Sabrina Carpenter says Emails I Can't Send was a "gateway to many special moments".
The 26-year-old singer released her fifth studio album - which included singles Skinny Dipping, Fast Times, Vicious, Because I Liked A Boy and Nonsense - on July 15, 2022 and she has reflected on the impact of the record three years since it dropped.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: "3 years of my dear emails.
'This album means so much to me and was the gateway to many special moments I couldn't see ahead.
'I will never take this chapter for granted and what it taught me and how much closer it brought me to each and every one of you.
'Thanks to those of you who sing along. I love you forever!'
When Emails I Can't Send was released, it gave Sabrina what was then her highest ever Billboard 200 chart position at number 23.
At the time, she wrote on Instagram: 'I kind of had to unlearn myself and learn myself again in order to make this album.
"It's the one i'm most proud of thus far in my life.
"It's the one I hope you listen to and feel like we were hanging and confiding in each other for an hour.'
She toured the album, which included opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, and then followed up with 2024 album Short n' Sweet, which featured hit singles like Espresso, Please Please Please, Bed Chem and Juno.
The record topped the charts, and earned the pop star her first ever Grammy Awards.
She's set to release her seventh studio LP, Man's Best Friend, next month.
Sabrina shocked fans with the artwork, which shows her on all fours in front of a man pulling her hair.
The album will include the lead single, Manchild, which upon its release, Sabrina thanked "men for testing me".
She added on Instagram: "i wrote manchild on a random tuesday with amy and jack not too long after finishing short n' sweet and it ended up being the best random tuesday of my life
"not only was it so fun to write, but this song became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life.
"it sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never ending road trip in the summer !
"hence why i wanted to give it to you now- so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long! (sic)"

K-pop's hottest bands HUNTR/X and Saja Boys are climbing global charts but neither of them even exist

Despite real-life K-pop groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, NewJeans and Stray Kids contributing to the genre's US$10 billion global footprint, the biggest act in K-pop right now isn't even real. Two animated pop groups, HUNTR/X and Saja Boys, have stormed the US Billboard charts over the past fortnight, notching a combined six Billboard Hot 100 entries and a top 40 hit each. If you haven't heard of them, it's probably because they didn't exist until a few weeks ago. Both are fictional acts created by the team behind the hit animated Netflix musical KPop Demon Hunters. The two acts are also dominating streaming charts thanks to staggering monthly listener numbers: HUNTR/X has amassed 13.9 million listeners, while Saja Boys trails close behind with 11.4 million. Saja Boys tracks Your Idol and Soda Pop are sitting at No.4 and No.8 on Spotify's Daily Top 50 – Global, and reached No.15 and No.17 on Apple Music's Top 100: Global. On Spotify's US Daily Top Songs chart, Your Idol holds the No.1 spot — making Saja Boys the highest-charting male K-pop group in US Spotify history, surpassing BTS. Meanwhile, HUNTR/X's Golden is No.2 in both the US and globally on Spotify, and No.4 on Apple Music. Sitting on global charts alongside real-life acts like Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter and Bruno Mars, Golden saw a 2000 per cent spike in streams after the film's June 20 release and was issued as an official single by Republic Records. The track has also been submitted for consideration in the Best Original Song category at the 2026 Oscars by Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation. To meet the Academy's strict eligibility rules, the film had a limited theatrical run from June 20 to 26 in three major US cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York), to coincide with its Netflix streaming release. This strategic approach qualifies the song despite the film's streaming-first model; a method Netflix has increasingly mastered, with recent Best Animated Feature Film nominations including Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and Nimona. KPop Demon Hunters is the first musical since Disney's Encanto to make such a broad impact on the US charts. Its soundtrack debuted at No.8 on the Billboard 200, the strongest film soundtrack debut of the year, and far surpassing Encanto's debut at No.197 in 2021. But Netflix has a long way to go if it hopes to out-perform Encanto, which dominated the Billboard charts in 2022 thanks to songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. We Don't Talk About Bruno hit No.1 on the Hot 100, the soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 (ousting Adele's 30), and all eight original songs entered the Hot 100 – with multiple tracks reaching the top 10. While Golden was co-written by Korean-American songwriter EJAE – known for her work with Red Velvet and TWICE – and musical theatre composer Mark Sonnenblick, the success of HUNTR/X and Saja Boys shows how virtual idols are now competing with, and sometimes surpassing, real-life artists on the global stage. Last week reported on the rise of AI band The Velvet Sundown. The '70s-inspired psych-rock band has more than 858,000 monthly Spotify listeners and is being recommended in algorithmic playlists like Discover Weekly.

Oasis eye return to No.1

Oasis are eyeing a return to the top of the Official Albums Chart, as their greatest hits collection Time Flies… 1994–2009 surges up the rankings following the launch of their long-awaited reunion tour. The Britpop legends opened the Oasis Live '25 Tour with a sold-out show in Cardiff last Friday night (05.07.25), and interest in their back catalogue couldn't be bigger. The singles compilation – first released in 2010 – is now on track to return to Number 1 for the first time since its debut week. What's more, the band's seminal second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? – originally released in 1995 – is climbing fast, set to leap 11 places to Number 3. Their 1994 debut Definitely Maybe isn't far behind either, is looking at a 22-place surge to land at Number 4. But Oasis face stiff competition for the top spot. Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter is just under 1,000 chart units behind Time Flies…, with her breakout album Short n' Sweet holding strong at Number 2 in the midweek update. Her recent performances at London's Hyde Park – part of the BST concert series – have helped propel the record back up the charts. With final positions confirmed on Friday, a chart showdown is looming between the Britpop icons and Gen Z's rising pop queen. Meanwhile, a new study has claimed Oasis earned a whopping £7 million from Spotify streams of Wonderwall alone. Casino comparison and analysis site La Planque Du Joueur conducted research and found that Wonderwall has earned £7,057,223 in streaming revenue, as of July 8, 2025. They used the average payout of $0.004 per stream to come to this conclusion, and Wonderwall has been streamed 2.3 billion times. Don't Look Back in Anger is the second highest earner with over 1.1 billion streams, generating £3,247,265 in revenue. Champagne Supernova and Stop Crying Your Heart Out are said to have earned them £1,449,431 and £1,378,028, respectively. The Top 10 songs - also including Married With Children, Live Forever, Stand By Me, She's Electric, Supersonic, and Slide Away - gave them a total of £16.8 million. Jean Morlec from La Planque Du Joueur commented: "These figures show that Oasis' music remains incredibly popular on streaming platforms, with Wonderwall standing out as one of the most streamed songs of its era. The band's top songs continue to generate substantial revenue more than 30 years after they were first released." "With the current reunion tour driving renewed interest in their music, we can expect these streaming numbers to climb even higher. Their back catalogue has become a valuable asset that continues to generate millions in revenue year after year."
