Ex-Celtic star tells club to make move for Odsonne Edouard
The former Celtic striker, now at Crystal Palace, has a year left on his contract but is currently out of the first-team picture.
Since his £15 million move four years ago, Edouard has netted only 21 goals—a stark contrast to his prolific days at Parkhead.
A return to Celtic could help the 27-year-old revitalise his career, similar to Kieran Tierney and Jota who made successful returns.
Allan, who played alongside Edouard during his time at Celtic, thinks the club should aim to bring him back.

He said on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard: "I would (take him back), yeah.
"Fantastic player.
"It's obviously a position that Celtic will be looking to add to."
Allan added that with Daizen Maeda potentially moving back to the wide positions, there could be a spot for Edouard.
He said: "I think we might see Daizen Maeda go back out to that wide area, where he was so effective in terms of his pressing and getting up and down the pitch.
"He'll be looking to add to his goal tally come next season.
"I think there's no question that it's an area of the park where Celtic need to strengthen."
Edouard's return could provide the boost Celtic need to remain competitive in the upcoming season.

Shelbourne and Linfield paired in mouthwatering Champions League cross-border qualifier
It's an all-Irish derby in the first round of Champions League qualifying between Damien Duff and David Healy's teams Shelbourne and Linfield are set to clash in an historic Champions League qualifier that pits two Irish sides against each other. And in an intriguing sub-plot, it will be former Celtic coach Damien Duff against ex- Rangers midfielder David Healy in the dugouts. Duff led Shelbourne to an upset league title last season and they entered today's first qualifying round draw knowing there was a chance of an all-Irish derby against Linfield, the longstanding dominant force in Northern Irish football. And so it's proved with the sides set to meet first in Dublin on Tuesday July 8 or Wednesday July 9 with the second leg at Windsor Park a week later. It will be the second cross-border clash in a year with Shamrock facing Larne in the Conference League in October. But the stakes are higher this time with the champions from both divisions facing in a qualifier for UEFA's top competition. Linfield stormed to the Irish Premiership title last season as is the norm while Shelbourne upset the odds when they won the League of Ireland Premier Division under the tutelage of Duff, who previously served as a coach at Celtic Park. The tie has huge financial implications for the team with the winner guaranteed at least two more Champions League qualifying matches – one of which at home. It comes 20 years after the teams met in the inaugural all-Ireland Setanta Cup final, with Linfield triumphant at Tolka Park. Evan Ferguson to Celtic transfer rules set by ally as Inamura breaks cover and mega O'Riley payday endorsed
A busy summer is ramping up at Celtic Park with Champions League qualifiers around the corner Struggling Evan Ferguson will demand regular football guaranteed by his next club amid swirls over a move to Celtic. That is the view of Richard Dunne - who is friend's with the Brighton striker's dad - after he struggled to make an impact on loan at West Ham in the second half of last season. The Ireland international made just three appearances for the Hammers without scoring. The prospect netted just one Premier League goal last season and could be shipped out of the AMEX Stadium once again by Fabian Hurzeler. Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a new striker this summer with the club still looking to replace Kyogo and provide competition for Adam Idah going into the new season. Oddsmakers make the Scottish Premiership champions the favourites to snap up Ferguson - and insider Dunne has named exactly what the Hoops will have to offer the frontman to seal a move. Dunne told William Hill Vegas: 'Sometimes in football, you just have moves that don't work out or moments that don't work out. "I remember when I started off at Everton, I played 10 or 11 games, thought I had done really well, came back the next season and never played a game. 'You have ups and downs throughout your career and it's just about how you react. "I'm sure Evan will be desperate to get playing next year. He's also a player who can turn back up in pre-season. "He can score 10 goals in pre-season and become a number nine because he's a very, very good footballer. "He just needs a run of games, a bit of confidence and a couple of goals. 'There'll be a hundred options for Evan in the summer and it's just sort of making sure he gets the one which is focused on him playing week in, week out.' One player who looks set to make the switch to Celtic this summer is defender Hayato Inamura. The 23-year-old, currently at Albirex Niigata, is left-sided and can play both at centre-back and left-back. And amid heavy speculation that the Hoops could dip into the Japanese market again, Inamura has opened up on his hopes for the future. He told Nikkan Sports: "I have high expectations of myself. I'm the type of person who is never satisfied. "I feel like my soccer career is finally beginning. In order to go even bigger from here, I need to work harder than ever and have even higher aspirations. "In the near future, there will be the World Cup. I definitely want to make the Japanese national team there and wanting to play overseas." Big moves could be funded by sell-on paydays – with Jeremie Frimpong's move to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen already boosting the Parkhead coffers this summer. Matt O'Riley is also on the cards after Danish international has hinted he is not completely happy at Brighton. Celtic would be entitled to a chunk of change should an exit from the Seagulls materialise - and legendary manager Fabio Capello has urged Atalanta to revive their interest in the 24-year-old from last summer. Writing for Gazzetta Dello Sport, he reckons O'Riley could be the perfect replacement for 34-year-old Marten De Roon just a year on from his £25million exit from the Premiership. "We need a serious alternative to De Roon in midfield, and for me the answer is called Matt O'Riley. 'Already linked to La Dea last year, then arriving at Brighton, he would be perfect for Juric. Quality and determination to spare, a natural leader .'
