'F**k Him': Joe Biden's Son Blasts George Clooney For Forcing Father Out Of 2024 Race

In an op-ed, Clooney had called for the Democratic Party to choose a new nominee due to Joe Biden's age and concerns about his recent debate performance
Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, has ignited controversy with a string of interviews condemning actor George Clooney and prominent Democratic Party insiders for their roles in pushing his father out of the 2024 presidential race.
Expressing rare public fury, Hunter directly attributed the collapse of his father's campaign to outspoken party donors, strategists, and celebrities who questioned the elder Biden's fitness for office.
Clooney's Op-Ed and Hunter's Fury
The immediate flashpoint for Hunter Biden's frustration was George Clooney's high-profile op-ed in The New York Times in July 2024. In the essay, Clooney—once a visible supporter of the Biden administration—called for the Democratic Party to choose a new nominee due to Joe Biden's age and concerns about his recent debate performance. The criticism reportedly stung the Biden family and set off a cascade of similar calls from within the party.
During a lengthy interview released on the anniversary of Joe Biden's exit from the race, Hunter charged into Clooney: 'F–k him. And everybody around him. I don't have to be f–king nice," he said, branding Clooney 'not an actor… he's a brand" and denouncing what he saw as Hollywood's outsize influence on national politics. 'Do you think in middle America, that voter in Green Bay, Wisconsin, gives a s— what George Clooney thinks about who she should vote for?" Hunter asked rhetorically, echoing the view that celebrity interventions can feel out of touch with voters' realities.
Hunter Biden also sought to defend his father's troubled debate performance against Donald Trump in June 2024, which many cited as a tipping point for the president's campaign. In the interviews, he revealed that Joe Biden had taken Ambien, a prescription sleep aid, in the days leading up to the debate to mitigate jet lag after extensive foreign travel. Hunter maintained the medication, combined with exhaustion from global trips, contributed to his father's 'deer in the headlights" demeanour on stage, pushing back against narratives of cognitive decline.
Party Strategists, Donors, and Media On Target
Clooney was not alone in facing Hunter's wrath. He named Democratic advisors, including James Carville and David Axelrod, as well as hosts of the podcast 'Pod Save America", accusing them of capitalising on their Democratic connections and undermining his father's legacy. Hunter argued that these establishment voices, instead of rallying around the sitting president, 'melted down" the party and threw away the advantage of incumbency.
He also criticised mainstream media figures, targeting CNN's Jake Tapper for his coverage of the Biden family. Throughout, Hunter insisted that the Democratic electorate—not wealthy donors, pundits, or Hollywood personalities—should have the final say on the party's direction.
The interviews mark the first time a member of the Biden family has so fiercely and publicly answered the chorus of Democratic pressure that paved the way for Joe Biden's withdrawal, just months before the 2024 election. For Hunter, the public turning of high-profile insiders and outside voices in the party wasn't just politically damaging—it was, in his words, 'a betrayal" to a man who gave '52 years of his f—ing life to the service of this country".

'Don't elect Muslim immigrants': Islamophobic attacks follow NFL headquarters mass shooting after Muslim NYPD officer gets killed

The tragic shooting on Park Avenue has ignited a wave of political disinformation (Getty Images) A tragic mass shooting on Park Avenue in Manhattan has become the latest flashpoint for political disinformation, with far-right voices attempting to link the attack to Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani—despite no evidence connecting him to the crime. The incident, which claimed four lives including an NYPD officer, quickly turned into a digital battlefield fueled by Islamophobic rhetoric and political fearmongering. Right-wing figures falsely blame Mamdani despite lack of evidence In the chaotic aftermath of the shooting, conspiracy theorists and conservative commentators pounced. Far-right personality Laura Loomer accused Mamdani of inspiring 'a generation of pro-Islamic cop killers,' writing on X, 'This is why you don't elect Muslim immigrants to office.' Other voices resurfaced old statements from Mamdani about defunding the police—remarks he has since walked back—to question his legitimacy as a public servant. This narrative gained traction online before facts could surface, despite the real story being far different. 'Defend the homeland': ICE aims to double workforce as immigration crackdown expands; seeks 'heroic Americans' in new campaign

Trump administration launches major ICE recruitment drive to hire deportation officers (Image: AP) The Trump administration is launching a new recruiting campaign to attract thousands of deportation officers, lawyers, and investigators as it prepares to massively expand immigration enforcement. Backed by a surge in funding from Congress, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) aims to ramp up deportations to unprecedented levels, and is calling on 'brave and heroic Americans' to join the effort to 'defend the homeland.' The campaign, introduced late Tuesday, uses imagery reminiscent of World War II recruitment posters, featuring Uncle Sam and phrases like 'AMERICA NEEDS YOU.' Photos of President Donald Trump and top homeland security officials are also displayed, with the words 'DEFEND THE HOMELAND' across the images, rreported AP. 'Your country is calling you to serve at ICE,' said homeland security secretary Kristi Noem in a news release. 'This is a defining moment in our nation's history. Your skills, your experience, and your courage have never been more essential. Together, we must defend the homeland.' This recruitment drive is fueled by a significant budget increase. The recent tax and spending legislation signed by Trump allocates about $170 billion for border security and immigration enforcement over five years. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like If You Eat Ginger Everyday for 1 Month This is What Happens Tips and Tricks Undo ICE's budget alone will rise to $76.5 billion, nearly ten times its current annual funding. About $45 billion will expand detention capacity, while nearly $30 billion is earmarked for hiring 10,000 new staff members to help achieve the goal of 1 million deportations annually. What ICE offers and who the new officers are Alongside appealing to patriotism, the agency is offering financial incentives such as signing bonuses up to $50,000, overtime opportunities for deportation officers, and benefits including loan repayment or forgiveness options. New hires will include deportation officers tasked with tracking, arresting, and removing individuals deemed ineligible to remain in the US. These officers have become highly visible under the Trump administration, often making arrests at courts, on the streets, and at businesses. Their use of masks during operations has drawn criticism from immigration activists and Democratic lawmakers. The recruitment webpage features a striking image of an armored vehicle with officers in military gear riding on the sides, underscoring the agency's robust approach. In addition to deportation officers, ICE is seeking criminal investigators and lawyers to prosecute immigration cases. The agency plans to advertise the campaign on college campuses, job fairs, and law enforcement networks starting this week. However, the rapid expansion has raised concerns about maintaining standards and training. Jason Houser, a former ICE chief of staff during the Biden administration, noted that staffing has long been a challenge for the agency. When Trump took office, ICE had about 6,000 officers responsible for monitoring noncitizens and carrying out removals—a number that has not significantly increased despite growing caseloads. Training the troops: Multi-year road to full readiness Houser warned that a rush to hire could lead to lower recruitment and training standards. He pointed to the early 2000s Border Patrol expansion, where eased standards resulted in increased misconduct among agents. 'If they start waiving requirements there like they did for Border Patrol, you're going to have an exponential increase in officers that are shown the door after three years because there's some issue,' he said as quoted by AP. Houser also expressed concern about diminished oversight, noting that the Department of Homeland Security has dismantled some agencies responsible for supervising ICE and other branches. He estimated that it would take three to four years to fully hire and train the new staff. Until then, ICE may rely on private contractors, National Guard members, and other federal law enforcement to meet the administration's goal of 3,000 arrests a day. The administration's campaign highlights its push to strengthen immigration enforcement through increased personnel and resources, but also underscores challenges related to staffing quality and oversight as the agency prepares for significant growth. This structure begins with the campaign launch and patriotic appeal, then discusses funding, incentives, and recruitment targets. It flows naturally into operational details, concerns raised about rapid expansion, and closes with challenges ahead, making the story easier to follow and more impactful.
