The Denver Broncos are gearing up for rookie minicamp this week -- their newly minted rookie draft class, undrafted signees and tryout players will show their goods to the team's coaching staff.
One of the tryout invites is local wide receiver Max McLeod from the Colorado School of Mines, a Division II program. McLeod (6-3, 200 pounds) was a four-year player for Mines, where he hauled in 290 receptions for 4,688 yards and 54 touchdowns with the Orediggers.

At the DII level, McLeod was voted a three-time All-American and set an NCAA record (for all levels) for having at least one reception in 56 straight games. At Mines' pro day, McLeod ran a 4.54 40-yard dash and had a 33-inch vertical. McLeod was the all-time leading receiver in Oredigger history, recording 1,000-yard receiving seasons three straight years (2022, 2023 and 2024). Not only was McLeod a great football player, but he was book smart too, earning his bachelor's in mechanical engineering in 2023.
McLeod is one of at least 25 players to have earned a tryout with the Broncos, and he'll aim to make the 90-man roster prior to training camp in July.

Caitlin Clark's Former Teammate Moves On from WNBA Amid Season

Caitlin Clark's Former Teammate Moves On from WNBA Amid Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Former Indiana Fever guard Grace Berger is headed to a new team for the 2025 basketball season. The Louisville, Kentucky, native, who starred at Indiana University, was selected in the first round of the 2023 WNBA Draft by the Fever. She played in 47 games for Indiana before being waived in February 2025. Advertisement Shortly after her release, Berger signed with the Minnesota Lynx on Feb. 7 and remained with them till May 14. However, she never appeared in a game for the team. In between WNBA stints, Berger gained experience overseas with Turkish clubs Genika KESB and OGM Ormanspor. Now, she's set for a fresh start in Australia. On Friday, the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) announced a major signing: 'MAJOR SIGNING 📰 Grace Berger, former @indianafever player and American point guard, has signed with the Sydney Flames for WNBL 2025/26 🔥.' Berger played in 36 games during her rookie WNBA season, averaging 4.2 points per game. She saw limited action in her second season due to the Fever's roster changes, including the high-profile addition of Caitlin Clark. Berger appeared in only 11 games before her release. Advertisement The Fever have had a turbulent start to the 2025 season. Indiana is 4-5 and has dealt with a string of injuries. Clark, in her second WNBA season, has missed the last five games. Guard Sophie Cunningham has appeared in only four games, leaving the backcourt in constant flux. Their last title came in 2017. They finished last season with an 11-10 record, missing the playoffs for the sixth straight year. Berger will seek to jumpstart her pro career and help the Flames return to postseason contention. Trade Idea Moves Dolphins' Tyreek Hill to Cardinals

Trade Idea Moves Dolphins' Tyreek Hill to Cardinals originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In the immediate aftermath of the Miami Dolphins' final regular season game of 2024, which resulted in the Florida-based franchise missing the playoffs, wide receiver Tyreek Hill made his stance on returning to the team as clear as can be. Advertisement "I'm out, bro," Hill told reporters in the locker room after the game. A move out of Miami has yet to materialize for Hill, who has not made any public statements about wanting to leave since January and attended the Dolphins' mandatory minicamp this week. Bleacher Report's Alex Kay believes that will not be the case by September, as he suggests the Dolphins' front office should field calls with that of the Arizona Cardinals. Kay predicts the Dolphins' return package will include two draft picks – a third- and fourth-rounder in 2026. The financial ramifications of the deal should be incentive enough for Miami to move Hill, Kay wrote. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) practices during mandatory minicamp at Hard Rock Navarro-Imagn Images "Hill's contract calls for him to earn $27.7 million in guaranteed salary this season, but cutting or trading him would result in a manageable dead money hit of just $12.8 million. It would also free up nearly $15 million in immediate cap room," Kay wrote. "With the 'Phins sitting on just $14 million in available cap space — the sixth-lowest in the league — a breakup makes plenty of fiscal sense." Advertisement Kay likes the Cardinals as an ideal trade destination for Hill because it would provide them with a one-two punch at a position the team has not pursued aggressively in the draft or trade market so far this offseason. "The team is on the rise under head coach Jonathan Gannon, going from 4-13 in his first season to 8-9 last year. The receiving corps still needs a jolt, however, as Arizona avoided making any major splashes in free agency or the draft at the position," Kay wrote. "While the Cardinals have a foundational pass-catcher in Marvin Harrison Jr. to build around for the long haul, adding Hill would give quarterback Kyler Murray the weapons he needs to contend in wide-open NFC West races this coming year and over the next few seasons." Hill, who was named to the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team, has put together a laundry list of accomplishments since his rookie season in 2016. He is a Super Bowl champion, a five-time First-Team All-Pro, and an eight-time Pro Bowler. Yankees' Aaron Judge's monster 469-foot HR vs. Royals has the internet stunned

The post Yankees' Aaron Judge's monster 469-foot HR vs. Royals has the internet stunned appeared first on ClutchPoints. Noah Cameron's sixth career start for the Kansas City Royals did not get off to a great start. Cameron had a chance to match Royals' royalty if he shut the New York Yankees down. The Royals got swept in their first meeting of the season against New York, and Aaron Judge hopes to keep the winning streak going. After Cameron walked Trent Grisham in the top of the first inning, Judge took full advantage. Advertisement The Yankees took a 2-0 lead with one swing from the American League MVP candidate with a 469-foot home run. The home run, Judge's 24th on the season, put him within two homers of the league lead. Cal Raleigh is still ahead of New York's superstar, but Judge is having another great season. He entered the game with a batting average of .396 and has a chance to have a historic first half of the season. Judge's home run sent Yankees fans wild on social media, where they reacted to the towering shot to left field. 'Aaron Judge just hit a home run that almost went over the Royals' Hall of Fame at Kauffman Stadium,' said ESPN's Jeff Passan. 'Estimated distance: 469 feet. I've been to hundreds of games here and never seen a ball hit there.' Advertisement 'So much better than Ohtani and it's not even close,' said one fan, weighing him against the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger. 'just give him the AL MVP,' said another, declaring the race over. 'MY CAPTAIN BABY,' another fan claimed. 'For the love of god, why are pitchers still pitching to this guy?' asked one fan. '😂 Don't get me wrong he's an enormous talent (no pun intended) but it's time for the Barry Bonds treatment. Last I looked, Juan Soto isn't in the Yankee lineup anymore!' Judge and the Yankees entered Tuesday's game coming off two straight home losses to the Boston Red Sox. With Judge's home run against Cameron and the Royals, New York hopes to get back on track. Advertisement The Yankees's success is not solely because of Judge, but he leads the way. New York's captain has become the face of American baseball, and he continues to be must-watch TV every time he steps into the box.
