'Kannappa' leaked: Vishnu Manchu asks fans to say no to piracy after the Prabhas-Askhay Kumar starrer faces online leak

Vishnu Manchu's 'Kannappa', is basking in success with a good response from the audience flocking to theatres to experience the mythological epic. However, the film has unfortunately also fallen prey to piracy.
Just days after its theatrical release, the film was illegally circulated online, making Vishnu appeal to audiences not to encourage piracy.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, the actor-producer addressed that more than 30,000 illegal links had already been taken down. Expressing his disappointment and frustration over the situation, he wrote, "Dear movie lovers, #Kannappa is under attack from piracy.
Over 30,000 illegal links have already been taken down. This is heartbreaking."
He further said that piracy is no less than stealing, he added, "Piracy is theft — plain and simple. We don't teach our children to steal. Watching pirated content is no different. Please don't encourage it. Support cinema the right way. Har Har Mahadev."
The film tells the story of Thinnadu, a valiant warrior who transforms into the ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva, becoming the revered 'Kannappa'.

'Kannappa' box office collection Day 4: Vishnu Manchu-Prabhas-Akshay Kumar's mythological epic mints Rs 2.5 crore on Monday; makes Rs 25.90 crore after its first weekend

After opening to a positive reception from audiences and earning praise for its emotional second half and powerful star cameos of Prabhas , Akshay Kumar , Mohanlal, the film entered its first Monday with an expected dip, but held on well given the weekday scenario. Kannappa Movie Review According to early estimates from trade analyst Sacnilk, 'Kannappa' made Rs 2.5 crore on its first Monday, bringing its total collection over four days to Rs 25.90 crore. The mythological epic premiered in theatres on Friday, June 27. It started strong, earning Rs 9.35 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 7.15 crore on Saturday and Rs 6.9 crore on Sunday. Occupancy trend Although the film experienced a typical drop in numbers on Monday, 'Kannappa' continued to attract good audiences, especially for its Telugu version, due to its cultural appeal. In Tamil-speaking regions, the film had an overall occupancy of 11.38%. The turnout throughout the day was fairly balanced: 10.74% in the morning, 12.08% in the afternoon, 9.41% in the evening, and 13.28% during the night shows.
