A post-mortem examination on 2 August found Mr Brown had suffered an arm wound.Police said a 41-year-old man from Northampton was previously arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday and released on bail on Saturday.A 38-year-old man was also previously arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday and was released on bail on the same day.Mr Brown's parents and brothers previously paid tribute to him and said he was "always full of fun".The force continued to appeal for information.

Police received a second call a few minutes later, prompting authorities to rush to the address, arriving just before 22:00 where the two bodies were to local media reports, Georgopoulos was five months pregnant with a baby girl. Early investigations suggest the alleged suspect arrived at the unit on Monday evening, and "then obviously an altercation has occurred," police told the media. "It appears to be a targeted attack, our suspect is known to the address," homicide squad detective Dean Thomas said."It does not appear to be a random attack and we are not looking for anybody else."Thomas said the suspect appears to have known Mr Gunn, but police were still working out the connection.A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed to the BBC that detectives will also investigate if graffiti found outside the unit is relevant to the murder investigation.

'Disturbing' rise in abusive teen relationships - as experts warn of signs to look out for
Marnie's first serious relationship came when she was 16-years-old. Warning: This article contains references to strangulation, coercive control and domestic abuse. She was naturally excited when a former friend became her first boyfriend. But after a whirlwind few months, everything changed with a slow, determined peeling away of her personality. "There was isolation, then it was the phone checking," says Marnie. As a survivor of abuse, we are not using her real name. "When I would go out with my friends or do something, I'd get constant phone calls and messages," she says. "I wouldn't be left alone to sort of enjoy my time with my friends. Sometimes he might turn up there, because I just wasn't trusted to just go and even do something minor like get my nails done." He eventually stopped her from seeing friends, shouted at her unnecessarily, and accused her of looking at other men when they would go out. If she ever had any alone time, he would bombard her with calls and texts; she wasn't allowed to do anything without him knowing where she was. He monitored her phone constantly. "Sometimes I didn't even know someone had messaged me. "My mum maybe messaged to ask me where I was. He would delete the message and put my phone away, so then I wouldn't even have a clue my mum had tried to reach me." The toll of what Marnie experienced was only realised 10 years later when she sought help for frequent panic attacks. She struggled to comprehend the damage her abuser had inflicted when she was diagnosed with PTSD. This is what psychological abuse and coercive control looks like. 2:56 Young women and girls in the UK are increasingly falling victim, with incidents of domestic abuse spiralling among under-25s. Exclusive data shared with Sky News, gathered by domestic abuse charity Refuge, reveals a disturbing rise in incidents between April 2024 and March 2025. Psychological abuse was the most commonly reported form of harm, affecting 73% of young women and girls. Of those experiencing this form of manipulation, 49% said their perpetrator had threatened to harm them and a further 35% said their abuser had threatened to kill them. Among the 62% of 16-25 year olds surveyed who had reported suffering from physical violence, half of them said they had been strangled or suffocated. Earlier this year, Sky News reported that school children were asking for advice on strangulation, but Kate Lexen, director of services at charity Tender, says children as young as nine are asking about violent pornography and displaying misogynistic behaviour. "What we're doing is preventing what those misogynistic behaviours can then escalate onto," Ms Lexen says. Tender has been running workshops and lessons on healthy relationships in primary and secondary schools and colleges for over 20 years. Children as young as nine 'talking about strangulation' Speaking to Sky News, Ms Lexen says new topics are being brought up in sessions, which practitioners and teachers are adapting to. "We're finding those Year 5 and Year 6 students, so ages 9, 10 and 11, are talking about strangulation, they're talking about attitudes that they've read online and starting to bring in some of those attitudes from some of those misogynistic influencers. "There are ways that they're talking about and to their female teachers. "We're finding that from talking to teachers as well that they are really struggling to work out how to broach these topics with the students that they are working with and how to make that a really safe space and open space to have those conversations in an age-appropriate way, which can be very challenging." 4:58 Charities like Tender exist to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence. Ms Lexen says without tackling misogynistic behaviours "early on with effective prevention education" then the repercussions, as the data for under 25s proves, will be "astronomical". At Refuge, it is already evident. Elaha Walizadeh, senior programme manager for children and young people, says the charity has seen a rise in referrals since last year. "We have also seen the dynamics of abuse changing," she adds. "So with psychological abuse being reported, we've seen a rise in that and non-fatal strangulation cases, we've seen a rise in as well. "Our frontline workers are telling us that the young people are telling them usually abuse starts from smaller signs. So things like coercive control, where the perpetrators are stopping them from seeing friends and family. It then builds." Misogyny to violent behaviour might seem like a leap.

A homeless man smiled and winked as he faced court charged with murdering a pregnant woman and decapitating her partner before putting the father-to-be's head on a spike. Ross Judd, 34, wore a simple t-shirt as he fronted Melbourne Magistrates' Court in shackles and flanked by security on Wednesday morning. Judd winked after he tripped as came into the dock but then smiled throughout the brief filing hearing over the two counts of murder. The prosecution asked the court for a ten-week extension because 'it's a complex crime scene with significant amounts of DNA evidence'. The prosecutor also said it was anticipated the autopsies will be delayed as alleged murder victim Athena Georgopoulos, 39, was pregnant when she died. Daily Mail can reveal Ms Georgopoulos was set to face a plea hearing at Ringwood Magistrates' Court on September 1 for car theft and burglary charges. Judd's Legal Aid lawyer didn't oppose the longer than usual period to serve the brief but told the court it was her client's first time in custody. Judd is also facing charges relating to prior allegations of making threats, the Daily Mail can also reveal. The lawyer also said Judd required to see the custody nurse for 'follow-up medication and physical health issues'. Ms Georgopoulos, 39, was allegedly killed alongside her partner Andrew Gunn, 50, in what police believe was a targeted attack at their Mount Waverley home, in Melbourne's south-east. On Wednesday, her mother Petty Georgopoulos paid tribute to her daughter in a heratbreaking post on social media. 'My little heart, you left life so unfairly that I still cannot believe it,' she said in the touching Facebook post. 'In recent days you were so happy - we made dreams together for our little granddaughter that you were going to bring into your life. 'And suddenly, everything was erased in one night, when an [alleged] murderer cut the thread of your life and of my little granddaughter's life that you were going to bring into the world in four months. 'No matter how much they separated us, I will never stop loving you. Forever. Until we meet again, my little girl, in the light of the angels.' She and Mr Gunn were found dead after police received calls from neighbours on Monday night about yelling coming from the property. Heavily armed police swarmed the Adrienne Crescent home at 9.55pm. Inside the small unit, officers allegedly found Mr Gunn's mutilated body next to the body of Ms Georgopoulos. The pair have yet to be formally identified. Judd, who was with two large dogs, was arrested just hours later at nearby Westall Railway Station, about 6km from the crime scene, at around 1.40am on Tuesday. He has since been charged with two counts of murder. Police allege the Judd was known to the couple, and that one of the victims lived in the unit. Police are still working to establish the accused man's connection to the alleged victims and the alleged motive. Ms Georgopoulos was five months pregnant when she died, with her aunt Patty Dilveridis saying her niece was over the moon about becoming a mother. Ms Georgopoulos had also been the primary carer of her mother Petty, who had only recently met Mr Gunn's parents after learning her daughter was pregnant. She had worked as a customer service representative for several electricity and insurance companies. Several of Ms Georgopoulos' friends have posted touching tributes to the mum-to-be who is understood to been with her partner for three years. 'Rest in peace sweet soul. Thank you for every smile you bought to my face. Thank you for every laugh (of which there were many). 'You were part of what made LUMO so fun to work at. Another friend posted: 'May you rest in peace Athena with your family... my sincerest sympathies are with your family and friends who will all feel the impact of your loss.' Another upset friend wrote: 'R.I.P Tina I'm lost for words how the f*** can someone just kill someone' Ms Georgopoulos was set to face a plea hearing at Ringwood Magistrates' Court on September 1 for car theft and burglary charges Investigators are also examining whether graffiti scrawled outside the property, including the phrases 'U R Gay,' 'Enough is Enough,' 'Betrayal,' and 'Karma' - is linked to the horror inside. The messages were sprayed in luminous yellow-green and black paint on the home's fence and exterior walls. Detective Inspector Dean Thomas from the Homicide Squad said police received several calls regarding the incident at the address prior to the grim discovery. 'Police were called at about 9.20pm in relation to a welfare check at the address based on some yelling that was heard from the property,' he said. 'A second call was then made that suggested it was perhaps more urgent than the first call and police arrived minutes later, and obviously they found the male and female inside the premises deceased.' Det Insp Thomas said forensic crews and investigators would be at the scene for most of the day, and counselling was being offered to those living in neighbouring units. One neighbour said he did not know the people at the house and had never heard of any trouble or police attending the unit prior to Monday night. 'It's a quiet area,' the man said. A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed investigators were probing the graffiti. 'Police are aware of graffiti on the property in Mount Waverley where the bodies of two people were located last night,' the spokesperson said. 'Homicide Squad detectives will work to determine if the graffiti is relevant to the murder investigation.' Det Insp Thomas said heavily armed specialist officers, assisted by the police helicopter, tracked the arrested man to the station, where he was taken into custody. 'The person that we took into custody was in the company of two large dogs, I think that would look fairly obvious to people who may have been in the area,' he added. Judd will front court via videolink at a later date.
