Aston Villa enquire about Lens' Neil El Aynaoui

Yahoo27-05-2025
Interest in RC Lens midfielder Neil El Aynaoui (23) is growing, with Aston Villa the latest side to be linked with a move for the Moroccan, as per Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Les Sang et Or have sold off many of their most bankable assets over the past 12 months. Elye Wahi was the first high-profile name to leave the club when he joined Olympique de Marseille in the summer. He was followed out of the door by the likes of Brice Samba, Abdukodir Khusanov, Przemyslaw Frankowski, and Kevin Danso later in the season.

The sales won't stop there either. Facundo Medina is touted for a summer departure, and he will be allowed to leave the club in the event of a suitable offer. El Aynaoui, who almost joined AS Monaco last summer before failing his medical, does now look likely to leave this time around.
Juventus have been linked with a move for the Morocco youth international, and Aston Villa are now the latest team to have made an enquiry about his services. As they have been with their other bankable assets, Lens will be open to a transfer, at the right price.

£25m agreement opens door for SPECIAL winger to join Liverpool

Liverpool could be preparing an exciting move before the transfer window shuts close. Even though there have been a lot of new faces arriving at Anfield, Richard Hughes isn't just done yet. LFC x adidas Shop the goalkeeper range today LFC x adidas Shop the new adidas range today! Meanwhile, the club continues to work on recruiting Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi. But the duo may not the only potential new signings before the September first deadline. While Liverpool have already brought in a lot of new players, it's also important to note that a lot of players have left. From Trent Alexander-Arnold to Caoimhin Kelleher, Jarell Quansah, Tyler Morton, Luis Diaz to Darwin Nunez. Now the latest departure from the club is expected to be Ben Doak. Liverpool have agreed a £25m move to sell him to Bournemouth as per The Guardian. 🔴 Doak was on the bench at Wembley, so he was considered to be part of Arne Slot's plans. This is because Liverpool have lost three senior attackers this summer, and have only brought in Hugo Ekitike so far. Florian Wirtz could play in an attacking position but that's not the role he was signed for. Alexander Isak may be brought in. But even his arrival will leave Liverpool at least one player short compared to last season. And that's before we even start to think about the possibility of Federico Chiesa leaving. So, given Doak's departure, the doors have definitely opened for Liverpool to not just sign Isak and Guehi but a winger as well. DaveOCKOP seems to confirm this, with an exclusive report Liverpool are looking at wingers in the £60-70m range. Who might that winger be? Well, one player who a Liverpool move might now be open for is Yankuba Minteh. Liverpool wanted to sign him last summer. He has worked with Arne Slot in the past, while he went out on loan to Feyenoord during the 2023/24 season and actually thrived under the Dutchman. Minteh has had an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League. He was nominated for the Player of the Month at one point, and finished the season with seven goal contributions in his last 14 starts. His speed and his work rate makes him the perfect player for Liverpool's system. While he predominantly plays as a right-winger, he can also play as a left-winger. Crucially, The Gambia did not qualify for AFCON this year, so he'll be available when Salah leaves in December to compete at the tournament. Minteh is a special talent, and someone Slot and Liverpool both clearly rate highly. With Doak's departure, the doors are now ajar for him to join the Reds.

Bournemouth FC: Antoine Semenyo kicks off his season with a brace against Liverpool

The Ghanaian forward makes a statement on opening day despite the Cherries' defeat at Anfield. Bournemouth FC: Antoine Semenyo kicks off his season with a brace against Liverpool Antoine Semenyo netted twice against Liverpool this Friday, August 15, 2025, at Anfield, on the opening day of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Despite Bournemouth's 4-2 defeat, the Ghanaian winger stood out with his blistering pace and clinical finishing. Antoine Semenyo delivered a standout performance in his first match of the 2025-26 season. The 25-year-old Ghanaian winger was the driving force behind Bournemouth's spectacular comeback attempt in a match that seemed lost after goals from Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo. Liverpool, reigning champions, assert their ambitions against Bournemouth Liverpool quickly established a comfortable lead in this season opener, thanks to Hugo Ekitike, who marked his Premier League debut with a goal and an assist. The Frenchman opened the scoring in the 37th minute before setting up Cody Gakpo for the second goal in the 49th. Antoine Semenyo's response began in the 64th minute, latching onto a pinpoint cross from David Brooks. The Ghana international slotted the ball home to reduce the deficit and reignite his team's hopes. That goal energized Bournemouth, and the Cherries began to believe in a miracle. Semenyo's second goal will be remembered as one of the finest of this opening round. In the 78th minute, he won the ball deep in his own half and embarked on a dazzling solo run of over 70 meters, finishing with a low drive that left Alisson rooted to the spot. Sadly for Andoni Iraola's men, that stunning equaliser wasn't enough. Liverpool regained the lead through Federico Chiesa in the 88th minute, before Mohamed Salah sealed the result in stoppage time. Semenyo's performance continues his run of strong showings at Anfield. He now boasts the remarkable feat of having scored half of Bournemouth's Premier League goals at this legendary stadium—three out of the Cherries' six strikes.
