First Look at Italian Restaurant Cane Pazzo in Hanahan
Downtown Charleston isn't the only Lowcountry city experiencing a rise in Italian restaurants — Hanahan is getting in the game too with the opening of Cane Pazzo on Friday, June 13. Former Indaco chef and Indigo Road culinary director Mark Bolchoz, who resides in the area with his wife and restaurant co-owner, Ariana Bolchoz, will bring traditional osteria vibes, focusing on Lowcountry products and produce.
'I feel like opening Cane Pazzo is a culmination of my life so far,' says Mark,' It's been about 18 years in the making. I'm super excited.'
The menu is seasonal, so catch ever-changing dishes like ricotta triangoli with Sungold tomato sauce or corn and pepper risotto while it's still available. The offerings range from well-worn starters, such as meatballs and crispy mozzarella, to various pasta dishes, and then a few protein-heavy plates, including pan-seared fish and ribeye with a garlic compound butter.
Cane Pazzo is designed to be a neighborhood restaurant, and the dining room embodies a laid-back, convivial atmosphere. At 1276 Yeamans Hall Road, you'll find classic Italian restaurant features like black-and-white family photos on the walls, leather banquettes, and a wood-fired oven that anchors the space. Take a look around the space here before the opening. Cane Pazzo will open Tuesday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday through Saturday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. See More: Charleston

NEAR Protocol Faces Heavy Institutional Selling, Recovers Slightly Amid Ongoing Volatility
NEAR Protocol saw heightened volatility in the 24 hours ending August 14 at 14:00 UTC, with prices fluctuating between $2.78 and $3.05 before settling at $2.82. The decline from the $3.05 resistance to $2.75 support was driven by heavy institutional selling, totaling nearly 20 million tokens during peak pressure. Despite this, the asset's fundamentals remain strong, supported by a sizable active user base of 16 million weekly participants. In the hour following the selloff, NEAR gained 0.35% to $2.83, trading within a controlled $0.07 range between $2.81 and $2.85. Key institutional buying appeared at several intervals, helping the token breach short-term resistance at $2.83–$2.84 and reach session highs of $2.85. Trading volume eased to roughly 100,000 tokens per minute, suggesting accumulation rather than speculative retail activity, with preliminary support forming near $2.81–$2.82. NEAR Protocol recorded substantial price volatility with a $0.26 trading range representing 8.53% movement between the session high of $3.05 and low of $2.78. The cryptocurrency initially demonstrated upward momentum from $2.90 to reach $3.05 during evening trading hours, establishing technical resistance at the $3.04-$3.05 level. Significant institutional selling occurred during August 14 between 12:00-13:00 UTC with exceptional trading volumes of 19.99 million and 12.22 million tokens respectively. Daily trading activity substantially exceeded the 24-hour average of 5.47 million tokens, reflecting heightened institutional selling pressure. Market price declined to $2.75 before corporate buying interest supported a recovery to $2.82 at session close. High-volume institutional selling patterns suggest potential continued downside risk despite modest recovery attempts, according to market strategists. Stellar Lumens Holds Firm as Network Growth Set Stage for Breakout
Stellar lumens (XLM) traded in a tight range over the past 24 hours, holding between $0.42 and $0.43 from Aug. 14 at 15:00 UTC through Aug. 15 at 14:00 UTC. The token saw measured gains before late-session profit-taking pushed prices 1% lower to $0.43 in the final hour of trade. CoinDesk Data's technical analysis model suggests XLM is approaching a key resistance level at $0.50, with a breakout potentially targeting $0.60–$0.77, backed by strengthening network fundamentals and growing institutional participation. On-chain metrics continue to paint a bullish picture. Stellar's active enterprise wallets hit an all-time high of 9.69 million, with 5,000–6,000 new institutional addresses added daily. Total value locked on the network jumped 80% to $150 million, reflecting a surge in corporate adoption. Traders are closely watching the $0.47–$0.50 zone, a potential trigger point for institutional short covering that could fuel the next leg higher. Despite early pressure pushing XLM down to $0.42 in the first six hours of the session, buyers consistently emerged at that level, signaling strong institutional support. Overnight, the token staged a steady recovery, retesting $0.43 before consolidating. In the final 60 minutes, heavy selling briefly drove prices back to $0.42, but a swift rebound and lighter volume suggest selling pressure may be easing, leaving room for renewed upside momentum. Stellar established robust institutional support at $0.42 zone with consistent corporate buyer emergence during early session decline. Cryptocurrency tested resistance near $0.43 during overnight institutional trading before consolidating in upper price range. Trading volume peaked at 71.43 million during initial six-hour decline, indicating significant institutional participation and interest. Technical formation approaches critical resistance at $0.50 level, representing key institutional breakout threshold. Corporate momentum indicators suggest potential advancement toward $0.60-$0.77 institutional price target zones. Diminishing trading volume in final hour signals exhausted institutional selling pressure and market stabilization potential. Exciting wonderkid on his way to Liverpool as Richard Hughes agrees ANOTHER transfer
Another exciting player is on his way to Liverpool after Richard Hughes struck an agreement for his transfer. Before the start of this summer's window, the jury was still out on the club's sporting director. Hughes was quiet last summer, biding his time for this year. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas home range 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! This has been a summer of rebuild and transition, building on the founding blocks that Arne Slot established last season. Hughes has brought in Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike. In the process he's made this Liverpool team better and more unpredictable. The quartet alone would be enough for him to end this summer window with a pat on the back. But Hughes isn't done yet. He's ready to end the window with another spending spree. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas away range There are now just less than three weeks left until the window shuts close on September 1st. Time is running out for Liverpool to get deals over the line. And while the new additions have bolstered Slot's team, there are still areas where Liverpool look vulnerable. The Community Shield highlighted the gap in defence and the lack of options available to Slot. This is something Hughes is clearly trying to fix. Liverpool have been embroiled in a saga with Marc Guehi and Crystal Palace for much of the summer. At this point, that deal could end either way. But ultimately, Liverpool have a great chance of getting their man on a free next summer if they don't agree a deal this year. In the meantime, Hughes has not put all his eggs in one basket. In a separate deal to Guehi, he's agreed a £26m transfer for the signing of Giovanni Leoni as per Fabrizio Romano. The exciting wonderkid is regarded as one Italy's best prospects and now he will be moving to Liverpool pending a medical. A lot of people are excited about Leoni and rightfully so. He looks like a real prospect, someone who may be destined to play at Anfield and follow in the footsteps of Virgil van Dijk. Now the latest on Leoni is the fact that he's jetting off to Liverpool. The wonderkid is now heading to Merseyside ahead of his move as per the latest video captured of the young Italian at an airport in Parama on Thursday morning. It's another deal that is close to be done. Another deal Hughes masterfully negotiated and agreed a pretty decent transfer fee for.
