iOS 26 beta hints at bigger display for Apple Watch Ultra 3

Apple is expected to launch its next generation
Apple Watch Ultra 3
at the company
iPhone launch event
this year. As per rumours, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series smartphones and the
Apple Watch Ultra
3 next month. Now a new online report reveals a feature expected to come in Apple Watch Ultra 3. As reported by MacRumours, the latest
iOS 26 beta
suggests that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may sport a slightly larger display as compared to its predecessor. The leaked assets, uncovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, show a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels, up from the 410 x 502 resolution found on the current Apple Watch Ultra 2.
While the physical casing size of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is not explicitly confirmed to be larger, the increased resolution strongly suggests either a slightly bigger overall display or, more likely, a reduction in bezel size to accommodate the enhanced screen within a similar form factor.
This potential display bump, though seemingly minor in terms of raw pixel count, could translate to a more immersive and user-friendly experience, allowing for more information to be displayed at a glance or providing a more expansive canvas for watchOS features.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: What to expect
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to debut this fall alongside the iPhone 17 lineup and Apple Watch Series 11. Rumored upgrades include:

UPI fraud clampdown: NPCI to end P2P collect requests from October 1; Banks, apps told to block pull transactions permanently

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has directed banks and payment apps to stop all peer-to-peer (P2P) 'collect requests' on UPI from October 1, 2025, in an effort to curb financial fraud. In a circular dated July 29, NPCI said, 'It is hereby informed that by October 1, 2025 UPI P2P collect shall not be allowed to be process in UPI.' "All member banks, Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and UPI apps are hereby directed to implement the necessary changes in their systems and operational processes to ensure that no P2P collect transaction is initiated, routed, or processed on UPI beyond October 1, 2025," it added, reported PTI. The move means that all banks and UPI apps — including PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm — will no longer be able to initiate, route, or process P2P collect transactions after the deadline. At present, the maximum amount that can be collected from another individual per transaction is Rs 2,000, with a daily cap of 50 successful transactions. "By eliminating this feature, UPI reinforces its position as a platform that is fast and easy, while also being secure and reliable. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Back Pain Treatments That Might Surprise You! Back Pain Treatment | Search Ads Undo This change, removing a high-risk channel, will significantly reduce fraud. Now, all P2P transactions will be payer-initiated, requiring the user to scan a QR code," NTT DATA Payment Services India CFO Rahul Jain said. In such cases, the payer will have full control over the transactions they initiate, he noted. NPCI had capped pull transactions at Rs 2,000 in 2019, but fraud incidents continued. 'This move will act as a safeguard for users, and such frauds will now be eliminated,' it said. 'NPCI's decision to discontinue UPI 'collect' requests closes a loophole long exploited in payment scams, marking a decisive step toward a safer digital economy,' said Reeju Datta, co-founder of Cashfree Payments. He noted that championing user-initiated 'push' transactions enhances consumer control and transparency while reinforcing trust in digital payments. Report Suggests Apple Could Unveil Tabletop AI Robot Resembling WALL-E by 2027

Apple could be on its way to releasing a novel Apple AI robot that would take the form of a tabletop companion—a clever, emotive assistant akin to WALL-E from the Pixar film. Apple AI device news by Indian Express citing Bloomberg says that the rumored device will be the 'keystone of Apple's AI efforts in the coming years' and will be released by 2027. The new machine is reportedly akin to an iPad secured on a motorized arm capable of pivoting and rotating to follow someone around a room and will have natural language capabilities. In addition, the device will also have a next-generation Siri that can 'join group conversations, and remember things that were said previously.' Apple is said to be working on a face for the Apple WALL-E robot, which could be a sticker of an animated Finder logo, or another lively mascot to embody tabletop AI assistant, and the features it'll receive to make it useful, including a more powerful in-house AI codenamed LLM Siri, run by Apple's own 'Linwood' Apple robotics 2027 with other outside engines like 'Glenwood.' Apple's reported AI push will reportedly also include smart display speakers and smart security cameras with facial recognition, infrared sensors, and controls that can make lights turn on or music play when someone enters a room. The company is also said to be developing similar features and could soon bring them to Apple devices like the Apple Watch. Apple's large language model, internally labelled LLM Siri, is said to be launching some time next spring. The AI-powered Siri will employ an in-house developed technology called Linwood, as well as outside technology called Glenwood. Apple hasn't made a final decision, but it does seem like the tech giant is currently testing Anthropic's Claude.

How the Beanstalk Event Works At the heart of the Grow a Garden Beanstalk Event is a collaborative gameplay mechanic. Players will convert fruits collected in-game into fertiliser, which in turn fuels the growth of the Beanstalk. Live Events Once the plant breaches the clouds, participants can climb its trunk and branches to reach the Giants' domain — a new zone where exclusive seeds, rare pets, and unique cosmetic items will be available. Developers have hinted at platforming challenges along the Beanstalk climb, suggesting elements of parkour-style navigation. Debut of the Garden Guide Coinciding with the event is the introduction of the 'Garden Guide,' a comprehensive in-game index that records players' collected seeds, pets, food items and other assets. The guide will also integrate achievement-based unlocks, rewarding collectors and completionists with special items and recognition. This feature is expected to become a permanent part of Grow a Garden beyond the event window. New Content and Gameplay Features In addition to the Beanstalk mechanic and Garden Guide, the August 16 update will introduce: New Seeds and Pets: Fresh plant varieties and companion creatures to collect. Weather Effects: Environmental changes that could influence gameplay. Cosmetic Upgrades: Potential pet packs, decorative fences, and other customisation options, some possibly tied to limited-time sales. The update continues the title's tradition of incorporating weekly content drops, but developers have emphasised that this event will stand out for its scale and community-driven nature. How to Prepare for the Event Veteran players have already begun strategising for maximum rewards. Suggested preparations include: Saving Fruits: More fertiliser means faster Beanstalk growth. Clearing Inventory Space: To accommodate seeds, pets, and event-specific items. Practising Climbing: Parkour-style mechanics may be required to reach higher areas. Stocking Currency: For potential limited-time purchases. Logging in Early: To bypass possible server congestion. Why the Event Matters The Grow a Garden Beanstalk Event is being positioned as one of the game's most ambitious updates to date. Team-Oriented Play: Success will depend on players collectively contributing resources, strengthening the game's community aspect. Collection Management Tools: The Garden Guide addresses long-standing player requests for better tracking and organisation. Exclusive Rewards: Sky-area prizes may include items that remain unavailable after the event, adding urgency for participation. Anticipation Runs High Online forums dedicated to Grow a Garden have been buzzing with speculation about the nature of the Giants' area and the potential surprise rewards. Some players believe new lore elements will be introduced, tying the Beanstalk and Giants into the game's broader narrative. The developers, while remaining tight-lipped about specific storylines, have promised that the climb will be 'worth the effort' for those who participate from day one. With the clock ticking toward the August 16 launch, both casual players and dedicated fans are preparing to send the Beanstalk skyward together. FAQs When does the Grow a Garden Beanstalk Event start and end? The event starts on August 16, 2025, and runs for about one week, ending around August 23, 2025.
