Police recover $600K in stolen commercial trucks
South Simcoe police spotted an unoccupied truck that caught their attention and led to the recovery of three stolen commercial trucks valued at nearly $600,000 in Bradford.
According to police, the recovery happened on Friday, in a commercial plaza on Holland Street West.
After further investigation, police determined the truck was reported stolen from York Region a few days earlier.
The truck was undamaged and fully loaded with commercial goods with a recovered value of $300,000.
Two other trucks were also found in the area also stolen from Halton and Peel Regions, with a combined value of $275,000.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is on going.

RCMP issues terrorism peace bond after 3D-printed firearm found in P.E.I. home
The RCMP has issued a terrorism peace bond for a 50-year-old man after officers found 3D-printed firearm components at a Prince Edward Island home in February. Officers received information that Daniel Desmond Crowder was allegedly threatening individuals and organizations online on Feb. 24, according to an RCMP news release. Police arrested Crowder and seized the firearm components at his residence. Crowder was charged with: uttering threats possession of a prohibited weapon possession of a weapon while prohibited possession of a firearm two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose possession of computer data for manufacturing firearms firearms manufacturing Crowder was released from custody on strict conditions on July 23. The RCMP also sought a terrorism peace bond, which was entered into court on Aug. 18. 'A terrorism peace bond is a tool police can apply to the court for with a view to putting conditions on individuals when they fear that a person may commit a terrorism offence,' said Cpl. Gavin Moore, media relations officer for the P.E.I. RCMP, in the release. 'Given the information that was gathered from the investigation police believe that this is the most appropriate course of action against Crowder at this time. Strathroy motorist fatally injured in crash with transport truck: OPP
A 30-year-old Strathroy resident has died following a collision between a sedan and a transport truck in Oxford County, provincial police said. The collision happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Culloden Line and Mount Elgin Road in South-West Oxford. The driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said. The vehicle's lone passenger was transported to a trauma centre; however, the extent of their injuries was not provided. The driver of the transport truck involved was not physically hurt. Police say the cause of the collision remains under investigation. Both Culloden Line and Mount Elgin Road were closed for hours through the area for police investigation, but have since reopened.

Home struck by shooting in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after they say a vacant home in Cambridge was hit in a shooting early Monday. Police were called to the area of Park Avenue and Grant Street around 3:20 a.m. for the reported gunshots. When officers got there, they found a residence on Park Avenue that had been hit. They said no one was home at the time of the incident and no one was hurt. Police have asked anyone with information to call 519-570-9777 ext. 4496.
