Jaideep Ahlawat reveals how he proposed to wife in true Jaat style: ‘There won't be any shortage of milk and ghee'

Indian Express4 days ago
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has kept his personal life away from the limelight. The actor has been married to Jyoti Hooda for 16 years. Jyoti was Jaideep's junior at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), but their relationship began in Haryana, even before they got admission to FTII. Recently, Jaideep, who appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, was asked about how he proposed to his wife.
During the interaction, Kapil asked if his wife found his proposal genuine or thought he was just acting really well. Speaking about the same, Jaideep quipped, 'Do you think a Jaat boy like me would know the art of proposing?' Vijay Varma seized the moment and joked, 'I think he would have taken a ghee carton to her to propose.'
Jaideep Ahlawat agreed with Vijay Varma and said, 'Yeah that's pretty close. I told her, 'There won't be any shortage of milk and ghee in the house. Now the choice is yours.''
After struggling for years in the film industry, Jaideep Ahlawat has finally made a name for himself. The actor made his debut with a small role in the 2010 film Aakrosh. He became a star after the release of the show Paatal Lok in 2020. Since then, Jaideep has been a part of various high-profile projects like Jaane Jaan, Maharaj, Jewel Thief, and more. Jaideep's hard work paid off after years of struggle. He recently bought two luxurious apartments worth R 20 crore in the posh area of Andheri West, Mumbai, in the residential project – Poorna Apartments.
Ahlawat appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show along with Vijay Varma, Jitendra Kumar, and Pratik Gandhi. Apart from Jaideep, Pratik also spoke about his married life and explained that since he and his wife both come from a theatre background, even during fights they make sure to speak with clarity because of years of training as theatre actors. 'Even if you fumble during a fight, the other one will ask you to repeat it with clarity.'

They've broken bones on screen, stirred patriotism in cinemas, and made us chant 'Dhai kilo ka haath'. But once upon a time, they were just two adorable kids in a blurry photo — one of them pouty in a knicker. Who are these two in the viral throwback? At first glance, the grainy black-and-white photo may seem like just another childhood memory. But look again — sitting in the lap of an elder is little Bobby Deol, face scrunched up and wearing nothing but a knicker. Next to him, resting a hand on the shoulder, is his older brother Sunny Deol. Two of Bollywood's most iconic Punjabi heroes were captured before their stardom. What's with the Pakistan connection? The elder boy in the photo, Sunny Deol, later became the face of raw, chest-thumping patriotism in Bollywood. He starred in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, where his character famously hoisted the Indian flag in Pakistan. The film, ironically, gained cult status across the border, too. Where are they now? Sunny Deol recently made a power-packed comeback with Gadar 2, and while the box office performance of his last release, Jaat, was modest, his action-hero image remains intact. Up next, he's ready to star in Border 2 alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, a film fans are eagerly awaiting. Why is this photo special? It reminds us that even the fiercest screen warriors once had their vulnerable, innocent moments, captured not in cinemascope but in monochrome. From Bobby's teary eyes to Sunny's steady presence, this photo is a nostalgic capsule of two stars before they rose.

Some series and serials give identity to stars which never fades off. Something similar happened with Aasif Khan. If the name doesn't ring a bell, then let us tell you the man is known for one of the hit series Panchayat. If you think it is Jitendra, Ashok Pathak, Raghubir Yadav or Faisal Khan, then your guesses are completely wrong. The man in discussion is the famous Aasif Khan. Aasif had humble beginnings. Over the years, the actor starred in various series including Mirzapur, Panchayat, Paatal Lok, Jamtara, Pagglait, and Human. He gained massive recognition for his dialogue, 'Gajjab Bezzati hai Yaar,' in Panchayat, giving him the name and fame he deserved. Aasif Khan Heart Attack News Recently, Aasif made headlines when news of his heart attack surfaced online. According to reports, Aasif Khan suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He received the needed treatment and the 34-year-old actor is stable now. When Aasif Khan Served Food at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's Wedding Yes, while this may sound absurd, not many people know that Aasif once served food at Saif and Kareena's wedding. When he came to Mumbai, he started working in a mall. However, later, he worked in the kitchen department of a hotel, which hosted Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's wedding reception. Aasif Khan Faced Rejection When Aasif tried his luck in the industry, he faced massive rejections. One of the producers heavily criticised his looks and height. However, instead of taking that rejection negatively, he took it in a positive way and worked on his skills. He later returned to Mumbai to pursue his dreams in the entertainment industry once again and landed a job as a casting assistant.
