What was once a straight-forward day of revealing when and where teams will be playing each week has turned into a 32-team battle royale to go viral on social media, with production values increasing every year. The competition is fierce.
Wednesday's schedule release day was no different, though some teams tried harder than others. Some teams released television parodies longer than five minutes. Some just let their players have fun. The Cincinnati Bengals pretended like they were too cool for any of it.
Here are this year's standouts:

The Chargers go full bore with animation and hatred every year. They did anime in 2022 and 2023. They did "The Sims" in 2024. This year, it was "Minecraft," with the expressed-written consent of publisher Microsoft.

But here's where it gets awkward. The Indianapolis Colts did the exact same thing. Then deleted it, as best as they could. We'll leave you to decide who wore it better.

At this point, we might as well call schedule releases using animation or video-game tech "Chargers-like."
Whereas the Chargers and Colts both did Minecraft, the Atlanta Falcons did a version of "Mario Kart" we're certainly hoping is legally distinct enough for Nintendo's lawyers' liking.

Brenda Song of "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" fame (plus several more television shows, including this year's "Running Point") went viral a couple of months ago with her critiques of the Rams coaching staff. So they brought her in for a local-news style segment to roast their schedule.
For the New Orleans Saints, it was, "There's finally been a ruling over the controversial no-call in the 2018 Rams NFC championship game. By me. It's been seven years, grow up."

As if to prove Song's point, the Saints did a play on the anger translator from "Key & Peele" and had their guy yell, "The ball was 10 yards away before they even tackled the guy. It was blatant!"
There's always a topical one on schedule release day, and the Bills came through with one of the funniest videos of the competition. We're not going to spoil what happens, just watch.

As for other television parodies, the Baltimore Ravens win the highest-effort award for a seven-minute "Severance" parody that seemed to feature half the organization. You can decide if it was time well spent.

The Las Vegas Raiders did their own seven-minute television parody with a "This is SportsCenter" mockumentary. With Tom Brady now owning part of the team, whoever was in charge of this got in some grade-A sycophancy by nodding to the New England Patriots with a literal goat.

In the middle of a Super Bowl window, the limitations of the cap and meager draft capital ensured they wouldn't show up on lists of the spring's winners. The offseason, thus, was meant to reinforce those Super Bowl aspirations by filling minor holes with smaller moves. One such acquisition was receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Coming off the worst year of his career, expectations for the veteran receiver are low. That leaves plenty of room for Hopkins to impress in Baltimore. At organized team activities (OTAs), Ravens head coach John Harbaugh revealed his first impression of Hopkins. "First of all, I think he's a heck of a football player," John Harbaugh said, via the team's website. "Obviously, you saw him today. He's a gifted guy. He's a talented guy. He's going to be a big-body, contested-catch receiver for us, certainly. Advertisement "He's moving great. Plus, he brings all that experience. He's been in big games before. He's made plays in the big games. He knows how to make plays. There's not going to be any situation that's going to be too big for him, but I just thought he and Lamar [Jackson] looked really good today out there together. It was nice to see." Hopkins projects to be a complementary piece of the passing offense, particularly in the red zone. If he can earn Jackson's trust, playing an outsized role remains possible, too. However, Hopkins is entering his age-33 season. He posted just 610 yards across 16 games, 10 of which came with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and didn't leave much of a mark in the playoffs. Hopkins, as the third receiver in an offense with several non-perimeter targets, isn't positioned to bounce back in the box score. But if he can win on third downs and insulate the passing offense, there's room for him to write a successful chapter in Baltimore. Advertisement "[DeAndre Hopkins] looks great," said tight end Mark Andrews. "He looks really, really good. He's been making some big plays, and I think he's going to be great for our offense, just being versatile, having a guy that catches the ball extremely well, runs really fluid routes and knows the game well. And he looks like, when he's out here, he's flying around. He's looked really good." Hopkins' Pro Bowl days are behind him, but if he's healthy, there's a role for him in a successful Ravens offense. No team ran the ball better week to week than the Baltimore Ravens did last season. A staggering 187.6 yards per game represented a brutalizing ground presence that bullied opposing defenses and made them a tough out in the postseason. Baltimore boasts the resources to get the job done with the duo of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry set to lead the way again. Focusing on Henry, his brilliance produced 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns on 5.9 yards per carry last season. At the level which he performs, Henry does not appear to be one that needs help handling his share of the load. But could the Ravens seek it out anyway? All talent acquisition periods of the offseason are long gone, but former Baltimore running back J.K. Dobbins remains a free agent. SportsCasting's Gia Nguyen offered up a potential Ravens reunion with Dobbins who spent his first three seasons with the team. Advertisement "Another interesting destination would be a second stint in Baltimore with the Ravens, where he started his NFL career. Dobbins could provide some insurance for an aging Derrick Henry, while giving the Ravens a formidable 1-2 punch in the backfield." Henry and Justice Hill have essentially formed that "1-2 punch" since Dobbins' departure. Henry has done an admirable job of producing on the reps given to him, but there is an argument for lessening the burden on an aging veteran. Dobbins posted 905 yards and nine touchdowns for the Los Angeles Chargers last season, so there is recent enough evidence to argue in favor of a reunion. The Ravens could add some backfield muscle and Henry insurance at a very low cost. As of now, there is no traction on the Ravens making any changes to the structure of their backfield, but it would not be much of a surprise for Baltimore to install a "just in case" piece sometime this summer. The Baltimore Ravens have one of the NFL's best rosters, headlined by quarterback Lamar Jackson and supported by a host of stars. But the Ravens didn't necessarily gain ground on the competitors this spring, as a result of limited cap space and draft capital. Advertisement There is talent across this roster, but one of the units trending most toward league average is the offensive line. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley is a stalwart and center Tyler Linderbaum will soon be extended, but the rest of the group isn't quite as proficient. With the margins so thin, every question mark will be under scrutiny until proven otherwise. For Baltimore, that starts on the interior, where left guard Andrew Vorhees is expected to start. A developmental seventh-round pick, Vorhees may be the ripe fruit of the coaching staff's labor. Still, the uncertainty in his projection threatens the offense. Fortunately, the Ravens' depth could solve the offense's biggest problem. Baltimore is well aware that starting Vorhees is a risk. He's a Day 3 lineman with limited play and even fewer flashes. His best work came late in the year against two teams in free fall. The staff certainly believes in his improvement, given that he's the favorite to start. Yet, the team made several moves that should insulate the line and ensure Vorhees doesn't wreck the season by underperforming. Advertisement One of the Ravens' under-the-radar signings was former Los Angeles Rams lineman Joe Noteboom. Signed to be a swing tackle, Noteboom can make an impact as a sixth lineman or step in should Stanley or Roger Rosengarten go down. But he also has legitimate experience at both left and right guard. In 2019 and 2020, he combined to play nearly a season's worth of snaps at left guard. In 2023, he played 170 snaps at right guard (Pro Football Focus). Further, Baltimore also drafted tackle Emery Jones Jr. in Round 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Jones might have starter potential at right tackle, and has the luxury of having a big enough frame to stick there without the urge to kick inside. What could put him at guard is a skill set that is far more favorable as a run blocker and a blend of athletic traits that make him dangerous moving horizontally. If Vorhees struggles, it remains possible that Noteboom or Jones steps in, and one could argue both have greater upside. Seventh-round guard Garrett Dellinger and his elite athleticism could make some noise, too. Vorhees has earned the right to start in Week 1, but he didn't do enough to push Baltimore away from contingency plans. The Ravens have several, and it could be the difference in the offensive line meeting expectations in 2025.
