The King failed to mention Prince Harry as he praised Prince William during a State Banquet with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron was joined by his wife Brigitte at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening, During his speech, the King recognised William's decision to choose Windsor as his family home, reports The Express.
"The Castle in which we meet this evening was begun by my ancestor - and your sometime countryman - William, Duke of Normandy, in the year 1070," the King said at the start of the Banquet.
He added, "It remains the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world." Charles then said, "So it is perhaps rather appropriate that my son, The Prince of Wales, who shares that earlier William's name, has made Windsor his home with his family, like so many of our predecessors."

Princess Anne sparked a 'fan frenzy' after debuting a new hairstyle at the event. The Princess Royal looked exquisite in a white gown and a glittering tiara, while her husband was equally dapper for the white-tie affair.
Anne donned an embellished white gown with lace trim and a colour-matching bolero jacket, which she previously wore for a portrait to mark her 70th birthday back in 2020.

She also donned her beloved Festoon Tiara, which she has been frequently wearing for the past 50 years.
But the princess surprised royal fans as she debuted a new hairstyle, other than her signature 70s hairspray beehive, for the first time in years.

Billionaire owner of Willie Mullins' ‘very classy' new £300,000 horse confirmed and Cheltenham Festival target decided

And her Cheltenham Festival target has already been decided. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Willie Mullins and billionaire Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary had a public falling out a few years ago but they are big mates again now and could have a superstar on their hands in the shape of £300,000 Poetisa Credit: Sportsfile - Subscription The latest Horse Racing Ireland update showed Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary's Gigginstown House Stud as the owner of Poetisa. Mullins and right-hand man Harold Kirk saw off Nicky Henderson to land the Cheltenham winner at the Goffs sales in May. Formerly trained by Toby Bulgin, Poetisa won a mares' bumper at the home of jumps in April. Sent off 20-1 under former champion jockey Brian Hughes, she stayed on well up the hill after meeting trouble to win by a neck. Poetisa commanded a price tag of £42,000 as a three-year-old but her value soared after the Cheltenham victory. And Mullins clearly liked what he saw, with her pedigree suggesting big things lie in store in the future. Poetisa is from the same family as multiple Grade 1-winning superstar Macs Joy. The Jessica Harrington-trained hurdler won over half a million quid from 31 career races, which included nine victories. And O'Leary will be hoping for something similar from his newly-acquired mare. Gigginstown House were also listed as the new owners of French import Mino Des Mottes, who it is thought is also in training with Mullins. But it's Poetisa who Kirk has big hopes for. And he had already decided her target for the Festival when splashing the cash a few months ago. The bloodstock expert said: "She's a Cheltenham winner already and she'll only improve. "She was very classy when she won. She's a lovely mare and hopefully she'll go down the mares' route over hurdles as there's a big programme for these mares now." Poetisa can be backed at 10-1 for the Mares Novices' Hurdle, with Mullins' Champion Bumper winner Bambino Fever the 3-1 favourite. Edinburgh book shop manager's one-word comment after visit from Nicola Sturgeon

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Nicola Sturgeon made a sneaky city centre appearance at an Edinburgh book shop on Thursday head of her much-anticipated book. The former First Minister popped into Toppings & Company Booksellers of Edinburgh on Blenheim Place today to promote her brand new memoir, Frankly. Sturgeon snapped a photo in front of the shop after signing copies of the book, which the store's manager said would be "our biggest book of this year and probably several years". The politician was in centre city on her way to the Book Festival when she popped in for just 20 minutes. However, Toppings staff are hopeful Sturgeon will return for a formal event later this year. Manager Duncan Furness told Edinburgh Live: "She's all over the media promoting her memoir. She's working hard." He called the former leader of Scotland "bubbly" and "very open", adding: "She was chatting about books in general, she was positive, easy to talk to." Duncan had met Nicola earlier this year at a dinner in Glasgow and found her to be "the same" as before: "very open, chatty, happy to discuss anything you want to discuss. I thought she was very impressive." In his tenure as manager at Toppings, Duncan had encountered Sturgeon before when she frequented the store as a book lover. Now, staff were thrilled to welcome her back as an author herself. Duncan said the shop received hundreds of signed copies of her book from the publisher and that he was looking forward to reading it cover to cover. He said: "I'm four chapters in. It's quite a big book. We only got them in on Monday like everyone else. I'm enjoying it but she's still in university [in the book]. All the political stuff is yet to come." Toppings staff hope to arrange a formal event with Nicola Sturgeon this November or early December. Her debut memoir, "Frankly: The Revelatory Memoir from Scotland's First Female and Longest-serving First Minister" was released today, August 14. Nicola Sturgeon served as First Minister from 2014 until 2023, when she made a surprise resignation. Taylor Swift reveals awkward dilemma when meeting Prince William with Travis Kelce

When Prince William and his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte met the popstar, there was one big dilemma Swift and her famous boyfriend encountered Taylor Swift has recalled a major issue she ran into when she met Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte backstage at her Eras Tour show in London. ‌ In June 2024, the American singer met the royal family at Wembley Arena, alongside her football player boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. ‌ The Wales' took a selfie with Taylor backstage before the show, and she posted it to social media with the caption: "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start". The star tagged Prince William in the post, acknowledging his birthday that fell on the same day as the sold-out concert. It comes after Kate Middleton halts her summer break to release new video with emotional statement. ‌ READ MORE: Heartbreaking update in Prince Harry and William feud as author drops Diana bombshell Now one year on from the iconic moment, Taylor, Travis and Jason discussed the royal meeting on the Kelce brother's New Heights podcast, with Swift as the surprise guest on the episode. Taylor Swift said, as the trio discussed their trip to London: "Wasn't this the week I got to watch Jason meet the Royal Family? I watched him have this moment with his beer where he was like, 'But I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it'. I watched this happen, and it kind of was the most amazing thing." Jason replied: "I like that you picked up on it because that was exactly what was going through my head." He then asked: "Is it disrespectful to have a beer when you meet royalty?' Taylor Swift replied: "Yeah, or is it authentic by having the beer? I would normally have the beer, wouldn't they want me to be myself? I'm watching you say that in your head." According to a source at the time, Prince William had a 'nightmare' getting into the Wembley show with his children, who added that the family were running late to the gig and almost missed the concert entirely. ‌ "They had a nightmare getting in, they were running really late but they had planned to get there earlier so they could have the meet and greet with Taylor beforehand because they knew they wanted to leave early," they told HELLO!. "They only had 25 minutes to spare so had a quick meet and greet and then went up to their box before the show, and there was a bit of stress and panic about that because it was taking too long." ‌ Thankfully, everything fell into place and William and his children were able to meet the superstar before taking their seats in the balcony area. As the concert drew to a close, the royals had to make an early exit, leaving ten minutes before the end of the show to avoid the rush of eager Swifties. In the months after the Eras tour show in the UK, Travis Kelce's mother Donna lifted the lid on her son's royal meeting, saying how humbling the moment was for her footballer son. Donna said: "He said that 'When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant... you're just like, who in this picture doesn't fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn't seem right.'"
