NFL
followers are thrilled to see Travis Hunter start his first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie star from Colorado is expected to play both wide receiver and cornerback, something that's quite uncommon at the pro level.
As one might expect, not everyone thinks that is a good idea.
Travis Kelce
of the Kansas City Chiefs, a longtime veteran and two-time Super Bowl champion at tight end, recently expressed a rather strong opinion. His comments have created quite a stir across the NFL. What exactly did Travis Kelce say? And why might it make Travis Hunter think twice before taking on a two-way role?
What Travis Kelce warned Travis Hunter about the press
On July 2, 2025, during an appearance on the Bussin' With The Boys podcast, Travis Kelce raised concerns about Travis Hunter's dual-position plan in the NFL.
Speaking just weeks before the NFL preseason begins, Travis Kelce said teams will purposely target Travis Hunter to wear him out.
Travis Kelce explained,
'If he plays corner, they'll run deep on him all day. They'll just try to gas him out. Why wouldn't you attack him that way?'
He pointed out how the NFL is far more physical and fast-paced than college football.
As per Travis Kelce, once Travis Hunter plays against NFL veterans, he might discover that playing both sides could hinder his game (performance).

Kyle Shanahan's epic rooftop football throw into a pizza oven goes viral again

Shanahan's viral spiral hits the mark again (Image via AP) San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan may be heading into a crucial training camp, but fans are once again buzzing about a throw made far from any football field. A video clip from 2021 resurfaced this week, showing Shanahan casually launching a football into a pizza oven at a rooftop party—sparking fresh buzz across social media. The perfectly placed throw, captured during the offseason, continues to impress fans and players with its unreal precision. A holiday throw that's still earning praise The viral video features Shanahan standing beside former 49ers offensive tackle Joe Staley, a longtime team veteran, during an Independence Day celebration. While most coaches unwind with barbecue or fireworks, Shanahan took aim at a new target: a backyard pizza oven. The moment has now become an unexpected fan-favorite—part athletic feat, part party trick. As the clip recirculated this week, it reminded fans of the coach's surprising accuracy off the field. In a press conference held later that summer, Shanahan gave reporters the full story behind the throw. 'Well, since you asked, I'll describe it all. We were just messing around. It was the Fourth of July, and we were up there. We were on my buddy's rooftop, and we had a football, and I just felt like I could throw at the time.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top Public Speaking Course for Children Planet Spark Book Now Undo 'I was asking everyone where they wanted me to throw it, and they said, 'That pizza oven right over there.' And I go, 'I'm going to hit this. Film this.' And they go, 'Yeah, right.' But I hit it somehow. My best athletic moment of my life." A coach's unexpected precision beyond the playbook spotlight For Shanahan, the offseason moment may have been pure fun, but fans see it as another testament to his cool under pressure—and surprising arm strength. Though he's known for his sharp play-calling and offensive mind, this off-script highlight reel is earning him points for precision beyond the Xs and Os. 'Adults allowed it': Cam Newton blasts Geno Smith over viral OT7 jersey stomp incident

Cam Newton reacts to OT7 drama (Image credits: IG/X) Cam Newton has addressed the controversy that erupted at the OT7 tournament, where players from the South Florida Express were caught on camera stomping on his Auburn jersey. The act, seen as deeply disrespectful, occurred just before a high-stakes 7-on-7 game between South Florida Express and Newton's team, C1N. While C1N went on to win the game 39-17, the heated debate over sportsmanship and adult supervision quickly stole the spotlight. Newton takes aim at coaching conduct, not the kids The former NFL MVP didn't hold back as he took aim at Geno Smith, who was coaching the South Florida Express during the incident. Newton made it clear that he doesn't blame the young players for the stunt, but rather the adults who allowed it to happen. His comments came during the latest episode of the 4th&1 podcast, where he gave his take on the incident that went viral online. Skip Bayless gets FREAKY, Cowboys ALL-IN on Parsons & Cam SLAMS SHAMEFUL Jersey Stomping 'My issue isn't with the kids. My issue is with the adult that allowed the kids to do it,' Newton stated at the 21:30 mark of the episode. He emphasized that the responsibility lies with the leadership, not the youth involved in the act. Newton added that had the roles been reversed, he would have immediately intervened. Newton demands accountability from adults on the sidelines The 2015 NFL MVP explained that he only learned about Smith's involvement with the SFE program recently. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Providers are furious: Internet access without a subscription! Techno Mag Learn More Undo What troubled Newton most was the perceived lack of accountability from the coaching side, especially from someone with NFL status. He questioned how a figure like Smith could let such a blatant display of disrespect go unchecked. 'Now, I didn't know Geno Smith's involvement with South Florida Express prior to this past week. But if the C1N kids had a Geno Smith jersey, and they proceeded to stomp on it, I would've stopped it instantly,' Newton said. 'So when I see actions like these ... there was an adult behind this and they allowed it. And that's what was most disrespectful about this whole situation.' That honor went to LO-PROspects, who clinched the title and became two-time champions. "I didn't grasp until...": Taylor Swift's beau Travis Kelce opens up about the miscalculation of intense paparazzi; reveals being cautious in public

Travis Kelce , the NFL star, has been head over heels for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift , for years. The chemistry between them has been dazzling, and the fans cannot stop gushing about it. While they have been in the spotlight since before they even began dating, the Kansas City Chiefs player opened up about the miscalculation about the paparazzi and the attention he would get after dating the billionaire pop star. Travis Kelce opens up about 'Lights, Camera, Smile' moments In a conversation in the Bussin' With The Boys podcast, the 35-year-old athlete became candid about the constant cameras and flashes that surround them, which he did not grasp until he was in the situation. After Swift completed her highest-grossing 'Eras Tour' and Kelce's NFL season ended, they tried to be under the radar for a while. However, the media gaze never ended, especially during the dates or hangouts in the city. Kelce revealed that he did not predict such an intense shift in his life after they made their relationship public. 'Yeah, it's just the paparazzi. That's probably the only thing I didn't grasp until you're in it,' he said about how he misjudged, before adding, 'That's probably the craziest thing.' Travis Kelce has to be careful... Travis continued stating that he has to be careful about everything and anything he does in public, as there could be cameras hiding in the bushes as well. 'Like, I'm just playing golf, and all of a sudden, in the trees, there's just a f–king guy with a camera,' he said. Furthermore, Travis mentioned that even the simplest things need a second thought before doing them, adding, 'I can't just go over here and take a piss.' While he has never been afraid of slamming beers, he doesn't want his embarrassing moments on the media pages. 'I don't want my meat on Page Six,' he commented, adding that he has to be cautious in public.
