His opinion is that San Francisco 49ers legend Joe Montana is the best quarterback of all-time. He also took the opportunity to fire a shot at Brady in the process of making his pick.
"Tom Brady was pretty good too but he had deflated balls," Marino said.
Bringing up one of the dark moments of Brady's career was clear shade. Marino may have said it in good fun, but it was still a shot nonetheless.
Montana is always mentioned as one of the top quarterbacks of all-time. He certainly belongs on that list, but Brady has more accolades attached to his name.
In Montana's career, he won four Super Bowls and was named the NFL MVP twice. Those are impressive accolades, but Brady has him beat.
Granted, they played in very different eras. Brady played in a league that focused on the passing game, while Montana played when the running game was a much bigger focus than it has become today.
Throughout his NFL career, Brady played in 335 games. He completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 89,214 yards, 649 touchdowns, and 212 interceptions.

On the other hand, Montana threw for 40,551 yards, 273 touchdowns, and 139 interceptions, while completing 63.2 percent of his passes.
Marino has now made his thoughts on the debate crystal clear. He's rolling with Montana, but there is still a large general belief that Brady is deserving of the title.
At the very least, Marino's opinion will open up the debate again and provide entertainment to football fans who want to argue about the all-time quarterback rankings.

He was one of 50 average fans who got the chance to compete against the pros for the top prize of $1 million, and he finished in third place to win a 2003-04 LeBron James rookie chrome refractor card, last valued at $250,000. Dennish later traded the card to Brady for $250,000 cash, plus a signed Brady card and jersey. Brady said he would give $5,000 to every fan who competed and donate the rest of his earnings to charity. Tom Brady Captures Another Title, Wins Inaugural Fanatics Games and $1M Prize
Tom Brady is a champion once again. The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback won the inaugural Fanatics Games at this weekend's Fanatics Fest in New York, earning him a $1 million prize. The all-time great was among 100 celebrities, athletes and fans to compete in the Fantatics Games, which consisted of eight competitions. The eight competitions consisted of activities from different sports, such as quarterback skills, basketball shooting, soccer goal-scoring and baseball pitching accuracy, among other competitions. One of the other competitions was a WWE Superstar entrance. In his WWE Superstar entrance, Brady spat on New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner jersey and ripped former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's jersey. Manning later interrupted his entrance, jumping on top of him. That entrance helped Brady earn 399.1 total points in the Fanatics Games. Manning was also one of the athletes who participated, finishing in fifth with 314.5 total points as Brady was able to get some revenge over the quarterback who defeated him in two Super Bowls. Brady, a FOX Sports employee, collected his $1 million prize at the Javits Center on Sunday. However, he awarded $5,000 to each of the 50 fans who participated in the Fanatics Games, while the rest of that money will go to charity. Brady's participation in the Fanatics Games was just one of the few viral moments he had from Fanatics Fest over the weekend. Matt Dennish, a 39-year-old teacher from Pennsylvania, finished with 326 points to place third in the competition. He outscored athletes such as James Harden, Tyreek Hill, Dwight Howard, Gronkowski, Michael Chandler and Micah Parsons, who all finished in the top 20 of the athletes who competed in the event. Harden dressed as Hulk Hogan for his WWE entrance. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was also among the athletes who participated, struggling in the pitching accuracy competition. He finished 36th in the competition. Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star Travis Hunter had the worst showing among the athletes who competed at the event, while new Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant finished with the second-worst mark. The NBA asked celebrities and star athletes what Game 7 makes them think of, and some of the responses got right to the point. 'Kobe,' soccer legend David Beckham said. 'What do I think?? I think Lakers 2010 — Pau (Gasol) and Kobe," tennis star Carlos Alcaraz said. Another tennis great, Novak Djokovic, said he thought of Lakers-Celtics in 2010 and the Cleveland-Golden State finale where LeBron James and Kyrie Irving came up big late for the Cavaliers in 2016.
