First place Springfield to open 12-game home stand

Yahoo4 hours ago

Hello everyone, I'm Dan Lucy on the Ozarks First digital desk.
The Springfield Cardinals return home on Tuesday to open up a giant 12-game home stand against Tulsa and Corpus Christi.
The Cardinals took five of the six games played last week in Frisco.
In our Cardinals Nation update.
Springfield finished up its series in Texas Sunday night with a 9-2 win over Frisco.
The game was tied at two going into the tenth inning, when Springfield exploded for seven runs and the victory.
That was the only regular season series between the Springfield and Frisco this season.
Springfield will start Tuesday's home stand in first place in the Texas League North with two weeks left in the first half of the season.
The Cardinals have 32 wins, and a three game lead on the Texas League North.
If Springfield can stay in first place over the next two weeks, it'll win the Texas League first half North title and earn a playoff ticket for the end of the season.
For more sports watch Ozarks First news at nine and ten.
And I'll see you then.
