ITV This Morning's Dermot O'Leary apologises after spotting major on-air blunder
On Friday's instalment of This Morning, hosts Dermot O'Leary and Lisa Snowdon were hosting the ITV show when a mishap occurred
This Morning's Dermot O'Leary was left apologising to viewers during Friday's show after spotting a major blunder on air.
To celebrate the Eurovision final this weekend, ITV cook Clodagh McKenna was sharing recipes from around the continent.
Picking one of the treats up, she said: "These, I think are my favourite at the moment, they're like a mix of Danish and Italian. Spinach, ricotta, pastry swirls. We're going to show you how to make.
"Then we've got these really fun, these are so Eurovision, aren't they? These are Greek salad skewers and they're going to have a honey oregano dressing. Then we've got Swiss chocolate rolls and Strawberries dipped in nuts, German sausages with the most addictive dipping sauce, and lots more!"
However, Dermot quickly noticed there wasn't something quite right about one of the flags in the Danish dish.

He said: "Clodagh, the Danish and Italian, why is it a Spanish flag?" Picking it up, the ITV cook was adamant it was correct.
She replied: "It doesn't! This is a Danish flag..." Although Dermot replied he was pretty certain the flag was Spanish.
As they all burst out laughing, she confessed: "Well, do you know what? I wasn't in charge of flags."
Clodagh was adamant the Spanish flag was for her Danish dish
Dermot replied: "I was just curious! Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." The hilarious antics didn't end there, as Dermot then handed over to the Coupon King, Jordon Cox.
Asking what he's been up to, he replied: "Other than tasting Clodagh's strawberries, I've been looking for loads of deals- that sounded pretty weird, I'm sorry!"
Although he tried to carry on informing This Morning viewers what he would be speaking about, Jordon struggled to compose himself.
In the end, he said 'I'll see you later', before walking out of the frame while Dermot and Lisa could be heard laughing.
Jordon was left in hysterics over the blunder
This Friday, viewers saw Lisa Snowdon replace regular host Alison Hammond who had taken ill.
Addressing her absence on social media, Alison told her followers: " I've had the worst hay fever for the last 2-3 days. It's hit me like a bus.
"So, I'm just letting you know that I'm not going to be making This Morning today but the lovely Lisa Snowdon is going to be stepping into my shoes and looking after my lovely Dermot."

Ghost hunt event to take place at Llanyrafon Manor Farm
Llanyrafon Manor Farm, in Cwmbran, is hosting a 12-hour lockdown and fear ball ghost hunt. Those brave enough are invited to bring their own bedding and spend the night inside the reportedly haunted building. (Image: Supplied) The event will include a paranormal investigation with Tracey and Nigel Turner, séance technique experiments, and a free exploration of the site's three acres of grounds. Visitors will have access to most areas, including the Tudor kitchen, Great Chamber, and attic bedrooms. The history of Llanyrafon Manor Farm dates back to the mid-1500s, and it's thought that a timber-framed medieval building stood on the site as far back as the 13th century. The site was possibly a farm for the monks of Llantarnam Abbey, and some of its remains can still be seen today. The Griffiths family owned the manor for centuries, with the earliest member of the family appearing to be Walter Griffith of Llanyrafon, who practised as an attorney and left a will dated November 20, 1629. The manor once stood in a thousand acres of ground, and during the First World War, three Italian prisoners of war worked on the farm. In the Second World War, members of the Women's Land Army worked the farm, learning how to perform tasks including ploughing, milking, harvesting, and digging. Today, Llanyrafon Manor Farm stands as grand as ever, its history once again showcased for all to enjoy. A free breakfast and unlimited teas, coffees, hot chocolate, bottled waters, juice, and biscuits will be available. The event is not open to pregnant ladies or anyone intending to consume drugs or alcohol. Over in Abersychan, Garndiffaith Millennium Hall will host a murder mystery evening. (Image: Supplied) The event, which will run from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday, June 7, invites attendees to come along and solve the mystery. A ploughman's supper is included in the ticket price of £6.50. For those interested in the murder mystery evening, tickets will be available from the hall or via Eventbrite. Flash Back will travel across the border to the Olway Inn, Usk, on Saturday, June 7. (Image: Supplied) The band will perform rock and pop hits from the 60s to the 00s, promising an evening of dance and sing-along for all. Tintern Abbey will also be hosting a historical event over both days of the weekend. (Image: Supplied) Visitors will be able to discover all about monastic life in the high medieval period at one of the nation's largest monasteries of the time. The Chapter of Stronghold re-enactment group will portray the lives of monastic people, including monks, nuns, and laypeople as they write, pray, live, and eat at Tintern Abbey. There will be authentic cooking, manuscript writing, a holy reliquary, and more. Normal admission prices apply for this event.

Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit
Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. A post shared by Sue Cleaver (@officialsuecleaver) 'I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the ITV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years she has appeared as a panellist on ITV chat show Loose Women.
