Response to ‘Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' positive, says Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister Subhash

The Hindu23-07-2025
Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister Vasamsetty Subhash has said that the government's 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' programme is receiving encouraging feedback from the people.
Addressing the media at the State Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Subhash said that during his visit to nine constituencies under the programme, people widely appreciated the development and welfare initiatives of the NDA government.
The State had attracted investments worth ₹6 lakh crore, laying the foundation for 10 lakh job opportunities, he said. Of this, ₹20,000 crore had already come through the IT sector, with a potential to create 50,000 jobs. He alleged that the opposition party leaders were deliberately trying to disrupt the progress.
Mr. Subhash mentioned about the successful implementation of schemes such as MSME, aimed at nurturing entrepreneurs in every household, and P4, which supported economically weaker families. He also said that the government had laid pothole-free roads at a cost of ₹1,200 crore.
Under the Thalliki Vandanam scheme, financial aid was being directly credited to the mothers' bank accounts. Pensions and ration cards were being distributed to all eligible citizens, he said.
Refuting allegations of job scam at Amalapuram, Mr. Subhash said he had no links with the accused and urged stringent legal action against the culprits.

NDA VP pick to get 'unconditional' support from Shiv Sena

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra deputy CM Eknath Shinde on Wednesday announced Shiv Sena's "unconditional support" to NDA's candidate for vice-president, potentially setting the line for other alliance partners to follow and increase the chances of BJP getting one of its own appointed to the constitutional position after the Sept 9 election. On a visit to Delhi, Shinde made the announcement after meeting home minister Amit Shah at his Parliament office. The election for the VP post has been necessitated following the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar last month. Shinde also met PM Narendra Modi and congratulated him on the success of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev. The twin interactions were seen as significant. Sources said that the meeting attested to his equations with the BJP brass, with which it engineered the downfall of the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA govt in 2022. Shinde said the 'Mahayuti' - alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP - would fight local body elections in Maharashtra together. He was accompanied by his wife Lata, son Shrikant and daughter-in-law Vru-shali as the family gifted a photograph of Lord Shiva to the PM. Shinde said Modi praised his son, who got the opportunity to lead a multi-party delegation to convey India's message of zero tolerance to terrorism. Shinde also rejected suggestions that his frequent visits to Delhi were linked to 'differences' with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, saying they were working together for development. Shinde also said he and his party MPs congratulated Shah on becoming India's longest-serving home minister.

Telangana seeks Central aid for industrial parks in Madhira constituency

Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka and industries minister D Sridhar Babu on Wednesday met Union MSME minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in New Delhi and urged him to extend Central aid for two industrial parks in the Madhira constituency, and 119 MSME parks in all the assembly constituencies in Telangana. The Telangana govt sought prior approval from the Centre to submit project proposals under the MSME-CDP (Cluster Development Programme) for financial assistance to develop these parks. "Proposals have been submitted to set up industrial parks in Yendapally (Madhira mandal) and Remidicherla (Errupalem mandal) in Khammam district. Plans have been drawn up to develop these parks in 85 acres and 60 acres, respectively. The locations are strategically significant due its proximity to NH 65 (Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor) and have excellent connectivity to nearby towns, railway networks, and ports," Bhatti informed the Union minister. These parks are being designed to support various manufacturing sectors and are expected to generate at least 5,000 direct and 15,000 indirect employment opportunities," Bhatti further said. "We are expecting Central financial support under the MSME-CDP scheme. The MSME parks will include hostels, kitchens, toilets, testing centres, and other common facilities. Business development, product innovation, and market strategy services will also be made available. Support will be extended to women-led enterprises through the Streenidhi scheme, providing loan assistance to empower such units and expand livelihood opportunities for women," Bhatti said. Currently, under the MSME-CDP scheme, the Telangana govt is already implementing 25 projects with the support of the Union MSME ministry. These include industrial parks, flatted factory complexes, and Common Facility Centres (CFCs), all of which are playing a key role in strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the state. Telangana is seeking Central assistance under the relevant schemes to establish dedicated MSME parks in each Assembly constituency. Through these progressive initiatives, the Deputy CM and industries minister expressed confidence that Telangana will emerge as a key contributor toward India's vision of achieving a $30 trillion economy.
