Expedite Prajavani grievances resolution: RR Collector to officials
This was revealed recently during the Prajavani, a weekly program being held to facilitate the people with a single window platform to get their grievances addressed in the presence of senior officials.
A total number of 70 complaints were received during a Prajavani program being held at the district Collectorate.
Although there are several other grievances being received by the officials during the Prajavani, revenue related pleas top the list.
Out of a total number of 70 grievances, the officials said, 39 were pertaining to the revenue department. Six pleas were related to municipal issues, 9 are linked to Education, 6 to Board of intermediate, 3 related to pensions, 2 to Panchayat Raj, 2 to Police Department, one each linked to Agriculture and Housing etc.
District Collector C. Narayan Reddy asked the officials concerned to prioritize the grievances received during the Prajavani program. 'The officials should investigate the issues thoroughly and resolve the same without leaving a scope of pendency,' said the Collector.
'The risk associated with the usage of fertilizers should be brought to the notice of farmers as it contains high amounts of chemicals,' stated the collector.
During the meeting, the officials also discussed the Vana Mahotsav, a plantation carnival aimed to increase the green cover in the district besides the pending targets under the Indiramma housing scheme. The Collector asked the officials from different departments to take up the plantation drive and complete the construction of houses under Indiramma Housing in the district.

The High Court of Karnataka has directed the State government to create a central integrated geospatial platform combining data of all types of lands, including Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) or Bhu-Aadhaar and digitised data of forests by geo-tagging of all forest lands along with their demarcated boundaries as per historical gazette notifications. Also, the court directed for setting up an inter-departmental land dispute resolution cell (IDLDRC), directly working under the supervision of the Chief Secretary and comprising representatives from departments of revenue, forest, urban planning authorities, to mediate and issue binding inter-departmental orders on the issue of conflicting land records. Automatic conflict alerts The central platform should have an automated system to streamline all land-related applications to ensure that no land-related action is taken without the mandatory, real-time verification against the unified land database. For example, the court said, the Deputy Commissioners or planning authorities, would have to be legally barred from processing any land conversion or layout sanction applications until the automated system performs a check against the integrated forest map. If a parcel of land falls within a forest boundary, the system must automatically reject the application and generate a 'conflict alert' for all the departments concerned, and the office of the sub-registrars should get alert to prevent registration of any sale deed of such land. The online portal for building plan approvals would also be required to be integrated with this system to automatically verify that the land is legally converted and free from disputes, the court said. Devanahalli land Justice Suraj Govindaraj issued the series of directions while dealing with a dispute over certain lands situated in Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru as the Forest Department has issued notice Mohammed Shoaib and other land owners, who have already formed layouts by securing statuary approvals from the Bangalore International Airport Planning Authority. These lands had changed several private individuals' hands between 1930s and 1970s. The court said that State Forest Department has to prepare maps of forests using high-resolution satellite imagery from agencies like the Forest Survey of India and the Indian Space Research Organisation and integrate the maps with ULPIN. Mobile app for public Using data from this central platform, a portal and a mobile app should be created for public to get a comprehensive colour-coded reports on land-use classification, ownership history (mutation records), details of litigation, encumbrances, warning if land falls in the boundary of forest or reserved for public purposes, by entering survey numbers or other identifiable details. 'This transparency mechanism of giving access to public would serve as a powerful deterrent to fraud, enabling citizens to perform their own due diligence and effectively acting as a 'fraud alert' for every future buyer,' the court said. The court directed the government to set up a high-level committee (HLC), comprising officers from Chief Secretary's office, to implement these directions in a phased manner spread over two years.

Over 2 lakh Indiramma houses under construction across Telangana: Minister Ponguleti
The State government's commitment to providing affordable housing to the poor is evident in the Indiramma housing scheme, with over 2 lakh houses currently under construction across the State, said Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed conference hall and modernised office chambers at Telangana Housing Corporation Limited (TGHCL) headquarters here on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy stressed the government's efforts to revamp the corporation. 'The government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is committed to providing houses to the poor, and we are showing it through our actions, not just words,' he said. The Minister urged government employees to work together to make the Indiramma housing scheme a success. He also assured that the government would provide good facilities to the staff working in the Housing Corporation and strengthen their capabilities. Mr. Reddy stated that despite adverse economic conditions, the government is committed to making payments to beneficiaries every Monday and would continue this system in the future. TGHCL Managing Director V.P. Gautam highlighted the corporation's efforts to revamp its operations, including the appointment of Assistant Engineers in districts and utilising the services of officers from other departments as required. MLA Vemula Veeresham and Housing Corporation staff were present.

Govt. sanctions ₹150 crore for Sammakka-Sarakka Jatara 2026
The State government has sanctioned ₹150 crore for the conduct of the Sammakka-Sarakka (Saralamma) Medaram Maha Jatara, scheduled to be held from January 28 to 31, 2026, in Mulugu district. The Tribal Welfare department issued orders ( dated August 19, 2025) releasing the funds from the 2025–26 budget estimates under the head 'Works under Medaram Jatara'. The funds will be utilised for infrastructure development, including roads, permanent structures, drinking water supply, electricity and sanitation. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), who represents the Mulugu Assembly constituency, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Tribal Welfare Minister Adluru Laxman Kumar for approving the funds. 'This decision is a symbol of respect for the tribal community. The sanction of ₹150 crore reflects the commitment of the government towards tribals. This year's Jatara will be held on a grander and historic scale,' Minister Seethakka said. Held once every two years at Medaram in SS Tadvai mandal in Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary, the Sammakka-Sarakka Jatara also known as 'Kumbh Mela of the South' attracts millions of devotees, mainly tribals from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Odisha. The government allocates special funds to manage infrastructure, health services, drinking water, sanitation and crowd management during the festival.
