A Chatham-Kent man has been arrested in connection to a Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) investigation.
According to the Chatham-Kent Police, they were told in November 2024 that a Chatham-Kent resident was sharing CSAM through the social media app, Kik Messenger.
An investigation was launched and in January 2025, a search warrant was executed at the home of a 41-year-old man.
During the search, the CKPS seized several electronics. When analysis was done on the devices, police said the man was also buying CSAM through different online sources.
On Tuesday, the man was charged with possession of child pornography, accessing pornography, and making child pornography in a written format.
The investigation is ongoing.
