Linkin Park Scores Several Top-Selling Albums As Classics And New Titles Return
This week on the music charts in the United Kingdom, Linkin Park sees four albums appear on at least one tally apiece. All but one of them land on multiple lists. The fact that the group — which is only actively promoting one of the efforts — sees so many titles appear on the rosters is impressive. What's even more notable this time around is that all but one of those projects reappears. Some of them bounce back onto multiple tallies, while one breaks back in on just a single list.
The consumption of Linkin Park's music is always high, but with Record Store Day releases disappearing from the weekly rankings in the U.K., there's more room for holdovers like the hard rock outfit's continued and constant bestsellers.
Among all three of Linkin Park's comebacks, the group's most recent full-length is the big winner. From Zero — which returned the musicians from a hiatus of more than half a decade — reenters both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts at No. 43.
In a bit of coincidence and yet another show of neverending popularity, Hybrid Theory — the full-length that started it all — also manages to reappear on both the general sales ranking and the list that concerns itself only with the bestselling titles on CD, vinyl, and cassette. Hybrid Theory lands on those two tallies once more at No. 60.
It's not terribly uncommon for the same album to appear in the same position on these two rosters…though it's far more frequently seen that efforts come in just a few spaces apart and don't land in the exact spot on multiple lists, due to a variety of sales factors.
Meteora is Linkin Park's third and final comeback on the U.K. rankings this time around. It breaks back onto the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart in last place at No. 40. The title is also celebrating a major milestone, as it reaches 400 weeks somewhere on the U.K.'s ranking of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in those styles.
Linkin Park fills a trio of spots on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this week. As Meteora returns, both From Zero and Hybrid Theory bounce back into the top 10. The newest of the bunch jumps from No. 11 to No. 5, while the group's groundbreaking debut full-length bolts from No. 14 to No. 9.
In addition to all of Linkin Park's comebacks, one collection holds on, as even Record Store Day couldn't push it off the charts. Papercuts – Singles Collection 2000–2023 is still present, just as it was last frame, and it appears on two tallies that From Zero, Hybrid Theory and Meteora do not reach. It keeps at No. 29 on the Official Albums chart, a general consumption ranking of the most popular efforts in the country. It also drops just a few spots on the Official Albums Streaming tally, as fans continue to flock to platforms like Spotify to listen to Linkin Park's most successful tunes, which are gathered together on this compilation. The set was released in early 2024, just a few months before the band began promoting From Zero.

Steelers welcome legendary band Linkin Park to practice
The Pittsburgh Steelers had some special guests at practice on Tuesday — none other than the legendary band Linkin Park. One of the greatest rock bands of their generation, Linkin Park had a front-row seat to intense action at practice — with Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Brian Batko reporting that Aaron Rodgers played a role in their attendance. Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, David Farrell, Colin Brittain, Alex Feder, and Emily Armstrong — the new co-vocalist following the late-great Chester Bennington's passing in 2017 — had a show later that night at the Pittsburgh Penguins' PPG Paints Arena, part of their From Zero World Tour. Their next stop is Nashville, Tennessee, at the Bridgestone Arena on August 21, but the Steelers won't forget the surprise appearance of the iconic Linkin Park. The Pittsburgh Steelers will need to shake off the starstruck nerves in a hurry, as they travel to take on the Carolina Panthers in their preseason finale on Thursday, August 21, at 7:00 PM EST — which you can learn more about here. AC/DC's Hit Songs Are All Rising Together
AC/DC claims four climbing hits on the U.K.'s Official Rock & Metal Singles chart this week — and they're all rising — led by 'Thunderstruck' at No. 4. UNITED KINGDOM - AUGUST 01: CAMDEN Photo of AC DC and Malcolm YOUNG and Cliff WILLIAMS and Bon SCOTT and Angus YOUNG and AC/DC and Phil RUDD, L-R: Malcolm Young, Bon Scott, Angus Young, Cliff Williams, Phil Rudd - posed, studio, group shot (Photo by Fin Costello/Redferns) Redferns Anytime a singer or band sees a hit song from years past rise on charts in any country, it's a reason to celebrate. So much of the music industry and the media around it is built upon generating excitement for what's brand new or what's coming soon. Only a relatively small number of acts have released at least one tune — if not several — that can still appear on charts years or decades after an initial promotional heyday. A very lucky few have seen multiple tunes score second lives or, in some cases, never disappear entirely. AC/DC is one such name. The Australian rock outfit is one of the bestselling of all time, but its commercial success isn't limited to the past. The band regularly appears on charts in a number of Western nations, both with popular albums and songs, and this frame is especially thrilling for both the group and its fans, as it seems that interest in everything AC/DC is growing in the United Kingdom. AC/DC has four songs on the charts in the U.K. this week. All of them appear on the Official Rock & Metal Singles tally, and somehow, each and every one of them climbs from where it sat just a few days ago. The group's biggest hit in the country at the moment is 'Thunderstruck,' which is often the case. That tune lifts to No. 4, up one spot. Also present on the U.K.'s ranking of the bestselling tracks that can be classified as any form of rock or metal are 'Back in Black,' 'Highway to Hell,' and 'You Shook Me All Night Long.' Each of those tunes lifts at least one spot, and they settle at Nos. 15, 22, and 33, respectively. Three of AC/DC's four current wins on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart have hit No. 1. Only 'You Shook Me All Night Long' missed out on the throne, and it didn't miss by much, as it stalled in the runner-up spot. It is also the AC/DC tune with the shortest lifespan of the four that are currently found on the tally, though the smash has still managed to live on the list for well over a decade. 'Thunderstruck,' 'Back in Black,' and 'Highway to Hell' have already passed 600 weeks on the ranking, and they add to those sums consistently. 'Back in Black,' 'Highway to Hell,' and 'You Shook Me All Night Long' are only present on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, while 'Thunderstruck' is a bestseller on several other lists at the same time. That track dips on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales rankings, declining to Nos. 64 and 67, respectively.

Linkin Park's Tour Pushes The Band Up The Charts — But One Album Is Missing
Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory and Meteora appear on five Billboard charts each this week, climbing everywhere as the band's From Zero World Tour hits America again. MILAN, ITALY - JUNE 24: Emily Armstrong of Linkin Park performs at the I-Days Festival at Ippodromo Snai La Maura on June 24, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by Sergione Infuso/Corbis via Getty Images) Corbis via Getty Images After spending much of the summer traveling around Europe on its From Zero World Tour, Linkin Park is back in the United States. The group brought the venture back to America in late July and has dates scheduled throughout North America into the fall. It seems that the excitement generated by the Grammy-winning act's comeback and performances at major venues helps the group climb a number of Billboard charts, as consumption of several of the outfit's most famous full-lengths explodes — but amazingly, not the one being promoted on its current trek. Two of Linkin Park's most celebrated releases, Hybrid Theory and Meteora, both appear on five Billboard tallies this frame. They sit five spaces apart from one another on the Billboard 200, with the band's debut full-length lifting to No. 103, while its sophomore set climbs to No. 108. On the Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums, and Top Hard Rock Albums tallies, the titles appear just one space away from one another, sitting side by side. The bestsellers earn the loftiest positions on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, with Hybrid Theory lifting to No. 6 while Meteora improves to No. 7. Hybrid Theory also returns to the top 10 on the Top Alternative Albums chart, while Meteora misses out on doing so by just one space, as they sit at Nos. 10 and 11, respectively. In both instances, Hybrid Theory and Meteora climb on every ranking on which they can be found when compared to last week. Hybrid Theory does manage to break back onto the Top Rock Albums chart at No. 20, while Meteora, which last time around sat at No. 25, is up to No. 21. A third set by Linkin Park, Papercuts, improves five spaces to No. 20 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. That compilation gathers together most of the group's famous and successful singles and also includes a handful of previously unreleased material, and it dropped only a few months before Linkin Park officially announced a comeback. It's the only title from the hard rock act to appear on just a single Billboard ranking at the moment. Linkin Park is currently on tour promoting From Zero, its comeback album that dropped in the fall of 2024. Somewhat surprisingly, while it's clear that interest in all things related to the rap-rock pioneers is on the rise, From Zero is nowhere to be found. That may change in the coming weeks as Linkin Park tours the nation, but it seems clear that interest remains focused on the outfit's earliest work.
