Michelle Keegan 'torn' after baby Palma's birth with 'struggle to say no'
After being tipped for Hollywood stardom, Michelle Keegan is feeling 'torn' between being a full-time mum and making the most of some exciting job offers. The former Corrie actress gave birth to baby Palma just four months ago, but already has TV execs vying to hire her, a source says, leaving her with a dilemma.
'Michelle has always been a hard worker, so she's torn between staying at home with Palma and getting back out there,' our source claims. 'It's not an easy industry – you're self-employed so you never know when your next job might be. It's still really early days, but these are the questions she's asking herself, because she's very much in demand. Everything Michelle touches lately seems to turn to gold.'

Just weeks ago it was reported that Stockport-born Michelle had signed a six-figure deal to become the new face of Sky – alongside Luther star Idris Elba. And Michelle recently shared some photos of herself stepping back in front of the camera for a mystery project.
Stylish in linen trousers and a top with 'Copacabana' written across the front, the 38-year-old was having her hair and make-up done. This could be her first big professional commitment since having Palma – her first child with her husband, former TOWIE star turned presenter Mark Wright – on 6 March.
But for Michelle, who shot to fame in 2008 as barmaid Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street, it also means stepping away temporarily from the most important role of her life – motherhood.
Parenting expert Joy Randolph tells OK!, 'What Michelle is feeling is completely normal – and incredibly common for new mothers; that emotional tug between wanting to be there for every moment with your baby, and also honouring the career you've worked so hard to build. It's not a lack of love or commitment. It's the reality of being a working mother today.
'Her situation reflects the reality of many. She's not choosing one over the other. She's trying, like millions of women do, to hold both her baby and her career in the same hand. That's not a weakness. That's motherhood.'
With Michelle's Sky comedy Brassic wrapping on its seventh and final season, she is clearly eager to stay connected with the network, in a new capacity.
Our source goes on to say, 'The Sky deal is her dipping her toe back in the water and working out what she's comfortable with. She knows she won't get this time back with Palma, but it's hard saying 'no' when you're in demand and you don't know how long that will last."
The source continued, 'The thought of leaving her baby even for a short time is really hard, even though Mark is an amazing dad and very supportive. She's really ambitious and had such success with Fool Me Once that it's hard for her to think about staying away from work for too long.'
Post-Corrie, Michelle's career skyrocketed, as she took lead roles in BBC military drama Our Girl, Sky's Brassic and BBC Australian period drama Ten Pound Poms.
But her star power was cemented last year, with her impressive turn as Maya Stern in Netflix 's Harlan Coben thriller Fool Me Once – which became a global hit and sparked rumours she was being touted for roles across the pond.
Between jobs, she'll no doubt return to the couple's Essex home to pick up where she left off. And Michelle and Mark have evidently been enjoying their time as new parents, sharing glimpses of Palma on their social media accounts.
The couple and daughter Palma – whose name is believed to have been inspired by the Spanish island of Majorca, where they own a property – recently returned from Spain's £300-a-night SO/Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort Hotel after a break with Mark's extended family, Palma's first holiday abroad.
And, as our source claims, Mark has taken to fatherhood 'like a duck to water' and will support Michelle in whatever she decides. Mark, also 38, was back at work in the Heart FM studio with pal and co-presenter Olly Murs just days after Palma's birth.
Speaking to the Dance With Me Tonight hitmaker, who also became a dad for the first time last year, a besotted Mark said he'd be videocalling his wife and daughter during their studio breaks.
'It makes you realise what our mums did for us, and makes me have so much more respect than I already had for what women go through,' he added, praising Michelle as a 'superhero'.
'Michelle has really bonded with Palma – as has Mark – and she is loving every second of being a mum, they both feel it's all been worth every second of the wait for her. She's such a happy baby and Michelle and Mark are brilliant parents – nothing seems to faze them. They're both in their element.'

Colson Smith makes awkward Jack P Shepherd wedding blunder after being made best man
Coronation Street star Jack P Shephard wed his fiancee Hanni in a stunning ceremony in Manchester this weekend as he made Colson Smith his best man before an awkward blunder Jack P Shepherd's former Coronation Street co-star Colson Smith found himself in an awkward mistake as he celebrated his wedding. The David Platt actor, 37, married his fiancee Hanni Treweek on Saturday in a stunning ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest. They wed at Manchester Cathedral in front of their friends, family and Jack's Corrie co-stars. Jack and Hanni then headed over to a swanky hotel in the city were the party continued into the evening. However, it seems the partying may have been too much for Colson as he took to social media the following day. The former Craig Tinker star took on a very special role of being part of Jack's groomsmen for the wedding. He was by Jack's side as he said his vows and became a married man. Just before the ceremony, Jack posed for a photo with Colson as they soaked up the moment together. Colson has since shared the snap on his Instagram, but his caption caught the attention of his fans. The Celebrity Big Brother star wrote: "26/8/2025 The Shepherd Wedding." However, many quickly realised Colson had got the date wrong by a month. In the awkward moment, it seemed Colson wanted to quickly correct the mistake as he then shared a blank screen and commented: "Or 26/7/2025," followed by an upside down emoji. Despite Colson's mistake, it didn't stop Jack and Hanni from having the best day of their lives. They hired out the swanky Hallé St Peter's in the city for their reception, where they were joined by even more of their friends and family. Amongst the guests were Lucy Fallon, Tina O'Brien and Julia Golding. Jack's on-screen mum Helen Worth also looked a picture of happiness as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband towards the venue. Jack and Hanni performed their first dance after they revealed they took up dance lessons to prepare for their big day and it certainly paid off. The newlyweds strutted their stuff on the dancefloor before they were joined by their guests to party the night away along to a live band. On Sunday, bride Hanni took to her social media for the first time to share a message as a wife. She posted a series of romantic snaps from the day and gushed: "Introducing Mr & Mrs Shepherd. "Words cannot describe how beautiful yesterday was for us - it was more than perfect the love & energy in the room (and outside) was incredible - our hearts our truly full thank you so much to you all - it means the world to us. "Love is all you need x It took a whole team - a team we couldn't be happier with, thank you so much - we are literally in awe of how talented you all are."

Coronation Street wedding chaos when bride-to-be Bernie Winter suffers terrifying health scare as she ties the knot with Dev Alahan - amid claims soap is set for 'huge cast cull'
Coronation Street lovebirds Bernie Winter and Dev Alahan are finally set to walk down the aisle in the coming weeks, but their big day won't go off without a hitch. The couple's big day is set to be full of drama including stag party shenanigans, a burglary, surprise proposal, shock collapse and a hospital dash midway through the ceremony. The week starts with the stag and hen parties, with Bernie celebrating her wedding with a low-key hen party in The Bistro after saving money by buying cheap suits for Dev and his son Aadi. But suddenly, word reaches the hens that the boys have hired a pole dancer at the Rovers, and a furious Bernie storms into the pub to find the stags cheering on the performer - is all as it seems? In scenes set it air on Wednesday, August 6, as the big day dawns Dev and Bernie's dream wedding goes from bad to worse when the quads fall ill and have to watch with Joseph on live stream. As she gets ready to walk down the aisle in her unconventional wedding dress, Bernie forgets her lucky charm locket containing the photo of Paul, and when she runs home to get it she disturbs a burglar. Meanwhile the restless guests back at the Bistro are entertained by a song from Debbie Webster who surprises Ronnie with a proposal, will he accept? After such an eventful start to the day, the guests take their seats for the main event and a glowing Bernie walks down the aisle towards Dev to make their vows. With the service about to start, Dev and Bernie share loving looks, but suddenly Bernie struggles to breathe and collapses in front of a shocked Dev. Is the dramatic day about to end in tragedy or will Bernie and Dev tie the knot? Speaking about the chaotic build-up to the big day, actress Jane Hazlegrove, who plays Bernie, said: 'The day goes from bad to worse! 'That's what is so brilliant about Coronation Street, you don't know what you're going to get until you open the page of the script and that's what is so fantastic about how it plays out – we've got this woman raving down the aisle and the next minute she's collapsed and an ambulance is on its way!' Jane also revealed that she had a hand in the design of Bernie's unconventional wedding dress. She said: 'I knew that Bernie wouldn't go down the road of wearing a traditional dress. I had seen some old footage of Elkie Brookes on TV and she was wearing a kaftan. 'I am a big fan of Elkie so that was the initial inspiration, but this is for Bernie so it needed to be a bit extra. 'Our fantastic talented costume department came up with the 1970s style white dress that is a bit Elkie Brookes, a bit Demis Roussos and very Bernie Winter.' It comes after it was reported on Sunday that Corrie and its rival Emmerdale could be hit by a massive cast cull, with proposals to 'cut one in ten cast members' as part of sweeping cost-cutting measures. The broadcaster has announced plans to slash £15million from its budget, after revealing profits have plunged by 44 per cent to £99million for the first half of the year. Now, both soaps are reportedly being targeted in a bid to bring spiralling production costs under control. It has been reported that around 10 per cent of the current cast lists - which include 84 regulars on Corrie and 70 on Emmerdale - are expected to be dropped. Scripts and episode structures are also under review, with producers being told to reduce the number of scenes per episode and tighten shooting schedules. A source told The Sun: 'It's brutal. We've known it was on the cards for a while, but they're really cranking it up now and it's across the soaps. 'They're looking to save millions and Corrie and Emmerdale are the obvious places. They're very expensive shows.' Most actors are contracted per episode and guaranteed a set number annually - a system which is thought to have become unsustainable. Some long-serving cast members are reportedly concerned about their job security, particularly those who rely on a steady income from the soaps. The source added: 'Many who have been there for a long time are reliant on their income staying as it is. 'The amount of cast has spiralled out of control and focusing on dialogue, not action, could also save money.' The proposed cuts come as ITV undergoes a wider restructuring across its daytime programming, with major job losses already hitting shows including Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women.

All the details from Jack P. Shepherd's lavish cathedral wedding to Hanni Treweek from Coronation Street wedding singer cameo to CBB winner's sweet gesture to new wife
Jack P. Shepherd and Hanni Treweek were surrounded by friends, family and colleagues as they tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral this weekend. The newlyweds - who met while Hanni worked as a storyline writer and researcher on Coronation Street - shared a passionate kiss as white confetti fell on them after the romantic ceremony. Several of Jack's soap co-stars were among the guests - and actor Andy Whyment even took to the stage to sing a few songs as the celebrations went on into the night. In a series of clips shared on guests' Instagram Stories, Andy could be seen accompanied by a band as he sang Half The World Away by Oasis. Meanwhile Lucy Fallon posted an adorable clip of the sweet gesture Jack did for his new wife after their ceremony. Heading outside to be covered in white confetti, Jack ran out in front of Hanni to pick up the train on her dress and lay it out for photos. Elsewhere pictures showed the utterly stunning interior of the cathedral for the ceremony, as well as a small orchestra playing music for arrivals. After the cathedral ceremony, guests got into a vintage red double-decker bus to travel to the venue for the evening celebrations - where everyone partied until 1am. Jack's Celebrity Big Brother co-star Chris Hughes was among the guests, and gave an insight into the menu for the meal, which consisted of burata, lemon and thyme chicken and cheesecake. Guests enjoyed their meal in a stunning high-ceiling venue featuring arches and stained glass windows, with beautiful white flower bouquets on each table. They were also greeted with individual goodie bags at their seats in elegant white gift bags. Jack and Hanni were seen arm-in-arm as they took to the white dancefloor later in the evening for their first dance as husband and wife, with a band playing behind them. As the newlyweds and their guests partied late into the night, actress Samia Longchambon really let her hair down and seen dancing while on her husband Sylvain's shoulders on the dancer floor. Earlier in the day, Jack had arrived in a red mustang with his mother and his son Reuben, who he shares with his ex Lauren Shippey. Several of Jack's soap co-stars were among the guests - and actor Andy Whyment even took to the stage to sing a few songs as the celebrations went on into the night Elsewhere pictures showed the utterly stunning interior of the cathedral for the ceremony, as well as a small orchestra playing music for arrivals A group of Coronation Street actors were seen sitting on the top of the vintage bus as they made their way to the evening party Hanni arrived shortly after, and looked gorgeous in an elegant white gown, with lace detail and a long trail. Fellow Corrie star Lucy Fallon, who plays David's niece Bethany Platt, turned heads in a plunging yellow gown, teamed with gold strappy heels. Tina O'Brien, who plays his sister Sarah, looked typically chic in a plunging blue and white gown, while his on-screen wife Julia Goulding opted for a turquoise number. Other Corrie stars in attendance included Samia Longchambon, Colson Smith, Ben Price, Alan Halsall and Jayne Danson. Jack, who won Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, previously revealed he took part in the show in order to pay for the wedding. A source previously told The Sun the pair were going all out to make sure it was their 'dream day'. 'Jack and Hanni are having their big white wedding at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday,' a source said. 'They have gone all out to make sure it's their dream day and there has been no expensed spared.' 'It's a very grand setting getting wed at the cathedral, and it will be packed with guests, including many of Jack's Corrie co-stars.' It came after Hanni got wedding ready during a girls' day out at The Ivy restaurant for her hen party earlier this month. Hanni, who was a colleague of Jack's as a storyline writer and researcher on Corrie, looked stunning in a high-neck white lace mini-dress as she danced the night away to live music. It came after she enjoyed lunch and cocktails at The Ivy, where she posed for snaps with her pals and drank from a giant 'Bride' straw - with her hens all wearing Jack masks. Taking to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Hanni also revealed that she and Jack had been at a lesson for their first dance, as she shared a mirror selfie of the pair in a studio captioned: 'Hungover but dancing through as Mrs Shepherd to be.' She captioned her hen party snaps: 'The non hen party party, two weeks before the wedding. 25 years of a special friendship with these beautiful girlies, how lucky are we. 'I love you all so much, thank you for throwing me a non hen party party it was perfect. The next time I see you I'll be walking down the aisle.'
