WWE legend Charles Robinson rushed to hospital after animal attack
A beloved WWE legend had to be taken to hospital this week after being bitten by a bat.
Veteran wrestling referee Charles Robinson, who has been with the company since 2001, revealed on Wednesday that he was rushed to the emergency room after he was attacked by the wild animal.
The 61-year-old star shared a photo from his hospital bed, alongside a video of himself wincing in pain as he got one of his injections.
Charles captioned the post: 'Great way to start the morning. 2:00am and got bit by a bat. That's right a bat! 4 hours later in the ER and six shots. #animalattacks #hospital'
The longtime wrestling official hasn't given any more details about the incident yet, but he appears to be in good spirits.
He is a regular fixture as a senior referee on WWE's SmackDown brand, having first entered the business in 1995 before joining World Championship Wrestling (WCW) two years later.
As well as weekly appearances on WWE SmackDown, Charles also referees matches on the company's monthly premium live events. More Trending

Tyson and Paris Fury ‘terrified' after plane is forced to land after wedding
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Tyson Fury and his family were left 'terrified' after the plane they were travelling on was forced to land due to an emergency issue with the aircraft. The retired heavyweight boxer was travelling with his wife, Paris, and their seven children after the couple had a wedding ceremony for the third time, 17 years after they first got married. Tyson took to Instagram to share the harrowing experience, recounting how a 'problem with one of the wings' on the plane meant it had to turn around after travelling just 100 miles. He said: 'So, we've travelled 100 miles on the plane and the captain's come over to me and said 'we've got to turn this plane around because there's a problem with one of the wings and it won't fix on the computer so we gotta try and get back and turn around.'' He said: 'Talk about totally sh***ing yourself. So we're now spinning the plane around and going back to the airport where we started. Terrifying.' Tyson captioned the video simply 'bad news.' The Gypsy King, 37, posted the update just a day after marrying his wife, Paris, 35, for a third time, surrounded by the couple's children. The pair were first married in 2008 when she was just 19 years old and he was 21. They have since renewed their vows on one other occasion in April 2013 in New York City. Taking to social media, Tyson wrote of the romantic day at Saint-Martin-Saint-Augustin Church in France: 'Paris Fury and I got married again; third time lucky. We had the most beautiful day in the South of France, it holds a lot of special memories for us.' The couple have seven children together: sons Prince John James, 13, Prince Tyson II, nine, Prince Adonis Amaziah, six, and Prince Rico, two, and daughters Venezuela, 15, Valencia, seven, and Athena, four. Paris wore a white lace dress while Tyson wore a cream shirt, white shorts, and sandals. The couple's children also dressed up for the occasion, sons Prince John James, Prince Tyson II, Prince Adonis Amaziah, and Prince Rico wearing matching suits while daughters Venezuela, Valencia, and Athena matched their mom in white dresses. Paris and Tyson, who are both Irish Traveller descent and were raised in Traveller communities, met at a wedding of a mutual friend when she was 15 and he was 18, before marrying in 2009. More Trending Speaking about renewing their vows in January of this year, Paris told OK!: 'I don't want a big ceremony or a big wedding, I'd like something private with just me and him. 'It'll be nice to reaffirm our vows. If he had his way he'd have it like a circus – a whole Big Fat Gypsy Wedding again! But I think I'll go subtle.'
