‘Superman' Trailer: Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult Fight for David Corenswet's Attention in DC Reboot from James Gunn
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's the dawn of a new day for the Superman IP. James Gunn is giving his take on the iconic character with his DC feature 'Superman,' starring David Corenswet as the title character.
Gunn, who is the co-CEO of DC Studios with Peter Safran, wrote the feature which is decidedly not an origin story about Clark Kent embracing his alienhood to save the world. There will be plenty of world saving, but he is already well known to his colleague and love interest Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) and nemesis Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult).

'We just start in the middle of the action,' Gunn previously told TheWrap. 'Superman already exists. Lois and Clark already know each other. Lex hates Superman's guts from the beginning, although they don't know each other personally. So we start right in the middle of the action.'
'Superman' is among the latest DC installments, which also includes the return of the 'Peacemaker' series for Max.
Warner Bros. Pictures will release 'Superman' in theaters on July 11. Check out the trailer below.

Following the success of Black Panther and Creed, director Ryan Coogler returns with Sinners, an original vampire thriller. Set in 1930s Mississippi and starring Michael B. When I was working on Creed in 2015, he passed away. I had already made a film about the Bay with Fruitvale [Station], I was making a movie about Philly, I made a couple of movies about Wakanda, and now I'm coming back home in a different way. I'm looking at the American South, which is, outside of the continent of Africa, where Black people call home.' Though it tackles themes of Black displacement, resistance, and resilience, Sinners also makes space for humor, tenderness, and lots of blood. 'At first I thought Sinners was going to be a small genre film, but [the more] I learned I was like, 'Oh, this thing has to actually be massive' for it to feel right, to do it justice,' Coogler told IndieWire. There is yet to be confirmation on where you'll be able to stream Sinners for free in the UK (well, free once you've paid for your subscription of course...). In the US, the film will stream on Max this year, but it's not clear what that means for its UK distribution In the meantime, viewers can buy or rent the film at home on Prime Video, Apple TV+ and all other digital retailers. Peacemaker season 2 trailer seems to embrace the Multiverse as John Cena's antihero meets his doppelganger

A new trailer for Peacemaker season 2 has arrived - and it's already packing in cameos, surprises, and major teases about what's to come as the fan favorite streaming series returns. In the brief clip, which can be viewed below, we see John Cena suit up once again as Peacemaker for an interview with the Justice League, specifically with Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord, Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern Guy Gardner. But things don't go exactly as planned. Have a look: Along with the appearance of the Justice League, we learn that the season will focus on Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr. hunting down Peacemaker for killing his son back in The Suicide Squad. We get some flashes of heavy action, some heartfelt moments with the cast, and a hilarious introduction to some new characters. But that's not all - the trailer ends with Peacemaker passing through what appears to be a doorway to another reality to confront another version of himself from the Multiverse. Could this be the mechanism that brings together the continuity of the recently relaunched DC Studios with the previous version? Or is this something else entirely, a misdirection? The returning cast includes Freddie Stroma's Adrian Chase, Steve Agee as John Economos, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Danielle Brooks' Leota Adebayo. We also have Tim Meadows, Sol Rodriguez, David Denman, and Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr. - who, if you might recall, has some unfinished business with Peacemaker. The overhaul and new slate of projects had some fans worried that Peacemaker wouldn't make the cut, but the hero fits right in DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. James Gunn says Peacemaker season 2 has a "really, really, really big cameo" as he teases key connections between the HBO show and the upcoming Superman

All eyes might be in Superman right now as it is the first movie in the new DC Universe (DCU), but James Gunn is already teasing many surprises and cameos for the upcoming Peacemaker season 2. The show is set to return in August after a three-year hiatus. According to the DC boss, that big gap in between seasons has allowed him to weave the story into the DCU in a more organic way. "I developed it along the way, in conjunction with the other DC projects that we're doing, so it's very much connected to Superman and it's very much connected to what comes after," Gunn told Entertainment Weekly. "I had a rough idea of what I was going to do, but it was actually quite different than what the show ended up being," he added. The first Peacemaker season 2 trailer already revealed some unexpected cameos from the new Superman, including Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, and Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord. They are not the only ones, though. "You've seen what we call the QUC, the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, in the first season of Peacemaker, and we see more about that technology in Superman," Gunn explains about the connections between the HBO show and Superman, revealing that "the QUC is the center of the story in Peacemaker season 2". "We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman. There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show," he teased. Could that big cameo also be from Superman? Could it be Superman himself, or even Supergirl? Or is it perhaps related to the old DCEU? We will have to wait and see how DC Studios' grand plans in DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters unfold. As for the plot for Peacemaker season 2, Gunn also revealed that the story will follow John Cena's hero while he struggles to be taken seriously among the superhero community. "We come into season 2 with Peacemaker knowing that he saved the world from the Butterflies. He thinks he's a big star now, and he should be a real superhero. And we see at the very beginning of episode 1 that he's meeting with the group of superheroes from Superman, and he's basically interviewing for membership in the group. But they just mock him the entire time, so he's not taken seriously," he said. Peacemaker season 2 will be released on August 21, 2025.
