Scout team training workshops held in Sana'a summer schools

Sana'a - Saba:
The Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses in the capital's districts, along with district executive committees, on Thursday organized training workshops for scout teams involved in summer schools across Sana'a.
Seventy-nine trainees learned about the scouting movement, its principles, structure, traditions, skills, team formation, and participation in cultural, sports, and scouting activities.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Abdullah al-Razihi, Scout Commissioner in the capital, Ali Shamlan, and Deputy Director of School Activities, Abdullah Al-Madani, observed the workshops.
They emphasized the importance of scouting in developing youth skills, promoting values, Quranic culture, and faith identity, as well as its role in community service and awareness.
They also highlighted the significance of these workshops in qualifying scout teams according to established principles, through coordination between the Ministries of Youth and Sports and Education, to enhance their participation in community-serving programs.

Summer Centers Football Championship for capital directorate teams kicks off

Sana'a - Saba: The Summer Centers Football Championship for the teams of the capital's directorates was launched today at Al-Tharafi Stadium in Sana'a. Organized by the Youth Office of the Capital Secretariat as part of the summer activities for the year 1446 AH / 2025, the tournament aims to promote sports and youth engagement. On its opening day, five matches were held between the directorate teams. The Ma'een directorate team defeated Al-Safiya 7-2, while Al-Thawra triumphed over Al-Sab'een with a 3-1 victory. Bani Al-Harath secured a 3-0 win against Azal, and Al-Tahrir overpowered Shu'ub 6-1. In a closely contested match, Old Sana'a edged out Al-Wehda on penalties. Alongside the sporting events, a cultural competition was held as part of the summer activities to enhance participants' cultural and national awareness, develop students' skills, nurture their talents, and foster a sense of national belonging. Al-Nahda team wins championship of summer schools sports league in Al-Thawra District

Sana'a - Saba: Al-Nahda neighborhood team was crowned champion of the football league for students of summer courses in Al-Thawra District, within the capital Secretariat. The league, organized by the Youth and Sports Office and the Educational Zone in the district, in cooperation with Al-Sha'ab Social Foundation and under the supervision of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses, featured six teams divided into two groups. Al-Nahda team secured the league title after a seven-day competition by defeating Al-Ghuraf neighborhood team 4-2 in the final match. At the closing ceremony, the district director, Aqeel Al-Saqqaf, the deputy director of the Youth Office in the Secretariat, Zaid Jahaf, the mobilization official in the district, Saddam Al-Hababi, and the director of the Youth Office in the district, Mohammed Al-Mutawakkil, honored the Al-Nahda team with the championship trophy. Additionally, the teams of Al-Ghuraf and Al-Hasaba Al-Shamaliya were awarded colored medals. Al-Saqqaf and Al-Hababi emphasized the importance of summer activities and courses in building a conscious generation equipped with knowledge, science, and Quranic culture, as well as nurturing students' talents and creative abilities. Meanwhile, Al-Mutawakkil noted that 90 players from summer school students across various neighborhoods in Al-Thawra District participated in the league, with the aim of forming a district team to compete in the upcoming capital-level championship.
