Acclaimed filmmaker Wes Anderson, a devoted admirer of Satyajit Ray's work, will present the screening at Cannes.'Aranyer Din Ratri' is based on a novel by Sunil Gangopadhyay. This film talks about city life, differences between social classes, and the challenges of modern living. The story is about four friends from the city who go on a holiday to the forests of Palamau, hoping to relax. But their trip turns into a journey of self-discovery, where they begin to understand themselves and their lives more deeply.
