome. Her music is really great. She's so talented, and I've honestly been a really big fan of hers since we played them at LSU.'

The shout-out in question? A line from Flau'jae's teaser track where she rapped: 'Double C's on my jacket like I'm Caitlin Clark.' She tagged Clark when posting the preview, and Clark immediately took notice — replying on her Instagram story with a one-word reaction: 'Elite,' alongside fire emojis.

In the recent interview, Clark revealed she actually knew it was coming. 'She told me a while back, actually, that she was putting me in a song. So I've kind of been waiting for it. … She really was actually putting me in a song.'
Despite Clark's clear respect and admiration for Flau'jae's music, she has no plans to trade in her sneakers for a mic. 'Her music is really good,' Clark said, adding that even her friends and family texted her excitedly after the track dropped.

LSU is in the thick of a postseason run, but that didn't stop Jay Johnson from going to work in the transfer portal. Multiple sources confirmed that LSU baseball added Brayden Simpson to its 2026 roster. The infielder from High Point batted .389 with a .477 on-base percentage, 77 RBI, and 22 home runs. Simpson started every game in 2025, primarily at third base for the Panthers, who finished 39-19 overall and made it to the Big South Conference tournament championship. "We were engaged together, got married within a few months of each other, and then she got pregnant. And it wasn't time for Josh and I to even start trying months later, she's holding her son, and it's finally time for us to be in the same season again." Speaking further about her journey, Walz said she and her husband had waited for years to have a positive pregnancy test—but not because of fertility issues. The couple got married at 19 and "knew it wasn't wise to have babies yet, as much as [they] wanted them." The bond between Walz and her best friend, Liv, has been strong for years. The two met at nursing school, and they are now emergency room and intensive care unit nurses at the same hospital—but timing differences in life milestones meant they weren't walking in lockstep anymore. "Our seasons separated when she got pregnant in May 2024 with her son," Walz said. "I was the first person she told after her husband. I was so excited, but really struggled with grief surrounding it not being time for my husband and I to start trying yet. Liv and I always wanted to have babies at the same time, and we realized that wasn't going to happen." Despite the bittersweet feelings, Walz and her husband waited for the right time. Finally, in March of 2025, they got pregnant. 'The Honor of My Life' Once she received the news, Walz knew she couldn't wait to tell her best friend that their shared dream was finally happening. "Liv was the only one who knew I was a day late for my period. I knew that when I tested, if I didn't immediately drive to her, it would never be a surprise," she said. "So, we drove immediately to her home and told her 45 minutes after I found out myself. I think that video shows the relief between both of us that it was finally time to be in the same season." Walz also expressed gratitude for Liv's support during her waiting period, saying she has been "gracious" while celebrating her own pregnancy while holding Walz's grief in waiting. "Grieving my wait for motherhood, despite being the one still choosing to use contraception was bizarre," Walz admitted. "The sacrifice of waiting was for this baby and their future, but it didn't change how bad I still wanted this time to come sooner." Now, the friends' shared dream of motherhood alongside each other is coming true—and they couldn't be more excited. "We get to raise our babies side by side," Walz concluded. "I was in her delivery suite, and she'll be in mine. It's the honor of my life to love and be loved so well."
