ESPN Reporter Fires Shocking Profanity-Laced Message at Yankees Fans originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
If you're a New York Yankees fan upset with the club's current state, don't take your complaints to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

To say that Passan doesn't want to hear them is an understatement. Passan didn't hold back in expressing his frustration and disgust with Yankees fans on Monday afternoon.
"When I hear Yankees fans complain, I'm like, 'Shut the [expletive] up," Passan said on the "Max Mannis Podcast."
Although there is nothing inherently wrong with profanity, it's nonetheless shocking to hear Passan—a longtime MLB insider who is arguably the face of ESPN's MLB coverage—deliver such commentary about Yankees fans.
ESPN had not issued a statement on Passan's comments as of publication.

Mannix, who works for Jomboy Media, noted that the Yankees have long sold the "championship or bust" mentality. However, the Yankees have only won one World Series and two pennants since the start of 2004.

"You don't have to listen to them," Passan responded. "If that's going to ruin your experience as a sports fan ... If the Yankees say that, and that puts you in a place where you are disappointed or saddened every year, then maybe do something to take yourself out of that realm of disappointed and sadness."
Aaron Judge and the Yankees enter Monday at 48-35 and hold a 1 1/2-game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.

Hurricanes Predicted to Trade For All-Star to Bolster Roster

Hurricanes Predicted to Trade For All-Star to Bolster Roster originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Carolina Hurricanes came up short in the Eastern Conference Final once again and are heading into the offseason with some questions. Carolina has the tools to be very successful, but they seem to be missing one piece of the puzzle. Advertisement This could see the front office be very active this summer, and it could mean big-game hunting. There are a few star players who could be available via the trade market, and Carolina could be primed to make a move. NHL writer Adam Gretz of Bleacher Report listed the Hurricanes as a landing spot for Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson. There have been reports out about Dallas being willing to move Robertson this summer. "Just months after the Hurricanes and Stars completed a blockbuster trade involving Mikko Rantanen, let's put them together for another blockbuster involving Hurricanes are loaded with future first-round picks, largely due to getting a pair of them from Dallas in the Rantanen trade. This could be an opportunity for Dallas to get one of them back, while also adding some serious young talent into the orgnaization," Gretz wrote. Dallas Stars left wing Jason Robertson (21) and Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid (97) look for the puck in the Oilers zone during the third period in game two of the Western Conference Final of Miron-Imagn Images The two sides have shown the ability to make a deal before, and they could link up once again. Advertisement Robertson could be exactly what the Hurricanes need to finally get them over the hump. His ability as both a passer and scorer could be the missing ingredient for the Hurricanes. This past season, Robertson scored 35 goals and 45 assists for Dallas. If the Stars are serious about trading him, the Hurricanes should look to make a legitimate offer. Travis Kelce Reveals the ‘Craziest Part' of Dating Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce Reveals the 'Craziest Part' of Dating Taylor Swift originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is entering his 13th NFL season and his third since he began dating 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift. He's already totaled 1,004 receptions for 12,151 receiving yards and 77 touchdowns — and he's not done yet. On the personal side, Kelce's life changed significantly in 2023 when he and Swift made things public. While he was already widely recognized as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, his fame skyrocketed to a new level. The three-time Super Bowl champion has been under a microscope in the public eye, much like Swift has been throughout her career. Kelce spoke about that aspect of his relationship on the latest episode of the "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast, calling it the "craziest part." "Yeah, it's just the being, I don't want to say being, it's just the paparazzi that's probably the only thing I didn't really grasp until you're in it, and that's probably the craziest part though. Like I'm just playing golf and all of a sudden in the trees there's a [expletive] guy with a camera and you're just like 'Oh [expletive], like I got to go to the restroom now I can't just go over here,' You know what I mean? Never been ashamed of slamming beers, just don't want my meat on Page Six." Kelce has a point. He's always been outgoing and open, but now he has to be mindful that anything he says or does can be all over the internet within minutes. With Chiefs training camp starting in three weeks, that only means one thing: the public appearances won't stop and TV broadcasts will soon be back to showing Swift in her suite at Kelce's games, supporting him as he looks to win his fourth Super Bowl. Golden Knights Make Big Mitch Marner Announcement on Tuesday

Golden Knights Make Big Mitch Marner Announcement on Tuesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Vegas Golden Knights were able to land star Mitch Marner from the Toronto Maple Leafs. Marner will now join the Golden Knights in their quest to win another Stanley Cup title. Advertisement It was a sign-and-trade between the two teams, landing Vegas the biggest scheduled free agent this summer. But with the deal now finalized, the Golden Knights announced what number Marner would wear this season. Vegas took to social media to announce the number. Marner will be wearing number 93 for the team going forward. Marner joining the Golden Knights was heavily expected throughout the process, but the two sides had to work through a deal to get things done. Marner was almost traded to Vegas at the trade deadline last season, but the talks fell through. Now, Vegas adds one of the better scoring forwards in the NHL, and they have beefed up the roster. Marner will bring both scoring and playmaking abilities to the roster, and the Golden Knights should be seen as one of the favorites to win it all next season.
