Farmers hold massive tractor rally in Puttaparthi
The event, organised under the leadership of Puttaparthi MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy and former minister Dr Palle Raghunath Reddy, witnessed an impressive turnout of over 350 tractors and hundreds of farmers.
The rally began at Ganesh Circle and passed through Sai Aramam, RTC Depot, Chitravathi Road, Karnataka Nagepalli, Janakampalli, Bukkapatnam, Bukkapatnam Cheruvu Katta, Kotta Cheruvu Town, and Nehru Circle before concluding at the Market Yard.
Farmers, along with leaders and activists from coalition parties, participated in large numbers.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Sindhura Reddy described the government as farmer-friendly, noting that ₹3,174 crore was credited to the accounts of 46 lakh farmers in the first phase of the scheme across the State.
In Sri Sathya Sai district alone, ₹180.87 crore was disbursed to 2,65,040 farmers under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
She urged farmers to remember and thank such a supportive government. Former minister Dr Palle Raghunath Reddy said that 98% of the coalition government's 'Super Six' promises had been fulfilled.
He lauded Chandrababu Naidu as a staunch supporter of farmers and urged people to hold him in high regard for his welfare and development initiatives.

Mr. Naidu went on to say that the government filled nominated posts with the cadres who sweated it out for the success of the TDP, in order to reward them. On the other hand, the YSRCP was spreading false propaganda through its media houses thereby 'poisoning' the minds of the people. ''What the YSRCP is doing should not be ignored, lest the people should be influenced by its vicious campaign,'' he said, exhorting the party functionaries to be disciplined and alert to the YSRCP's machinations. They should refrain from involving themselves in controversies, he said. TDP committees The Chief Minister said the government would sternly deal with anti-social elements masquerading as politicians, and ordered that the formation of the TDP committees must be completed by the end of August. The TDP cadres have done a great job by securing an impressive victory in the ZPTC elections in Pulivendula and Vontimitta, he added.

Irked by misconduct of three MLAs, CM Chandrababu Naidu seeks report
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is learnt to have expressed his displeasure over the alleged misconduct of some of TDP MLAs. According to sources, the TDP supremo expressed dissatisfaction over the attitude of Amadalavalasa, Guntur East and Anantapur MLAs, and sought a report from the party leadership. Making it clear that internal differences within the TDP will not be tolerated, he said the objectionable acts of the MLAs and leaders will only cause damage to the party. While reviewing the implementation of the Super Six schemes, and the feedback from people with TDP leaders on Sunday, he is said to have taken serious note of the alleged comments of Anantapur MLA. Naidu asserted that the MLAs should not give scope for a minor mistake, and said it is the responsibility of the leaders to condemn the remarks immediately if there is no role of them in the false propaganda. He sought to know why the party should face the damage because of the mistakes committed by some MLAs and the party leaders. He is learnt to have asked the TDP leadership to submit a report on incidents involving the three MLAs.

Stree Shakti day one: 12 lakh women travel free in Andhra
VIJAYAWADA: The Stree Shakti scheme, providing free travel to women in RTC buses, launched on Friday by the coalition government, has become a grand success, with over 12 lakh women passengers travelling within 30 hours. According to sources, there was a tremendous response from all parts of the state for the free bus ride to women, one of the promises under the much-publicised Super Six. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the implementation of the scheme from time to time and issued necessary instructions to officials. Women saved up to Rs 5 crore by utilising the free travel in RTC buses on the very first day the scheme was rolled out. As per requests made by women passengers, the Chief Minister directed officials to allow free travel to women on buses operated on ghat roads. Initially, the RTC management did not permit free travel to women on buses running on ghat roads due to overload concerns. However, following the Chief Minister's directions, the RTC decided to extend the free ride to women on buses running on ghat roads.
