Erling Haaland issued with transfer plea after Man City star's holiday comments
Erling Haaland has been inundated with messages from Roma fans after the Manchester City star was spotted on holiday the Italian capital. Haaland, who turns 25 on Monday, was pictured walking around Rome with his girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen, the mother of the striker's first child.
Haaland and City team-mates aren't having a regular pre-season like the 18 other Premier League sides due to their participation in the recent Club World Cup alongside winners Chelsea. But the Norwegian wasn't just in Italy to see the sights.
During his and Johansen's trip, they attend a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show. After the event, Haaland shared a post to his 37.9 million followers on Instagram raving about Rome's beauty.
"Rome is without doubt one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to!" the 24-year-old wrote. "And the food? Omg. Incredible. I'm enjoying the summer! Thanks D&G and the city of Rome for making the time here smooth. I love Italy!"
Of course, Roma's passionate supporters took the opportunity to try and urge Haaland to come back on a permanent basis - however unlikely given that he recently signed an extraordinary nine-a-half-year contract extension with City.
"If you love Rome so much, come," one supporter pleaded. A second followed up by urging: "Come to Rome, come to Serie A in the end it's not that bad!!!"
Another suggested: "Erling next to [Artem] Dovbyk would be a great offensive partnership."
But it wasn't just Roma fans who were trying their luck. "What if you come to Naples?! Ask KDB," a Napoli supporter wrote, hoping to see Haaland reunite with Kevin De Bruyne.

A move to Italy down the line is a possibility, though, especially after his dad's comments. Alf-Inge, the former City midfielder, suggested in 2022 that his son wants to play in all of the top leagues in Europe, having already conquered England and Germany.
He told France Football: "Erling could stay at City for 15 years because he is very happy and we are talking about a huge club. But my impression is that he wants to demonstrate that he can win at any of the big leagues.
"He was in Germany for two-and-a-half years and he could do something like that in his future. Staying in the Premier League for three years and then going to Italy, Spain or France. There's nothing firm about it, but it's a possibility because Erling is capable of being a winner in any team."

Antony Cotton pays tribute after 'much-loved' Corrie colleague dies aged 38
Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has paid tribute to a 'much-loved' colleague following his death. Matthew Owens worked behind the scenes on several stunt blocks for the ITV soap as a fire safety advisor, where he and Antony met in 2013. The Sean Tully actor took to Instagram to share a picture of the order of service from the funeral, alongside an emotional caption. 'Today was a very hard day for so many people, especially Matt's family,' he wrote. 'I still can't quite get my head round it, to be honest. Matt was just a really, really nice lad. 'We met when he did the fire safety for a stunt block at Coronation Street, 13 years ago and we've been friends ever since. 'He was a much loved son, brother, dad, colleague and partner. He was also a quiet and humble, solid friend. 'I'll miss hearing from you Matt, out of the blue sometimes, but always with a smile. You are at rest now, no more worries Matty Boy.' Alongside his work as a firefighter, Matt worked on numerous high-profile TV series, including other soaps like Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. He began working on Emmerdale in 2011, and was involved in some huge stunts, including the helicopter crash and the Hotten bypass crash. More Trending His first stunt on Coronation Street was the Rovers Return fire in 2013, and most recently he worked on the dramatic Halloween episodes in 2021. These episodes saw Abi Webster (Sally Carman) face off with her son's killer, Corey Brent, while Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) was held hostage by gangster Harvey Gaskell. Hearts conclude their Premier Sports Cup group stage campaign when they host Dumbarton at Tynecastle Park on Wednesday. Derek McInnes' side boast an 100 per cent record so far in the competition and already have one foot in the last 16 after comfortable victories over Dunfermline, Hamilton Accies and Stirling Albion, scoring four goals on each occasion. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Hearts need only draw with the Sons, who were relegated from League One last season after receiving a 15-point deduction for entering administration, to secure top spot in Group E and place in the hat for the next round but anything other than a home victory over part-time opponents would be a setback for McInnes after what has been a largely positive start to his reign. Dumbarton have three points from two matches thus far after following a 1-0 win over Stirling Albion with a 4-0 defeat by Dunfermline. Kelly was travelling with her son Sydney when she admitted she had an eerie feeling that had been lingering all day. Wearing sunglasses and her earphones, she told the camera: "On my way to the hotel in London and I keep having this feeling of impending doom that life as we know it has forever changed now. "Are we just holding onto something for a few more seconds before it completely disappears?" A fan reposted the video on TikTok where it racked up thousands of likes and comments. One shared: "Oh my she was feeling it." Another suggested: "We know when it's time for our loved ones to go." The rock legend died on Tuesday in Buckinghamshire with Sharon, his wife of 43 years and mum to their children Aimee, Jack and Kelly, by his side. His sisters today broke their silence on his death, calling the legendary rocker "our John". They received the heartbreaking news he had passed away in a phone call yesterday. Watch emotional moment Ozzy Osbourne speak about amazing life with Sharon in resurfaced moment from The Osbournes as rocker tragically dies 'He was frail but it still came as a shock,' Jean said. 'He still had plans and things he wanted to do. We don't know the details of his death, it's still too early. It's just so sad. I'm just thankful he died in England." Speaking to The Mirror today, she continued: 'We last saw him at the concert at Villa Park. I got a text off him as he drove down Lodge Road, where we used to live near the stadium. 'He said he couldn't believe all the crowds were walking down our old street to watch him perform. He was blown away. 'We had an executive box in the stadium, and when I saw the sea of people waiting to see our John I just broke down. 'We didn't really get a chance to chat much because it was such a chaotic visit. But in his last text to me he said he would be coming to Birmingham again. 'He said 'I can't wait to come back'. We were hoping to see him this week.' Of his five siblings, Ozzy is survived by Jean, Gillian and his brother Paul. Ozzy, who had Parkinson's disease, spent his final months filming a documentary about his family's return to the UK. The BBC One docuseries, which would have featured Sharon, Kelly and Jack, was tragically never finished. A source said: 'The filming was on and off again so many times, mainly because of Ozzy's health.' A showman until the very end, Ozzy bravely battled with his health problems to perform short sets of solo material and Sabbath classics. He sang from a gothic throne befitting his status as the Godfather of metal, and at times appeared desperate to climb onto his feet. A source told The Sun: 'Ozzy was having singing lessons almost every day in preparation for his last show wanting to go out with a bang. 'He was in constant pain and had nurses tending to him around the clock but was determined to play this last show. 'His determination came from wanting to play for the fans one last time who gave him the amazing life he and Sharon have enjoyed together. 'Despite his ailments, Ozzy was still very much all there. Sharp-witted and loved to crack a joke. 'After the show, Ozzy was looking forward to fully retiring at Welders with Sharon, spending their last days together in Buckinghamshire. 'Despite all their well known ups and downs over the years, the love Sharon and Ozzy share was strong until the end.' Admired by artists from Motley Crue, Elton John and Bon Jovi to Metallica, Guns & Roses and Yungblud, Ozzy was a lovable rogue whose magnetic personality transcended the stage. In 2001, he appealed to a whole new audience after appearing in reality TV show The Osbournes with his family. Its first series was the most-watched show ever on MTV and propelled Jack and Kelly into stardom, with the latter enjoying a music career of her own. The family later starred in the reality series The Osbournes Want to Believe and special The Osbournes: Night of Terror, which both focused on paranormal investigations. 5 Kelly, Sharon, Ozzy and son Jack pictured in 2003 for their show The Osbournes
