Farah Khan confirms cook Dilip is paid extra for YouTube appearances, tells Shruti Haasan he gets a ‘lot, more than everyone here put together'

Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan is back with another vlog with her cook Dilip. This time, she visited actor Shruti Haasan's Mumbai house. In the video, Farah recalled approaching her father, legendary actor Kamal Haasan, for Suniel Shetty's character Raghavan Datta in her film Main Hoon Na. During the vlog, Shruti also opened up about her upcoming movie Coolie, and revealed learning how to cook in the US, due to high cost of Indian foods.
Before ringing the doorbell, Farah gave the background introduction to Dilip. She said, 'Inke daddy poore India mein bahut bade star hain, and yeh Chennai mein bahut badi star hain vahan par (Her dad is a huge national star and she is also a big celebrity in Chennai). 'Ma'am, mere jitni badi star? (As big as me),' he questioned. 'Tere jaisa bada star toh koi ho hi nahi sakta hai na. Shah Rukh Khan hoyega ek din tere jitna bada star,' she replied. In fact, even while greeting them, Shruti herself addressed Dilip as the 'asli star' (real star).
After welcoming them to her house, Shruti joked and shared that people aren't able to understand the theme of her house. 'You know what everyone says? Itna paisa kamaaya, paint bhi nahi lagaaya usne (she earned so much money, but didn't paint the house).' 'I love the industrial feel, I love it,' Farah reaffirmed, while handing over a tiffin full of mutton gravy dish to her.

While chatting later, the filmmaker revealed that the actor's father Kamal Haasan was the first choice for her famous 2004 film Main Hoon Na. 'Vo first choice the, you know the story of not? He was supposed to play, but then Suniel Shetty played the role. I have gone to your Chennai office. I narrated it to him, but then he very politely asked me to **ck off from there.'
While exploring the living area, the Tees Maar Khan director asked her about the story behind a black knife kept in the showcase. 'My dad gifted this to me, a chaaku. He collects chaakus,' Shruti shared. 'Trust your dad to…ofcourse. Kamal sir aur kya hi desakte the. So nice, beautiful,' Farah responded.
When Farah Khan asked if she cooks food, the actor recalled her time in the US earlier and revealed, 'I love cooking. Especially since I went to America and I started missing Indian food. Idli costs $20 there. I was like, 'I'll learn, no problem'. Both my parents are really grounded.'
Shruti also asked Farah whether Dilip gets anything extra for his work in YouTube videos, 'Does Dilip get extra royalty or extra fees for YouTube videos?' Without revealing much detail, the filmmaker replies, 'Yes, he gets a lot… more than everyone here put together.' Shruti then explained her concern, 'We were just worried about Dilip,' to which Farah said, 'Don't be worried about him, be worried about me.'
Towards the end of the vlog, Shruti Haasan spoke about her film Coolie, which stars an ensemble cast, including superstar Rajinikanth. 'I am very excited. I didn't know that it is going to come to me. The director Lokesh came to me, as I was going to cast him in my music video. So, I called him for work and he did ulta and offered me Coolie.'
Meanwhile, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, Coolie is set to hit the big screen on August 14. The film features Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan.

Bharata Bhava Foundation to Launch in Abu Dhabi: A New Chapter for Indian Art Abroad

VMPL New Delhi [India], August 12: A landmark cultural initiative is unfolding in Abu Dhabi, where the Bharata Bhava Foundation is set to bring India's artistic soul to an international stage. Co-founded by Emirati patron of the arts Buti Al Suwaidi and Indian collector Anand Sharad Madia, the Foundation seeks to become a global platform for preserving and presenting India's deep visual traditions, across modern, classical, and tribal forms. While the physical gallery is scheduled to open in 2026, the Foundation's website has already gone live, offering visitors worldwide a curated look into its purpose, artists, and philosophy. Through digital exhibitions, narratives, and visual storytelling, the site lays the groundwork for what will soon become a permanent cultural space in the UAE capital. At the core of the Foundation lies the AM Brant Collection, which will initially feature masterworks from 30 of India's most renowned artists: a constellation of visionaries whose contributions have defined Indian modernism, revivalism, and regional expression. This carefully curated group includes legendary names such as M.F. Husain, F.N. Souza, S.H. Raza, Tyeb Mehta, and V.S. Gaitonde, alongside pioneers like Jamini Roy, Nandalal Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, Ganesh Pyne, Jehangir Sabavala, K.H. Ara, Jeram Patel, Satish Gujaral and others who shaped the Indian aesthetic from pre-independence to post-modernity. What distinguishes the AM Brant Collection is not just its artistic significance, but its exceptional provenance. Many of these works have been acquired through personal relationships with artist families, close confidants, and respected collectors, ensuring not only authenticity but emotional continuity. These are not anonymous acquisitions; they are living legacies, preserved with reverence and responsibility. Each piece carries a story, often untold, that adds to its historical and cultural weight. "Abu Dhabi is where traditions are given new life," says Buti Al Suwaidi. "It's the ideal setting for India's visual heritage to be celebrated with dignity and resonance." The initiative aligns with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030, which positions culture and creativity at the heart of the emirate's development. The Bharata Bhava Foundation steps into this landscape not merely as an art institution, but as a civilizational bridge, where Indian art engages the world with quiet confidence and timeless depth. "These are not just paintings," says Anand Sharad Madia. "They are inheritances--echoes of memory and movement. We're not archiving the past, we're letting it breathe again." Planned programs include rotating exhibitions, artist residencies, fellowships, a digital museum, and a proposed Bharata Bhava Biennale. The Foundation's first major gift " The Sacred Twelve" has been donated by the Buti Al Suwaidi family of Sharjah and the Madia family of Ahmedabad, forming the seed of its permanent collection. As India approaches Independence Day week, the Bharata Bhava Foundation offers a deeper kind of tribute: one that honours not just independence, but cultural self-expression. In choosing to bring India's artistic legacy to a global stage, it reaffirms that freedom is not only won through struggle, but sustained through storytelling. Not with noise, but with care. Not in haste, but with dignity. "The wait is almost over. Soon, will open its doors to a world where India's art, heritage, and stories breathe again." ‘I'm dying because I want to eat bhindi': Indian woman struggles as a vegetarian in South Korea

An Indian woman living in South Korea has caught the internet's attention after a video sharing her struggles in the country as a vegetarian went viral. Khushi, in her Instagram reel, explained why she cannot eat local Korean dishes including pork and beef. Speaking to a Korean friend, Khushi says, 'Because I am Indian, I can't eat pork and beef because of my religion. Eating chicken is fine, but since childhood, my mom never made me eat it, so I can't eat it now either. But I ate eggs, so I can eat eggs here.' She further explains that she eats only vegetables in South Korea. 'People here get shocked when I tell them that I survive here by only eating vegetables. It's tough for me because not many vegetarian options are available in Korea.' She continues, 'I go to cafes, but I don't like coffee either, so I can't drink that either. I like bakeries here in Korea. The breads are really very tasty. But it is too sweet,' Khushi adds. Sharing the video, Khushi wrote, 'I'm dying because I want to eat bhindi.' Like what is even available there what do you eat as a vegetarian.' Another user asked, 'Is it difficult to socialise for someone who comes as a vegetarian to Korea? Since eating out in bbq restaurants is a big part of their culture…does that make vegetarians feel left out when wanting to hangout with friends or colleagues?' 'I am Indian and I am not vegetarian so I can live anywhere in the world without any problems. Learn to adjust,' a third user reacted.

I do not think this has happened on Indian television before — that the same pair was repeated in a completely different universe or show. Jaadu Teri Nazar belongs to a totally different world. So, these are all just rumours. There is nothing like that. Shaadi, engagement, all of this — for now, since we are very young, we are focusing on our careers.
