ITV axe primetime drama starring Martin Clunes after just one series
Out There premiered earlier this year and saw Clunes play the role of a father trying to protect his son after getting involved in a network of drug dealers.
Last week, Clunes spoke about the series' future, sharing: "We were keen on doing a second series but ITV aren't, it seems.
"It didn't quite pull the numbers they wanted, unfortunately."

According to The Sun, the low viewing figures were a surprise as Out There was produced by production company Buffalo Pictures, which has had past success.
Buffalo Pictures has previously worked on hit shows, Manhunt and Doc Martin, which Clunes starred in.
Confirming that Out There would not return, an ITV spokesperson said: "We are really proud of Out There and would like to thank Martin and the production team for delivering a brilliant series.
'We do always hope to see our series return, and we are sorry we didn't get this drama to connect with a big enough audience to see that happen.'
Out There was a six-part series that explored the problem of drug dealers working in rural areas and crossing county lines.

On the show, Clunes played Nathan Williams, a man who runs a farm which has been in his family for generations.
Alongside Clunes, the series starred Louis Ashbourne Serkis, who is the son of actors Andy Serkis and Lorraine Ashbourne.
The ITV series also starred Mark Lewis Jones, who is best known for appearing in Keeping Faith, The Lighthouse, Gangs of London and The Good Liar.

An inmate who was mistakenly released from a New Orleans jail has been captured following a nearly monthlong manhunt, authorities announced Wednesday. Khalil Bryan, 30, was released from the Orleans Justice Center on July 25 due to a "human failure" that led to two deputies being fired, according to the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office. He was "safely apprehended" in Texas after an anonymous tip led to "critical information on his whereabouts," the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office said. Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans said the tip was "immediately processed by our liaisons with the US Marshals Gulf State Violent Offender Task Force and through their network with partnering agencies" and Bryan was arrested Wednesday morning. Crimestoppers had been offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to his capture. Bryan will be transported back to New Orleans to face pending charges, the sheriff's office said. At the time of his mistaken release, Bryan was being held on charges including possession of stolen property, drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer, according to the New Orleans Police Department. He also has an active warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse, child endangerment and home invasion, it said. Bryan was erroneously released when he was confused with another inmate with the same last name during the jail's overnight release process and his identity was not properly verified, according to the sheriff's office. The human error was "compounded by inadequate protocol adherence," it said. Five staff members were also suspended "due to procedural failures and negligence" during the identity verification process, it said. "The people of New Orleans deserve a secure and accountable jail system," Hutson said Wednesday. "While this erroneous release happened due to human failure, we have held those responsible accountable and we have taken responsibility and put safeguards in place." The Orleans Justice Center is the same jail where 10 inmates escaped in May. One remains on the lam.

Horrifying new details emerge in case of dad suspected of killing three daughters as cops fear he fled to Canada
As an extensive manhunt continues for a Washington father accused of killing his three young daughters, investigators have released disturbing new details they say link him to the murders. Travis Decker, a 32-year-old U.S. Army veteran, has been on the run since May 30, when he vanished along with his daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5. He is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. The bodies of the three girls were discovered on June 2 near their father's abandoned pickup at Rock Island Campground in Chelan County. But Decker was nowhere to be found. A medical examiner previously determined that the girls each died of asphyxiation, and their deaths were ruled homicides. On Tuesday, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office released grim details about the condition in which they were found. 'Two of the victims each had two separate bags over their heads and the third victim had three separate bags over their head,' the release states. 'In addition, several cable ties were located on the ground in the immediate area of the bodies.' Authorities had previously revealed that a bloody handprint found on the tailgate of Decker's truck matched his DNA profile, further tying him to the crime scene. Investigators again stressed on Tuesday that Decker is their only suspect, pointing to new DNA evidence allegedly linking him to all of the plastic bags used to suffocated his daughters and to one of the zip ties recovered at the scene. 'The completion of this DNA analysis provides additional evidence that indicates Travis Decker is the only suspect involved in committing these homicides,' the sheriff's office said. The tragic killings occurred after Decker had been granted a court-approved visit with his daughters. When he failed to return them to their mother Whitney Decker, she reported the girls missing, triggering a frantic search. Last fall, Decker's ex-wife had reportedly petitioned a court to modify their parental custody plan, claiming he had mental health issues and often lived out of his truck. The search for Decker has since stretched across multiple states over the past three months. Investigators say the Army veteran is trained in wilderness survival, a skill that may have helped him evade capture. Decker served in the Army from 2013 to 2021. He was deployed to Afghanistan for four months in 2014, and was an automatic rifleman with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington from 2014 to 2016. A U.S. Marshals Service affidavit also revealed he had allegedly searched 'how to relocate to Canada' online before the murders, fueling fears he may have fled across the border. Possible sightings of Decker have been reported twice – first on June 10 along Highway 97 in Washington and later on July 5 in Idaho's Sawtooth National Forest. Both were ultimately ruled out. 'At this time, we do not have any evidence to suggest Travis Decker is either alive or deceased,' the sheriff's office. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Attacker Stabs Colorado Park Ranger and Flees
An attacker stabbed a wildlife ranger at a Colorado state park outside Denver on Tuesday morning and ran away, setting off a manhunt and leading officials to evacuate the park, the authorities said. The ranger, who was working at Staunton State Park at the time, was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries, said Kara Van Hoose, a spokeswoman for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
