The football icon, 40, finally popped the question after almost a decade and two children later. They have long faced questions as to when they would finally walk down the aisle, with Cristiano now making the all important move. The couple had teased fans with a potential engagement after Georgina, 31, was spotted with a huge diamond on her finger. Neither had officially confirmed or denied if it was an engagement ring, with Cristiano revealed he hadn't asked for her hand in marriage because the timing wasn't 'quite right'. The couple racked up thousands of compliments and congratulations from their fans, while others had plenty to say on the ring. Georgina flashed a massive diamond that took up almost half of her ring finger. It featured one stunning stone that glistened on the white bedsheets while Cristiano place his hand underneath. Talk quickly turned to the price of the stunning jewel as one said: "For how much? That must have cost a backpack." Others were more taken aback by the size of the ring as someone exclaimed: "That rock." Another went further as they added: "A glacier!" Someone else commented: "Incredible, had to be the best in the world." A fifth joked: "Pretty small diamond." While one fan took issue with the practical side of things as they shared: "The ring is too big, it will make you uncomfortable when washing dishes." Another quipped: "Surely that's AI?! Who in their mind wants a boulder on their finger?!" "Surely that's photoshopped. I've no doubt he can afford something that big but WHY?!," wrote someone else. "This isn't coming from a place of jealousy that ring is too much," shared a social media user. Despite the criticism, Georgina seemed thrilled with the ring as she said: "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives." On her Netflix reality show I Am Georgina, she revealed her friends are always asking about wedding plans. She admitted: "They're always joking about the wedding. 'When is the wedding?' Since Jennifer Lopez's song The Ring Or When came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me." The couple met at a Gucci store in 2016, with the ex-Manchester United superstar admitting that it was a case of love at first sight. "She's a fantastic person. Yes, it is [true love]. Yes, it was [like magic meeting for the first time]. Gio is part of me. She helps me so much.," he told Piers Morgan in an interview in 2019. "Of course, I'm in love with her. She's the mum of my kids. I'm so passionate for her. She's my friend, we have conversations. I open my heart to her. "She opened her heart to me. [She's the greatest love of my life]... Why not [get married]. Not now! Not in this interview. Why not, one day... We'll one day, for sure. It's my mum's dream." When celebrating Georgina's birthday earlier this year, Cristiano appeared to hint he had taken that next step. Every day from 2 to 5pm, Sonic offers three $1 items: a corndog, two-piece mozzarella sticks, and a soft pretzel twist. On Mondays, customers can pair these snacks with a 99-cent slush. Those visiting other days get 50 percent off drinks or Slush purchases from 2 to 4pm. And on Thursdays, Sonic serves up a Buy One, Get One Free Footlong Quarter Pound Coney deal. All offers, plus app-exclusive specials, are available at Sonic's 3,500 locations nationwide. Sonic's summer deals come just as the chain brings back fan-favorite Crispy Tender Wraps, priced at $1.99 on its FUN.99 menu — days before McDonald's relaunched its controversial Snack Wraps .
