According to PennLive's Nick Farabaugh, Rodgers attempted a pass to star WR DK Metcalf but was picked off by Queen — leading to a loud reaction from the defense and Steelers fans alike.
This speaks to the success of the re-tooled Steelers defense, as Rodgers doesn't typically throw many interceptions — having topped 10 in a season just four times in his 20-year career. Still, it's far from an ideal way to kick off training camp — and you know the defense is letting him hear it.

Even without the interception, Young was 0 for 2 passing and was sacked once Saturday in two drives. Once the second-team unit took over, takeaways became common. Rookie Jaylin Smith intercepted third-string quarterback Jack Plummer before Damon Arnette joined in on the fun. Following his pick, Houston extended its lead by 17 thanks to a British Brooks 1-yard score with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Houston hits the road once more on Wednesday for a joint practice ahead of Saturday's game against the Detroit Lions. It's unclear if the Texans will play starters, but after Saturday, it's not really needed.

Auburn basketball 2026 targets Caleb Holt and Anthony Thompson in ESPN top 25 ranking
There is a time for Auburn basketball that it was a dream to have a top 25 prospect want to come to their school. Now it is the expectation. A decade into his tenure as Auburn head coach, it is still astonishing at what Bruce Pearl has turned the basketball program into. Two players the Tigers are interested in adding to the program in 2026 are five-star Caleb Holt and Anthony Thompson. Recently, Paul Biancardi of ESPN ranked the top 25 high school basketball players. His ranking is not just limited to the 2026 recruiting class but all of high school basketball. Holt is the highest-ranking Auburn target on the list. The small forward is ranked No. 6. According to Biancardi, Holt uses speed and quickness on both sides of the court. He is a more skilled defensive player but is improving on offense. Holt is rated as the top player in Florida and the No. 6 player nationally according to 247Sports. Thompson, another small forward, comes in at No. 17 in the ranking. ESPN projects him at No. 13 in their 2026 ESPN 100 ranking. Thompson is ranked at No. 10 by 247Sports and the No. 1 player in Ohio. His height is 6-8 but his wingspan is much longer. With his shooting ability from the three-point line he could draw comparisons to Jabari Smith. Oklahoma Sooners earn commitment from ESPN 4-star 2026 defensive lineman
The Oklahoma Sooners scored a big win on the recruiting trail earlier this week, earning a commitment from 2026 five-star edge rusher Jake Kreul. Just days later, the Sooners added another defensive line prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, James Carrington. Carrington is an ESPN four-star prospect in the cycle and has a significant offer sheet from across the college football landscape. Just a couple of days ago, Carrington decommitted from Florida State, and the expectation was that he would commit to Oklahoma.
