Rabat Erupts in Protest Against Gaza Blockade, IOF Crimes
From Bab El Had to the Moroccan Parliament, the crowd marched with flags, chants, and the tragic message that Gaza's genocide is only getting worse, and silence is no longer an option.
For more than 21 months, Gaza has endured relentless Israeli massacres marked by daily deaths, hunger, and an unyielding violence.
Israel has carried out a military campaign in Gaza involving mass killings, starvation, destruction of infrastructure and forced expulsions since October 7, 2023.
In Morocco, the protest was organized by the 'Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Israeli Ties,' a national coalition bringing together political parties, trade unions, human rights organizations, and prominent public figures.
The movement mobilized a wide range of participants, men and women, young and old, united in their refusal to accept the ongoing Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) massacres.
Palestinian flags waved over the crowd, while chants echoed through the capital: 'With our souls and our blood, we sacrifice for you, Palestine' and 'Morocco and Palestine, one people, not two.'

Others demanded an immediate break in diplomatic relations with Israel and urged urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza.
The march also carried a tone of defiance. Protesters called out Western and Arab governments alike, accusing them of ignoring or enabling the suffering of the Palestinians.
Placards and slogans rejected any form of political or economic connection with Tel Aviv, denouncing those links as a betrayal of justice and of Morocco's historical support for the Palestinian cause.
On the same day, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) renewed its urgent funding appeals, warning that Israel is deliberately starving civilians.
More than a million children are now caught in this humanitarian catastrophe, as the blockade continues to restrict life-saving aid from reaching Gaza.
Starvation has become yet another weapon in Israel's arsenal of oppression. Beyond bullets, airstrikes, and surveillance drones, Israel now relies on deliberate hunger as a means of forcing Palestinians to yield.
This systematic deprivation of food and aid is part of a wider plan to uproot Palestinians and impose a new reality on historic Palestinian lands. Tags: GazagenocideIOF massacresMorocco Gaza

King Mohammed VI Orders 180 Tons of Urgent Aid to Gaza
Rabat – Under the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Morocco is sending nearly 180 tons of emergency food, medical supplies, and shelter materials to support Palestinians in Gaza through an arranged delivery route. Gaza has been facing a genocidal war that killed over 50,000 while as many as 154 people died of starvation due to IOF's blockade. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the aid consists of essential food supplies, milk and products specifically intended for children. The aid also includes medicines and surgical equipment for the most vulnerable populations. Blankets, suitable tents, and other equipment are also part of the humanitarian aid. 'The aid will follow a specially arranged route to ensure swift and direct delivery to Palestinian beneficiaries, the statement said. It added that the new humanitarian campaign reflects Morocco's 'ongoing, concrete solidarity and the unwavering' of King Mohammed VI to the Palestinian cause and its brotherly people. The news comes shortly after a report from Israel Hayom, which said today that King Mohammed VI previously asked Benjamin Netanyahu to allow humanitarian assistance to enter Gaza from Morocco. 'Morocco wants to fly in aid, mainly food, to Ben-Gurion Airport and then transport it by truck to the Kerem Shalom crossing,' the news outlet reported today. In June 2024, the monarch had sent urgent directives to deploy a medical aid operation for the people in Gaza. The aid package included 40 tons of medical supplies, with the aim of addressing medical needs amid the IOF's genocide. In March of the same year, Morocco also sent 40 tons of humanitarian aid to alleviate the situation in Gaza.

Akhannouch Reaffirms Government's Commitment to King's Development Vision
Morocco's Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch reaffirmed that that the government stands firmly aligned with King Mohammed VI's vision to push forward territorial development efforts across the country Speaking after the royal reception held today in M'diq to mark Throne Day, Akhannouch described the occasion as a meaningful celebration for all Moroccans. He said the anniversary offers a renewed opportunity to reflect on the key achievements and major projects carried out under the King's leadership, especially in the economic and social sectors. Akhannouch also drew attention to the content of the King's Throne Day speech, which he said lays out new directions for boosting territorial development. He stressed that the government remains fully mobilized to implement the royal strategies aimed at creating broader opportunities and improving conditions across Moroccan regions. The King's vision for territorial development In his speech on July 29, the King outlined a vision for territorial development across the country. The monarch called for moving from 'classic patterns of social development to an approach in terms of integrated territorial development.' He stressed that there is no place, neither today nor tomorrow, 'for a Morocco advancing at two speeds.' The King outlined four priority areas for new territorial development programs, including employment promotion through 'valorization of regional economic potential and the establishment of a climate favorable to entrepreneurship and local investment.' The second area concerns strengthening basic social services, particularly education and healthcare, 'to preserve the dignity of citizens and establish spatial justice.' The king also raised the need for a 'proactive water resource management in response to worsening water stress and climate change,' as well as 'launching integrated territorial upgrading projects in alignment with national mega-projects.'
