Wonderwall Rendition Outside Principality
Fans from across the world have flocked to Cardiff to see the long-awaited reunion of Oasis at the Principality Stadium this evening. But they may not have expected to be singing along to a rendition of the band's most famous hits by a former X-Factor and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star in the build up to the show.
Jake Quickenden, who appeared in the X Factor on ITV in 2012, finished runner up in I'm A Celeb in 2014 and won Dancing On Ice in 2018, has been spotted outside the home of Welsh rugby with an acoustic guitar performing hits including Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall, with fans singing along to his versions of the classics.
The 36-year-old was in the city centre presenting for This Morning as the build-up to tonight's historic occasion gets into full swing.
Fans from across the world, including Columbia and Germany have been spotted soaking up the atmosphere ahead of Liam and Noel Gallagher's long awaited reunion.

The roof will be closed at the Principality Stadium today, but fans need not worry, as Met Office rainfall weather maps show clear skies for the capital all day today.

A forecast for Wales reads: "Some early sunshine, before turning increasingly cloudy through the day. Mostly dry, though spells of rain spreading into Anglesey later in the afternoon and becoming breezy in the northwest too. Maximum temperature 21 °C."
A queue system has been assembled outside Cardiff train station for fans heading home after the gig. Barriers have been put up separating fans travelling in different directions.

To help manage the expected increase in passenger numbers, Transport for Wales and Great Western Railway will operate additional and strengthened services (trains with more carriages than usual) to get customers to and from the events smoothly.
But some engineering works may impact services, and passengers are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey.
A full road closure will be in place from 12 noon, and the public gates to the Principality Stadium will open at 5pm.
The first warm up act, Cast, take to the stage at 6pm, followed by Richard Ashcroft, who will be next on the stage at 7pm.
Oasis will be on stage at 8.15pm and the curfew to the gig will be at 10.30pm.
Road will re-open at midnight.

Three musical comedians to see this August who aren't Oasis

Amelia Hamilton: Forget Me Not, Pleasance Courtyard - The Attic Though they may be the most famous comedy double act in rock, not everyone will be going to see Oasis this August. For anyone who wants a double whammy of great tunes and biting wit, there are plenty of musical comedy performances to be found throughout the month at the Edinburgh Fringe. Amelia Hamilton: Forget Me Not The UK's only female stand-up rapper, Amelia Hamilton, will be bringing her mesmeric beats to Pleasance Courtyard Forget Me Not. Hamilton, who has been described as 'a star in the making' by Angela Barnes, invites you to party at the end of the world - but first, she needs to do the dishes at her parents' house . . . Where she lives. Forget Me Not, set to an original soundtrack of live beats, combines eulogies, fire and family to produce a relatable rapper's requiem and a comedic celebration. Amelia says: 'This show is an anthem for anyone who wants to be everything; a lover and a fighter, a girl boss and also wear ASOS, a rapper and a woman in STEM, to be famous but also to be forgotten.' Spillar made her debut in 2023 with HOLE and has become known for her offbeat stand-up soundtrack live with a loop pedal. The show was one of the best-reviewed shows at the Fringe that year, and Holly was subsequently a finalist in the Musical Comedy Awards in 2025. As a working-class performer, Holly's shows are strongly influenced by her low-income background and address the effect class has on professional art. With two shit jobs, a little red loop pedal and no time or money, Holly Spillar is full of rage, minimum wage and the pungent green mould stain of Brat Summers passed. Tall Child is a cathartic hour of earworms and swan pedalos, with each rant carefully curated in Holly's inimitable style. Previously known for her funny songs about single life like 'Tube Ride of Shame,' musical comedian Tamar Broadbent took some time away to get married and have a baby (and live in Amsterdam and sail around the world . . . But that's another story!). Now she's BACK with a brand-new show about pregnancy and new motherhood. Featuring 10 original songs by Tamar, performed live on the piano, including: 'A Mother's Place is in the Wrong!!!' 'I Tried Hard to Breastfeed, But It Sucked,' 'Don't You Wanna Have a Natural Birth?!' and 'Alcohol, I'll Never Take You For Granted Again,' Plus One is a hilarious and heartfelt look at how the world pressures women to have babies and then tries to persuade them they are doing every part of it wrong. She and Harry speak by the daybeds and she tells him: 'You said you've fully ended it with Helena, [and that] there's nothing there with her." Then all of a sudden Meg stands up and says: "You're telling two different girls two different things. Something's not adding up there.' Harry replies: 'I think that I've been honest with you…' This only blurs things further for Harry and Shakira, leaving their relationship more confused than ever. The next day, Harry and Helena venture to the Hideaway for some alone time away from prying eyes. Later on in the episode an unexpected recoupling sees one couple's fate sealed. I'm taking on the favourite in the Coral-Eclipse with a winner staring us all in the face

The blockbuster Group 1 has all the makings of a classic MATT CHAPMAN I'm taking on the favourite in the Coral-Eclipse with a winner staring us all in the face Oh for a crystal ball to know who will be in front after a furlong in Saturday's Coral-Eclipse at Sandown. It's a puzzle Carol Vorderman would surely relish. 1 I have a feeling we'll see the real Delacroix once again in the Coral-Eclipse after his Derby flop Credit: PA As I have written many times, pace is a crucial factor in solving most horse races, but it's not the be all and end all. Ultimately, the best horse can win whatever the circumstances, and for those of us looking at an angle into the Eclipse, it's possible we might just be overcomplicating things believing this is a race to be 'stolen' from the front. After all, on paper strong favourite Ombudsman is the clear form choice. Indeed, after his Prince of Wales's romp Ombudsman is not only the best horse in this afternoon's feature shown live at 3.35 on ITV, but with a mark of 128 he's actually the best turf horse on the planet. And that's an accolade given to the John & Thady Gosden-handled inmate after just six appearances, so there is no reason why he won't have plenty more to show us. Ombudsman also has decent course form, having chased home Almaqam on his seasonal return in the Brigadier Gerard, so the track holds no fears. It was a belting return and no one will be surprised if Ombudsman romps in. And what about Sosie? Andre Fabre's rare Eclipse raider is another belting colt. Sosie has won six of his nine outings and was sent off favourite when finishing fourth in last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Since then, Sosie has run twice, over 1m1f and an extended 1m2f. He scored on both occasions, landing Group 1s in the Ganay and Prix d'Ispahan. But I want to take both Sosie and Ombudsman on, even if it seems a bit crackers. It's a hunch that the Prince of Wales's form might not be quite what it looks. There's no doubt Los Angeles ran well below par and Anmaat did well in second but the ground was against him. As for Sosie, despite the evidence I still feel he might be best over a longer trip. So who might cause an upset? That's where the pace angle stares one in the face. With no pacemaker involved this is an Eclipse gagging for a leader who can keep quickening from the front. DELACROIX is a strong stayer at this trip, led when landing the Ballysax at Leopardstown and was bang to the fore in the Derby Trial at the same track. The Dubawi colt, trained by Aidan O'Brien and the pick of Ryan Moore, never showed up at Epsom. His sire Dubawi has never sired a Derby winner, but he has at least produced two Eclipse winners in Al Kazeem and Ghaiyyath. In what's an Eclipse to savour we have two Classic winners in the field in French Derby hero Camille Pissarro and 2,000 Guineas winner Ruling Court to consider, and outsider Hotazhell is no mug himself. Who will eclipse them? It's Delacroix for me.
