Tchatchoua turns his back on Everton

A firm no that shows, at 23, Jackson Tchatchoua already knows how to chart his own path. Tchatchoua turns his back on Everton Jackson Tchatchoua has made his choice. The 23-year-old Cameroonian right-back, a key player for Hellas Verona, has turned down Everton. It's a bold decision that comes as a surprise, given the English club offered him a great opportunity. But Tchatchoua wants something different. According to CaughtOffside, he prefers Wolverhampton, where a deal is already in place. The transfer is valued at £10 million. Only the contract length remains to be finalized. Everton had hoped to lure him to the Premier League. Nottingham Forest, Milan, and Besiktas were also in the running. But the player opted for the stability of a clear project with Wolves. At Verona, he proved his full potential: 36 Serie A matches, two goals, three assists. Most importantly, his consistency has earned the trust of scouts. A 10-cap Cameroonian international, Tchatchoua is now looking to take the next step.

Liverpool show GIANT wonderkid that he's destined for greatness

Liverpool wasted no time in showing their giant new wonderkid why he's destined for greatness. They've got a special one here. Liverpool completed the signing of Giovanni Leoni on Friday ahead of their 4-2 win over Bournemouth. The Italian joins for around £26m from Parma as the Reds tie down one of the hottest prospects in Europe. There aren't many 18-year-old centre-backs playing regularly in a top European league, after all. Leoni managed just that last season, however, as he forced his way into Parma's starting XI. A fantastic deal all around, honestly. But not all wonderkids are the same. If you want to actually play a top young talent and develop him correctly, you need to be able to use him - and he's got to be able to excel. Leoni was at the Anfield clash on Friday to watch his new team play. And it should have removed any and all doubts that Liverpool is the place for him. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas away range Giovanni Leoni is destined for greatness Leoni is, on paper, perfect for Liverpool. If only because of his physical attributes. The teenager stands 6ft 5 tall and boasts the physicality that comes with it. It's why he's able to win 63 per cent of his aerial duels against far more senior players and why he's been described internally as 'an absolute joke'. And that's a trait Liverpool are after. They want that kind of physicality at the back - players capable of battling one vs one in duels, capable of bossing attackers in isolation. It's been a hallmark of Virgil van Dijk's play at Liverpool and Leoni does view him as an idol. He'll have been impressed against Bournemouth, then, as the Dutchman made a ridiculous 17 clearances, 13 of which came in the air. That's a record for Van Dijk with both numbers. And this is what Liverpool want Leoni to become. The Van Dijk successor, basically. Someone who can defend against counter-attacks on his own and fight for the ball in duels, removing outlets for teams and not allowing them to get footholds high up the pitch. Leoni is destined to deliver that at a high level - he can already do it at 18. Liverpool is the right place for him, then. The Italian fits the bill for what the Reds want in a defender and that means he should fulfil his potential at Anfield, or at least have the best possible chance of doing so. And what incredible potential it is.

Ben Jacobs reveals how much Chelsea will make after Nottingham Forest complete £37.5m transfer

Chelsea will make around £3.75m after Omari Hutchinson completed his move to Nottingham Forest according to journalist Ben Jacobs. Forest officially announced the signing on Saturday for a fee of £37.5m, and he returns to the Premier League having been relegated with Ipswich last season. Chelsea signed the 22-year-old on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2022, but sold Hutchinson to Ipswich for around £20m last summer. Chelsea to benefit from Forest signing Hutchinson Hutchinson barely featured for Chelsea and made just two appearances for the club, but the Blues made sure they included a sell on clause when he left. Chelsea are now set to benefit from that, and they are entitled to 25% of any profit made from the next sale of the England under-21 international. Hutchinson made just two appearances for Chelsea. It had been reported Chelsea were in line to receive to just over £4m, but Jacobs has now provided an update on the figure. He took to and said: 'Chelsea will make approximately £3.75m from Omari Hutchinson's move to Nottingham Forest due to a 25% sell-on.' Considering Hutchinson arrived on a free, and was sold for £20m, it's not bad business at all, and the Sporting directors deserve credit. It was reported earlier this week they had signed contract extensions keeping them at Stamford Bridge for the next six years, and there appears to be some level of stability both on and off the pitch. Chelsea sales picking up It's been a good summer for Chelsea, but they are set for a busy end to the window, especially in regards to player sales. Chelsea have already moved a number of players on, but there are still several left who they need to find new clubs for.
