Police officials confirmed that unidentified assailants fired multiple rounds outside his residence in Sector 57. Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, shared details of the attack and said, 'Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram's Sector 57. The incident took place at around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing." Elvish's father, Ram Avtar Yadav, also confirmed the incident to ANI and shared, 'We heard a sound around 5.30 in the morning. When we came outside and looked, we saw that bullets had been fired here. Then we immediately checked the CCTV. We found that there were two people involved for sure, and probably a third one too. Cybercrime police bust Rs 2 crore trading fraud
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police have arrested a man from Gurgaon, Haryana, in connection with a trading fraud case. The accused was involved in 12 cases across India, including three in Telangana. The cybercrime unit has so far arrested seven people in this case. Police arrested Vineet Chadha (58), an account holder in whose IDFC Bank account an amount of Rs 40 lakh was credited. In this case, six people from Gujarat were already arrested, including ViradyaMohitbhaiGhanshyambhai on July 2; BullanKarpatu Yadav and Rohan JagadeshbhaiLimbachiya on July 4; and KureshiShafinbhaiYunusbhai, Mer Kishan Kanubai and Mer Manish Bharatbhai on July 8. According to police, a 62-year-old male victim from Hyderabad came across an advertisement on Facebook for a trading platform hosted on the website Following instructions provided via WhatsApp, he downloaded the application and invested money. Initially, he invested large amounts into different bank accounts provided in the application, and the platform showed him daily profits. Over time, he deposited a total of Rs 2,02,70,931 into the platform and actively engaged in trading. However, when he attempted to withdraw his funds, he was informed that he needed to pay an additional amount labelled as 'taxes' before any withdrawal could be processed. The scammers continued to message him, persistently urging him to deposit more funds. The victim eventually realised he had been misled by false promises of high trading returns and was a victim of an online financial scam. Cyber Crime officials urged citizens to be cautious of online stock trading and investment frauds, which promise huge returns in a short term. They advised people to properly verify such offers before sharing any financial or personal details. Scammers typically approach victims through various social media platforms, including Telegram, WhatsApp, X, Instagram, and Facebook, by advertising fake investment apps and websites. Pak-linked drug syndicate busted in Chandigarh, 6 held with Rs 1.25cr worth narcotics
Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough, the UT crime branch has dismantled an interstate drug syndicate with alleged links to Pakistan, arresting six accused and seizing narcotics worth Rs 1.25 crore. The operation revealed a cross-border network that used drones to smuggle drugs into India. The accused include Pooja, daughter of notorious peddler Bala, and two others from Chandigarh — Sameer and Muhammad Juned. Three more — Nihal Singh, Sahibjeet Singh alias Shabu, and Amritpal Singh alias Gopi — hail from Amritsar. Police recovered 654g heroin, 112g cocaine, and a scooter used in the operation. The bust began with Pooja's arrest, leading to a domino effect. She confessed to sourcing heroin from Sameer, who in turn named Juned. The trail led investigators to Amritsar, where the remaining trio was nabbed. All six were reportedly in contact with Pakistan-based handler Jubir Rana, who allegedly used drones to drop consignments across the border. Amritpal, described as the kingpin, was already facing three NDPS cases. Police recovered 536g heroin from him and confirmed his communication with Jubir Rana via Instagram and WhatsApp. Another suspect, Yugraj from Amritsar, was recently arrested by the BSF with 560g heroin. He too was in touch with Jubir, strengthening the cross-border link. All accused were produced in court and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
