Nearly a decade after it first captivated global audiences, Stranger Things is set to return for its much-awaited fifth and final season. The streaming giant Netflix has confirmed that Stranger Things: Season 5 will be released in three parts starting November 26, 2025, with subsequent parts dropping on December 25 and December 31. This final installment is expected to bring closure to the eerie mysteries surrounding Hawkins, Indiana, and its young heroes.Season 5 will center around the continued battle between Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the malevolent Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), as the Upside Down threatens to consume Hawkins. Picking up from the events of the Season 4 finale, 'The Piggyback', the new season will focus on restoring order while resolving the fate of Max (Sadie Sink), who remains comatose with critical injuries.According to the Duffer Brothers, the showrunners have always intended for the series to end with five seasons. 'This story, these characters' stories, that's done,' said Matt Duffer at SCAD TVfest in Atlanta, confirming that Season 5 will bring the saga to a definitive close, as mentioned in a report by Marca. The Stranger Things: Season 5 cast will see the return of the core ensemble: Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), and Sadie Sink (Max). Veteran stars David Harbour (Hopper), Winona Ryder (Joyce), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Keery (Steve), and Maya Hawke (Robin) also reprise their roles.New additions to the cast include Linda Hamilton, famed for her role in The Terminator, in a yet-undisclosed role, continuing the show's tradition of casting 1980s cinema icons.Season 5 will consist of eight episodes, with varying lengths. The final episode is expected to run 2 hours and 30 minutes, making it the longest in the series. Titled episodes include 'The Crawl,' 'The Vanishing of…,' 'The Turnbow Trap,' and 'The Rightside Up,' hinting at both callbacks and revelations. The Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the season will revisit the tone of Season 1 while maintaining the scale and emotional depth of later seasons. Unlike its predecessors, the entire storyline will remain anchored in Hawkins.Netflix plans a staggered release for Season 5, as mentioned in a report by Marca:Viewers across global time zones can expect tailored launch times, from 5:00 p.m. PST in Los Angeles to 10:00 p.m. BRT in Brazil.Interestingly, the final season draws inspiration from Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a Broadway-bound prequel play focusing on the Creel family's backstory. Co-developed alongside Season 5, the play's narrative is said to echo in the new episodes.Netflix also required the creators to formally document the Upside Down's mythology for internal reference—a 25-page file that will now inform the unfolding of pivotal plot points in Season 5.Launched in 2016, Stranger Things became one of Netflix's most successful original series, blending science fiction, supernatural horror, and 1980s nostalgia. As the curtain falls in late 2025, the series aims to deliver a conclusive yet thrilling farewell, cementing its legacy as a cornerstone of modern streaming entertainment.Yes, Linda Hamilton (of The Terminator fame) joins the cast in an undisclosed role, continuing the show's nod to 1980s cinema legends. There will be eight episodes in total. The final episode is expected to be 2 hours and 30 minutes long, making it the longest in the series.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carrie-Anne Moss make magic in Fubar season 2

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -Austrian and American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger had to admit that it took him a lot of practice to nail the tango scene with Canadian actor Carrie-Anne Moss for season 2 of the Netflix action-comedy series "Fubar." "We practiced. We practiced a lot, and she didn't need as much practice as I did, but I really practiced," the former California governor told Reuters. The "Terminator" actor recalled doing the first take for the dance scene and impressing everyone with how ready they were. "They just thought we were rehearsing, but they did not know that we were that prepared for the whole thing," Schwarzenegger said with a smile. "Fubar" season 2, created by Nick Santora and produced by Skydance Television and Blackjack Films, premiered on Netflix last Thursday. The story follows Luke Brunner, played by Schwarzenegger and his daughter Emma, played by Monica Barbaro, who are both CIA operatives. Their fellow CIA team members include Barry Putt, played by Milan Carter, Boro Polonia, played by Gabriel Luna, Roo Russell, played by Fortune Feimster and Aldon Reese, portrayed by Travis Van Winkle. In season 2, Brunner is back to working with his CIA team, but things take an unexpected turn when he encounters his ex-lover Greta Nelson, played by Carrie-Anne Moss. Greta is a former East German spy who ends up going up against Brunner in both the tango and a tussling battle. "Most of my scenes are with Arnold, so we developed this incredible friendship," Carrie-Anne said. Schwarzenegger humorously recalled the "Matrix" actor bringing what he dubbed as "secret oil" to the set and putting it behind his ears before shooting a scene. "Peppermint oil. I'm a big peppermint oil or just essential oil person," Carrie-Anne clarified. "It was like some magic power because as soon as she smeared the stuff behind my ears, I mean it was like 'pum!' and we were kind of out of the gate doing our scenes in the most perfect way," Schwarzenegger added. Housefull 5 director Tarun Mansukhani says he took long break from movies due to 'expensive, unpleasant' divorce

Tarun Mansukhani was one of the most talked-about directors after making Dostana. However, the filmmaker didn't have a release for almost 10 years. The Housefull 5 director recently opened up about why he didn't work even after Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, and John Abraham were a massive hit. (Also read: Tarun Mansukhani defends Housefull 5 against claims of sexism, objectifying women: 'The actual plot is driven by women') In an interview with Just Too Filmy, Tarun revealed that although Dostana was a huge hit and opened many opportunities for him, he could not take up the projects because of turbulence in his personal life. "A lot happened in life. I went through a divorce. It wasn't a pleasant one. It was an expensive one for me, and life just took its own turns. I was not in a bandwidth or headspace to make a film. What I knew about that point in time is that I am in debt, and I don't need to sort that out. I didn't want to make a film, I'll make money or get paid for it. The moment I do that, it is tainted by that because I am making a film in fear. I am not going to be fun on that set either," Tarun said. Tarun ended his nine-year marriage to Karuna in 2014. The couple, who had been together since childhood, filed for divorce by mutual consent. According to reports, their relationship began to face difficulties in 2011, leading to them living apart since 2012. Despite efforts from friends and family to reconcile, their differences became irreconcilable. After Dostana, Tarun came back in 2019 and helmed Dharma Production's Drive, which starred Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The film was criticised for its bad CGI, dubbing, and acting. Reportedly, Karan Johar was not happy with the film, which is why it didn't have a theatrical release and went straight to a Netflix release. "I stand by Drive. Shah Rukh sir said once that you will have many hits in your career. It is the one that didn't really work that becomes your favourite because at the end of the day, that is the little weak one in your house, and you want to hold it close and give all the padding you can," Tarun said. Tarun's Housefull 5, which stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, has crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide. Housefull 5 is the fifth instalment in a long-standing comedy franchise that began in 2010. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
