
Malaysia MADANI seminar unites 1,500 Sabah educators for patriotism drive
Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM) director-general Dr Roslan Husin said the seminar was organised to recognise the valuable contributions of educators and strengthen their understanding of government policies, particularly Malaysia MADANI initiative in the context of education.
'The programme aims to help educators fully appreciate their roles and responsibilities in building a holistic nation,' he said in a statement after the seminar's opening at the International Technology and Commercial Centre (ITCC).
The seminar was officiated by Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
Roslan added that the one-day seminar, themed 'Teachers as Catalysts for Patriotism', aimed to instill the six core values of Malaysia MADANI and foster a sense of identity and patriotism within the education sector.
He also emphasised that the experience and knowledge of retired teachers remain invaluable and they can still contribute to society through Penggerak MADANI activities in their local communities.
A forum titled 'Untold Story' was also held, where participants shared the early journeys and sacrifices of educators who dedicated their time and energy to shaping future generations. - Bernama

A member of the public recorded the incident and posted it on social media, where it quickly spread online. The school received notification around 5 PM and immediately corrected the flag's position. In a joint statement released on Saturday (2 August), the School Board of Management, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and school administration apologised. We sincerely apologize to the public for this incident. This was completely unintentional and happened due to a worker's oversight during preparation work. SJKC Chung Hua apologises for upside-down Jalur Gemilang incident
PORT DICKSON: SJKC Chung Hua has publicly apologised after the Jalur Gemilang was mistakenly displayed upside down at the school premises last Friday. The incident, which occurred on August 1, was attributed to an oversight by a staff member during flag installation. In a joint statement by the school board, Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), and administration, the school expressed regret over the unintentional error. 'The incident happened in the afternoon when a staff member was preparing flags before closing. Due to carelessness, one flag was hoisted incorrectly,' the statement clarified. The mistake was discovered around 5 pm and promptly corrected. The school acknowledged public concerns, particularly after images of the upside-down flag circulated on social media.
