Aldi brings back fan favourite item - sending shoppers wild: 'I thought they were gone forever'
The Urban Eats Mexican-style quesadillas - in both Chipotle chicken and cheesy beef varieties - have returned to freezers nationwide, priced at just $5.99 for a two-pack.
Dubbed a 'freezer essential' by loyal fans, the quesadillas have become cult favourites for late-night snacks, work lunches, and those days when cooking just isn't on the cards.
One shopper posted excitedly online: 'Rejoice! They're back!' alongside a photo of the long-lost treats in her Aldi trolley.
The post quickly racked up comments from hundreds of fellow devotees who had been quietly mourning their disappearance.
'I lived off these a few years ago when I was nursing on night shifts, the Chipotle one is so good! I thought they were gone forever,' a fan commented.
Others admitted to checking Aldi daily 'just in case' they'd return, with some saying they had all but given up hope.
'I was so sad when I couldn't find these, it's my comfort food,' one user wrote.
The quesadillas are described as a quick and easy option that punches well above its weight for flavour and convenience
Another added: 'I've never forgiven Aldi for discontinuing them. I saw them today and nearly wept in the freezer aisle.'
The quesadillas are described as a quick and easy option that punches well above its weight for flavour and convenience.
Customers have been known to dress them up with extras like sour cream, salsa, guacamole or even more cheese.
'These are so good. I add some extra onions and they're perfect,' one home cook shared, while another said, 'I would kill for a lactose-free version. I loved these before I started having lactose problems.'
The comeback is part of a broader trend Aldi shoppers have come to expect - beloved items quietly disappearing for months at a time, only to return unexpectedly.
'I've been shopping Aldi for years. The fact is, some items just vanish for varying lengths of time.
'Dove soap - out for about six months, price card gone - then it came back. Same with toothpaste and orange juice. It's part of the thrill, honestly,' one longtime customer explained.
Even former Aldi staff have weighed in, noting that while the pork and bean quesadillas were considered seasonal, the chicken and beef flavours were once part of the store's core freezer range.
'My store has the cheese and beans one, so I'm assuming other stores should have them by now or soon!' an optimistic shopper noted.
While many customers were thrilled to see the quesadillas back, others used the moment to mourn other long-lost items, like the cult-status family meat pie and the Mexican shredded cheese.
'That was probably my fault,' joked one user about the lack of quesadillas.
'I revenge-bought these when they stopped stocking the big family pie. It was great value and tasted amazing - suddenly gone. So I had to find a replacement.'
For now, though, the return of the Urban Eats quesadillas is being met with widespread celebration - and some stockpiling.
'I bought 10 packs. No regrets,' one shopper confessed.

‘If I could wear it everyday, I would' cry Sainsbury's shoppers over £12 skirt that's a great shape & autumn-worthy
SHOPPERS are running to Sainsbury's to bag a £12 skirt that gives you a "great shape" and can be worn from summer into autumn. The supermarket's in-house fashion label Tu Clothing is one of the best-loved brands on the high street, and is constantly wowing us with its stylish but affordable buys. 3 3 From cute dresses to on-trend work attire, the fast-fashion range always hits the mark, and its autumn arrivals are no exception. One bargain buy that's stood out on the sale rack is the Gingham Printed Co-ord Midaxi Full Skirt, available in sizes six to 24. Originally priced at £24, the black and white skirt is now half price at just £12 Describing it on the website, the Sainsbury's team say: "This black and white gingham printed skirt combines classic style with modern elegance. "Cut to a midaxi length, it comes in a flattering full shape. Designed with an elasticated waist at the back for added comfort. Coordinating items available." Unsurprisingly, the skirt is almost completely sold out online - so you'll need to be quick to bag it in your nearest store. And it's already racked up a flurry of five-star reviews from delighted shoppers. One gushed: "Comfortable waistband and will be a striking addition going into autumn." A second wrote: "I bought this last week and if I could wear it everyday, I would! It's such good quality and feels amazing, fitting really nicely. It can be dressed up or down, highly recommend!" "Gold stars all round. Love this skirt",cried a third. I'm the voice of Sainsbury's self checkouts - everyone asks if I get paid per time the tills are used, here's the truth "It's a great shape, it's cotton and it has pockets which should be the gold standard. "Have been looking for a skirt like this for ages and all I found were polyester which just makes me hot. I bought it after seeing my colleague wearing it in the office. Really love TU clothing always nice quality and range." A fourth chimed in: "This is my favourite skirt this summer, love the design in this gingham seersucker fabric. It is the perfect fabric for this circle skirt, it doesn't crease and is floaty." "Love this skirt - it's so comfy and the elasticated waist is great", said a fifth. "The fabric feels really nice. I also bought the top and the dress!" Meanwhile, a sixth added: "I finally tracked down this skirt and it was so worth the wait. It fits well, has pockets and looks really nice with the matching top. A great addition to my wardrobe!" Elsewhere in store, shoppers are in a frenzy over a "super trendy" statement skirt that's perfect for autumn and giving 90s vibes. Tu Clothing's stylist Chrissi has since recommended it to shoppers and admitted she's obsessed with the "cool buy". She added: "[It's] really, really versatile. You can wear it with a big chunky boot, just a T-shirt, some simple jewellery. It's grungy, it's edgy, it's kind of 90s vibe, very cool. "But if you want more of a London gritty edge, you could wear it over jeans, or maybe a knit. It'll take you through to autumn. "If you want to give it even more of a twist, you could pair it with a shirt. Makes it a little more office friendly, so you can go from day to night in it. "Maybe add a big hoop or a big necklace to take it through to dinner. Every way, it's good. It's so versatile, I love it." Is supermarket fashion the new high street? DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in: The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family. Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a 'strong growth in clothing' and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street. Asda's clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury's clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year. So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful? Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it's good quality too - with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative. A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year. Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.

Urgent ‘hairline SOS' warning from expert who's seen more bald spots than ever caused by a style she begs women to stop
A HAIRDRESSER has shared an urgent 'hairline SOS' warning. So if you want to ensure your locks look healthy and don't get damaged easily, then you've come to the right place and will need to take notes. 4 4 4 Marlie, a hair colourist and mother from Tahmoor, Australia, took to social media to reveal the very popular but incredibly damaging hairstyle she is 'begging' women to avoid. According to this stylist, the much-loved slick back look, whether that's a slick back bun or a slick back ponytail, is causing more bald spots than ever before. It's is a viral hairstyle that's taken not only the fashion world, but the red carpet, by storm. With huge celebs such as Hailey Bieber, Maya Jama and Molly-Mae Hague all showing off their sleek buns, which are often secured down with lots of hairspray, gel or mousse, the on-trend look has shown no signs of disappearing off the radar any time soon. But if you love the slick back look, you may want to think twice about the damage it can cause. Alongside her short 'hairline SOS' clip, the blonde beauty said: 'Stop with the slick backs - I am seeing more tension alopecia now than I ever have in my entire career. 'If you are tying your hair up [in a slick back style] every single day, you are going to pull the hair out from around your hairline. 'It's so bad for your hair and your scalp health.' Sharing her advice on what to do instead, the pro continued: 'Alternatively, use a scrunchie or a claw clip - they don't have as much tension and it's so much better for your hair and your scalp.' Clearly concerned about the damage such slick back hairstyles can cause, Marlie sternly advised: 'Give it up.' Marlie's TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ hairbymarlieau, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 164,400 views. Not only this, but it's also amassed 1,861 likes, 131 comments and 2,144 shares. Many beauty fans confessed to feeling 'attacked' by the expert's concerns, but others were incredibly thankful for her advice. Stop with the slick backs - I am seeing more tension alopecia now than I ever have in my entire career Marlie One person said: 'I feel attacked, but agree.' Another added: 'This was me! I used to wear a high ponytail everyday and started getting a bald thinning patch in the elastic area. Now I use loose scrunchies or low less tight ponytails and also wear my hair out to give it a break.' A third commented: ' 51 and this is so true. Years of wearing my hair in a high bun has done so much damage.' Everything you need to know about hair loss Marie Nieuwoudt, a Group Education Manager at CLOUD NINE told Fabulous everything you need to know regarding hair loss. What are the common causes of hair loss? Marie explained: "There are so many reasons why someone may face hair loss. "The number one reason is usually hormonal changes or underlying health conditions (like thyroid conditions), and stress of course also plays a big part in changes to your hair health. "But another very common day-to-day cause is excessive damage to your hair created by mistakes in your styling routines – and this a big one to be aware of for people who are regularly applying heat to their hair! "It's important to know the right temperature for your hair type when using styling tools, as this is essential in reducing unintentional heat damage. "I also see a lot of people facing hair loss resulting from hereditary conditions, which are passed down from generation to generation." What are the best hairstyles people should try to reduce their hair loss? According to Marie: "Less is more when it comes to hair loss! It's important to be gentle with your hair, so a low-maintenance style that limits pulling on your scalp will be your best option. "Putting your hair up in a tight ponytail or adding hair clips can cause stress points at the roots. "Instead, try leaving your hair down, or out. "You're not limited in your options, but it pays to be intentional with your hair styling. Using tools which limit damage to your hair is vital. "Discussing your concerns with a hairdresser or hair loss specialist is also a great way to find styles that suit your specific needs, whilst still making sure you look and feel your best." How long does it take for hair loss to stop? If you're itching to know when your hair will grow back, Marie confirmed: "Hair loss is a personal journey – and it's different for everyone, so it's very difficult to put exact timings on this process. "Every head of hair is unique, and so too is your hair loss experience. "As always, you can speak to a professional hairdresser or trichologist about your specific concerns and hair changes, and they'll be able to help you manage those expectations. "I can't emphasise enough how important it is to be kind to your hair. Most people treat their hair quite roughly, and this is something you definitely want to avoid when dealing with hair loss in particular. "Make sure you're choosing products and styling routines that you know are good for your hair, rather than causing additional damage." Someone else admitted: 'Yep, I'm living proof.' At the same time, one beauty fan beamed: 'Ok I love this! I love that you said stop it, gave a reason why and then gave an alternative! At the start I was like 'well I can't I have to have my hair tied up" and then came the end! Thank you! 'So many people give unsolicited advice with no alternative ideas and it's frustrating so I appreciate you!' Meanwhile, one user penned: "It's hard when you work in the hospitality industry and you need to tie your hair back a lot.' But to this, Marlie wrote back and explained: 'You can still tie it up without doing it with heaps of tension.'
