For the unversed, Labubu dolls are a series of collectable plush toys created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung. Part of Lung's The Monsters book series, these dolls feature a unique blend of cuteness and creepiness.
They have wide eyes, pointed ears, and nine sharp teeth that form a creepy smile. They come in various sizes, colours, shapes, and styles, ranging from tiny figurines to larger plush versions. Labubu dolls are a product of Pop Mart, a leading name in the world of collectable vinyl figures. They are designed to be both kind-hearted and mischievous.
Labubu dolls were initially pretty accessible in terms of prices, ranging from under $25 (Rs 2140.66) to $100 (Rs 8562.64). However, rare versions of these dolls can fetch high prices. Recently, a life-size, four-foot-tall doll was sold for over $150,000 (Rs 1,28,43,961.29).

Shruti Haasan on Justin Bieber's internet meltdowns: ‘It's not just a Bieber thing, it's a planetary problem'
Justin Bieber, 31, has been making headlines again and not just for his newest album, Swag, but also for the deeply emotional and at times confusing posts he's been sharing on Instagram. His fans are concerned. The internet is buzzing and while many are still trying to decode what exactly is happening, Shruti Haasan offers a wider lens. Shruti Haasan on Justin Bieber's social media breakdowns In a candid chat with Ranveer Allahabadia (BeerBiceps), 32, on his podcast The Ranveer Show yesterday, Shruti didn't hold back as she shared her thoughts on what Justin might be going through. When asked is she likes Justin, she replied without hesitation: 'I don't like his music. And I don't know him, so I have no opinion.' She explained further, 'It's (music) too happy. I think I heard that first song of his that put me off (Baby).' But while Shruti isn't a fan of his music, she empathises with what he seems to be going through. When Ranveer pointed out that Justin 'seems to be going through something lately,' Shruti, 39, responded, 'Oh definitely!' What followed was a candid, reflective moment. Ranveer said he understands what Justin is experiencing, but added that not everyone does. Shruti then offered this take: 'You know, the thing is, and I've always said this — again not to play the boo hoo card — right now the world is in a very challenging space for everyone. And I feel that everyone is going through a challenging time. It's just that when you put a camera on it, it's just more obvious. But I promise you it's not a Justin Bieber thing, it's a planetary problem currently.' In other words, Justin isn't alone. His emotional turmoil may be amplified by fame, but it's part of a much larger struggle that many silently face. Shruti further opened up about how she copes with dark phases in her own life — including a piece of advice that her legendary father Kamal Haasan has consistently shared with her. 'Honestly, and I've said this in so many interviews, the advice he consistently says is, 'don't be afraid of pain, no pain, no gain'. If there is something challenging coming in front of you, face it, take it on. Of course, practically and don't hurt yourself, but no pain, no gain. And you shouldn't be afraid of the challenges,' she said. As for Justin — the singer who was once the teen sensation adored by millions — it's heartbreaking to see him battle inner demons in such a public space. But perhaps there's some solace in knowing that he's channelling all that pain into his work again.

Box Office: Metro In Dino emerges surprise success of 2025; Headed for a Rs 50 crore finish in India
The Anurag Basu-directed Metro In Dino is recording a good trend at the box office in India, as after a low start of Rs 3.25 crore, the romantic comedy has held well at lower levels through the weekdays, and is now looking for healthy spikes in business in its second weekend. After collecting Rs 25.25 crore in the first week, Metro In Dino showed a strong hold of Rs 2.25 crore on the second Friday, taking 8-day total to Rs 27.50 crore. According to early trends, Metro In Dino is showcasing an 80 percent spike in business on the second Saturday, with estimates in the range of Rs 4.00 crore. This could go higher too, depending on the walk-ins for evening and night shows. There will be another surge on Sunday, and the second weekend business is expected to be around the Rs 11.25 crore mark, which will be a nominal dip of just 30 percent from the first weekend. The trend so far indicates appreciation in the urban markets, and the film is looking at a healthy run even post the second weekend. What looked like a sub-30 crore finish on first-day, is now poised for a Rs 50 crore lifetime in India. The 9-day total of Metro In Dino stands at Rs 31.50 crore, and it's looking to stand around the Rs 36 crore mark at the end of second weekend. The film is a surprise success of 2025, as not a lot was expected from it due to the changing dynamics of cinema in the post-Covid world. The good news is also in the fact that audiences are stepping out to consume non-event films on the big screen, and the summer of 2025 has played a big role in changing the tide. The industry was struggling as the mid-level successes had disappeared and the last 4 months has seen plenty of them in the form of Jaat, Kesari 2, Raid 2, Sitaare Zameen Par, and now, Metro In Dino. Even Maa had put up reasonable numbers over the weekend upon its release. Metro In Dino will end up being an Average/Semi Hit film depending on the lifetime business, but the second Saturday growth has confirmed the 'SUCCESS' tag for the romantic comedy. The film has done the best business in urban markets, and this audience has carried the film to a reasonable number to emerge a success story despite higher costs. For those unaware, the film features Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. Metro In Dino Day Wise Box Office Collections: Week One: Rs 25.25 crore 2nd Friday: Rs 2.25 crore 2nd Saturday: Rs 4.00 crore (Expected) Total: Rs 31.50 crore Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!
