AP minister Nimmala Ramanaidu announces implementation of two schemes soon
During a visit to West Godavari district on Wednesday, Minister Ramanaidu engaged with constituents through a door-to-door campaign aimed at showcasing the coalition government's achievements over the past year. Ramanaidu highlighted that the 'P4' initiative, designed to eradicate poverty with the assistance of mentors, is currently being implemented, and he outlined the coalition's commitment to fulfilling all Super Six promises. The minister conveyed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is dedicated to ensuring welfare and progress for every household while enhancing the state's economic standing.

Tirumala: The sanctity of Tirumala has once again come under focus after former YSRCP legislator and maternal uncle of former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pochimareddy Ravindranath Reddy allegedly made political statements during his visit to the hill shrine, despite a ban on such activity. Ravindranath Reddy offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara temple on Sunday morning. But moments after stepping out of the shrine, he spoke to the media, launching a sharp attack on the ruling coalition and commenting on ongoing political developments. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board had only recently passed a resolution strictly prohibiting political speeches, allegations or propaganda in Tirumala to preserve the temple's spiritual atmosphere. Officials say this was done to ensure that faith and politics remain separate in one of the country's most revered pilgrimage centres. In his remarks, Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam-led alliance was 'misusing power' in the run-up to the Pulivendula ZPTC by-election. He accused the government of resorting to intimidation of YSR Congress workers and residents, engineering irregularities, and even making arrangements for cross-village voting to influence results. He claimed voter turnout was being deliberately suppressed through unlawful means. The former MLA also criticised the State's flagship 'Super Six' scheme, claiming it had failed to deliver on promises and had led to a decline in crop yields. He went on to assert that the people of Pulivendula were firmly behind the YSRCP and that the current political climate was unlike anything seen since Independence. Reddy even suggested that if Jagan Mohan Reddy had wished, leaders like CM N Chandrababu Naidu and deputy CM K Pawan Kalyan would not have been able to file their nominations in the 2024 elections. TTD's Vigilance and Security Department has taken note of Reddy's comments. Sources indicate that the board is reviewing the footage and may soon issue a show-cause notice, asking the leader to explain why action should not be taken against him for flouting the 'no politics in Tirumala' policy

TDP urged to persuade govt to revoke land transfer to Lulu
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department (APPTD) Employees Union on Sunday urged the state government not to allocate the valuable RTC lands at Vijayawada Governorpet 1 & 2 Depots and the old bus stand premises to Lulu Shopping Mall. The union leaders said the RTC and passengers will suffer problems due to shifting of the depots to other places. The union state president Palisetti Damodar Rao and the state general secretary GV Narasayya met the TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao on Sunday at the party office and submitted a formal petition expressing their concerns over the allotment of RTC lands to private group for construction of shopping mall. The two leaders stated that the transferring of RTC property for commercial use would severely affect the public transportation services and create hardships for both employees and the RTC passengers. The EU leaders said the proposed land allocation would tarnish the image of the coalition government and requested immediate intervention of the TDP leader and a reconsideration of the decision in view of RTC's long-term interests. Srinivasa Rao reportedly assured the delegation that he would bring the matter to the notice of the CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The two leaders said the RTC lands in the heart of the city are crucial to RTC operations and should not be diverted to private commercial purposes. They cautioned that if such moves continue, RTC—being a public transportation body—risks losing its public service character, which could have broader political implications on the Coalition parties in future. The union leaders also announced plans to meet BJP State President PVN Madhav and Janasena Party President and the Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to garner wider support against the move of the state government to handover the RTC lands. They strongly demanded that the government revoke GO No 137 and take action to address the growing unrest among RTC employees.

Botcha ignored North Andhra development while in power, alleges MSME Minister
Minister for MSME and NRI Affairs Kondapalli Srinivas on Sunday lashed out at former Minister Botcha Satyanarayana, saying he had no moral right to comment on the stagnation of development in the State. Mr. Srinivas alleged that Mr. Satyanarayana had completely neglected the development of the North Andhra region during his tenure in the governments of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr. Srinivas claimed that only Mr. Satyanarayana's family had benefited politically during that period, with several of his relatives securing MLA posts while he was in power. Addressing a press conference, the Minister accused YSRCP leaders of sending emails to companies urging them not to invest in Andhra Pradesh, allegedly to derail the State's progress. He stressed that the government was committed to giving equal priority to development and welfare, citing preparations for the Stree Shaktifree bus service for women, set to roll out from August 15. Vizianagaram MP Kalisetti Appalanaidu, who was also present, said people were pleased with the effective implementation of the 'Super Six' assurances made before the 2024 general elections.
