It's been a lengthy seven-year hiatus since Helen Flanagan took maternity leave from Coronation Street, and the suspense is mounting among fans eager to see if she'll ever make her way back to the beloved ITV soap.
While she hasn't officially resigned, whispers are circulating that Helen might be gearing up for a sensational comeback.
The Manchester-born actress, 34, has been notorious as the scheming Rosie Webster on Corrie since 2000, stepping away after nearly two decades to raise her children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and three year old Charlie with former partner Scott Sinclair.

Beyond her role as a single mother, Helen has kept herself in the limelight through modelling and influencing, not to mention securing deals with major reality TV shows like I'm a Celebrity and Celebs Go Dating.
But it seems the allure of reality fame is waning for Helen, as a close source revealed to The Sun that she's yearning for the stability of a regular gig and has even discussed a potential return to the cobbles with a Coronation Street executive.
"She has had enough of reality TV and would like a regular job," the insider confided to The Sun, hinting at Helen's recent talks about a possible comeback.
Yet, the source also noted that while Helen may be ready for her return, the timing might not align perfectly with the show's current storylines. "Her character wouldn't currently feed into any plots that are playing out," the insider clarified, reports the Mirror.
Last month, Helen openly expressed her desire to rejoin the cast of Coronation Street during an exclusive interview with the Mirror, enthusiastically stating: "I'd absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street, I really, really would."
While soap bosses reportedly commented that her character isn't a right fit at this time, Helen Flanagan still pitched us her visions for Rosie Webster's return. "I'd love to see Rosie Webster come back as a single mum, having just left her partner," she opined, adding: "She'd dump her two kids with Sally and I think she would be an iconic barmaid at Rovers Return."

With some quality time spent away from the spotlight to focus on family, Helen expressed that now is a prime moment for a celebrated comeback to her local roots.
"I'm at home in Bolton which means I will be able to work around the kids," the actress confided, noting a shift from her past routine where she would relocate every few years, often resisting the pull towards London.
As Helen contemplates a reunion with her on-screen family, she's also candid about coping with personal challenges post-split from Scott - confessing that she's facing severe financial stress.
Earlier in the month, Helen disclosed she had to put her eight-bedroom property on the market, a shared investment with her footballer ex, as she could no longer manage its expenses.
Her financial woes are compounded as both her and Scott's income appears to have waned, and recent events saw her caught in a dual speeding infraction with her Audi in June 2024. The subsequent January court appearance saw Helen appeal to the magistrate, lamenting that she'd "basically had no money."
