The Mark Clam Bar
If it seems like the red-and-white checkered accessories and breezy, homemade-looking shack were made to be posted, well…they probably were. It will look good on your feed, but the food is satisfying on its own—this not-so-humble shack is serving up fresh lobster rolls with cherry tomatoes and kicky sriracha mayo and baked littleneck clams with garlic butter and BBQ sauce, along with roadside sides like corn with lime and crispy hand-cut fries.
We love it for a long, late summer lunch, when you can sip a Bloody Mary, which is served here either with or without an oyster and caviar, or an Aperol spritz. And for dessert, a simple farmstand 'bowl of strawberries' is reimagined with berry sorbet, honey brioche and a lime meringue. That'll cost $21—this is almost the Hamptons, after all.
The drinks: Kick back with a Montauk Summer Ale or treat yourself to an outrageously extravagant $45 Bloody Mary.

The Chase star Mark Labbett 'wants contract changed' after gruelling filming schedule
The Chase star Mark Labbett has revealed that following his stint on Celebs Go Dating and the gruelling hours, there's one thing he's going to change in his TV contracts. Mark Labbett has revealed that he got 'frustrated' on the set of Celebs Go Dating amid the show's long filming hours, leading to him apologising to his co-stars for bursts of anger on set. The Chase star told Mirror that despite having spent 16 years on television, he found himself struggling with the demands of filming reality TV, which is much less structured than the quiz show he's used to. "I'm used to being in a pre-planned environment on The Chase, where timings are strict, but reality TV can go on for longer and the days end up ending later than you think," he explains. "For me, the one thing I found was that you need a social battery recharge, and as someone on the spectrum, that's something I really need," continues Mark. He previously shared that he believes he is on the autism spectrum but hasn't had a confirmed diagnosis. It comes after filming for the show was halted as Mark was hit on a health scare on set. Admitting that the long hours got the better of him, the trivia whiz - who is also known as The Beast - continues, "I got quite grumpy on set. I did apologise to everyone, but, in the future, I'd definitely have it in my contract that I need breaks to have a nap and recharge." "I'm very used to doing The Chase where it runs like clockwork, but coming into a location-based reality show where timing is a lot more flexible, like I said, I got moody. I'm also diabetic, so, I wear a glucose monitor and on one of the nights, my glucose level went off the scale," says Mark, as his co-star Kerry Katona interjects, "And Mark went off the scale too!" "Yeah, I did. And I did apologise to everyone afterwards, but, I realised that maybe that's happening in my personal life also - when I can lose it a little. So, that was a learning curve." The couple split in May 2024, just a week after celebrating their one year anniversary. P rior to his relationship with Hayley, Mark was married for seven years to Katie Labbett, and shares son Lawrence, who was born in 2018, with her. The former couple, who discovered they are second cousins years into the relationship, parted ways in 2020.

ITV The Chase's Mark Labbett hit by health scare on Celebs Go Dating
Mark Labbett dives back into the dating pool in Celebs Go Dating. But one health-related incident led him to experience a terrifying moment behind the scenes of the C4 show. Celebs Go Dating has returned to screens for its 14th series, as the popular reality dating show gets underway. Relationship experts Anna Williamson, Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn and Paul C Brunson are back at the agency. And of course, not forgetting everyone's favourite receptionist, Tom Read Wilson. Among the stars seeking love on Celebs Go Dating is The Chase star Mark Labbett. "I've been single for most of my life," he admits. "I'm a little bit on the spectrum." Mark, famed for his portrayal of The Beast on ITV quiz show The Chase, confesses that interpreting human signals is far more challenging than answering quiz questions. "Facts are easy, people are complicated." A health scare related to diabetes added an extra layer of difficulty to filming for the television star, as reported by the Mirror. "One night, I had a hypoglycaemic attack," he reveals. "I might have been a bit grumpy that night. I apologised to everyone after." Mark explained that a nap on set aided his recovery. However, the real surprise came when the agents asked him to interpret social cues. "I went, 'What do you mean?,'" he recalls. "'You don't notice people's emotions when in the room? ,' and I said no. There was shock on both sides." Meanwhile, Anna Williamson was delighted to return to the Channel 4 reality series. The newest season of Celebs Go Dating has had an exotic twist, as the celebrities embark on their dating adventures with a trip to Ibiza. "Get your popcorn ready," Anna teases. "We have a 'new' agency this series. We've got amazing celebrities who are so different. They each brought such different challenges for us coaches to work on." The new series will welcome some familiar faces from the showbiz world, including Love Island's Olivia Hawkins, Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell, The Sandman's Donna Preston, and Made In Chelsea's Sam Prince are all set to embark on their journeys alongside Mark. Joining them are television personality and autism advocate Christine McGuinness, singer and reality star Kerry Katona, who is making a comeback to the show after six years, and S Club 7's Jon Lee. "The challenge this year was trying to keep up with the celebrities and their dating prowess," Anna admits. "It was quite challenging to help some of our celebrities unlearn certain behaviours. Some of them didn't know how to even walk into a date and execute it appropriately." Anna, Tara, and Paul will be on hand once more in guiding the celebs as they navigate through their dates, spotting any detrimental patterns. "We let things play out," Anna reveals. "They feel emotional, tearful – that's part of the process. It's a very important part of the work. When we get to our vulnerable side, we start to look at what needs to be done." The journey can be difficult, especially when dealing with high-profile celebs. "With celebrities, they are typically very guarded," Anna highlights. "They've usually lost a bit of faith in the dating world because they've been burnt a lot along the way. Their dating pool tends to be smaller because they tend to date more within their celebrity been burnt by people selling stories or that haven't been dating them for genuine reasons. They can be a bit guarded and jaded." Regarding what lies ahead, Anna holds ambitious expectations for the programme. "Pete Wicks has been on three times, we may as well have Sam (Thompson) on three times," she remarks. However, her true desire is for a reunion. "I would love to do an All Stars version of Celebs Go Dating," she reveals. "Paul and I are always talking about this, because we've had so many celebrities come through our doors. We are always in touch with them."

Air, Big Top, North Berwick ★★★★ Three men in sterile white outfits, locked inside a large perspex box and playing meditative, chilled-out electronic music might not immediately strike the listener as the perfect headliner for a sunny Saturday evening festival set. Yet North Berwick's Fringe by the Sea staged a real coup in booking the French electronic group Air. 'Air couple joyous melodies with a retro-futurist visual aesthetic' The duo (Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel were joined by a third musician, forming a keyboards-guitar-drums trio) haven't toured since 2017, yet last year they brought a complete performance of their classic 1998 debut album Moon Safari to the Royal Albert Hall, to much excitement and acclaim. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Fringe by the Sea cannily secured the production's Scottish debut, making for an extraordinarily busy and anticipated concert, because Moon Safari's reputation persists. A concept album built around a sound rather than a theme, listeners tended to experience it as a whole rather than leaning on just the hits. Yet there were well-known singles too, and after the bubbling introduction of La Femme D'argent launched this set, the key trio of Sexy Boy, All I Need and Kelly Watched the Stars re-established what people loved most about Air; the singular freshness and joy of their melodies, coupled with their Kubrickian, retro-futurist visual aesthetic. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Air The music was recreated live with pinpoint sonic accuracy, a new depth of bottom end to the sound even encouraging a few inventive audience members to try dancing. The cube in which the band stood was internally walled with video screens, meaning the backdrop was all around them, a visual feast to match the sonic of red-lit alien smoke billowed over the lip of the stage during Talisman, and multicoloured lights like Close Encounters of the Third Kind hovered around the band during New Star in the Sky.
